This series is based off a comic book by Dennis Liu. The comic book is titled Raising Dion the comic book became popular. Because of the video trailer for the comic. Fans were pushing for it to made into a series or movie. Then Micheal B. Jordan got the producer rights for the project. I am happy it finally got made. Me and my little nephews will be watching this series.

This show is phenomenal, and this child playing Dion, is the most natural child acting role I have ever seen. It's like seeing an actual kid in real life, but acting of course. I cannot wait for season 2!

The show feels slow at certain points but that is because it focus alot on the challenges of raising a superhero child.
There is also an underlying story about how they got their powers, which eventually accumulates into one of the best plot twist at the end.
I finish the whole season 1 .. Who else ready for season 2 ?
So ready. Hopefully I can entertain myself until then by watching again and seeing how they set up that twist.

This series is based off a comic book by Dennis Liu. The video you are referring to was a ad for the comic.
@@JSS90 On the surface, maybe. But the creator is a writer/director of commercials and film projects. The "ad" was more of a pitch/sizzle reel (not a complete narrative, true). Though I haven't read the comic, it wasn't a series. It's a 24-page one shot. To me, that sounds more like a storyboard of the first episode. It's not like this is an established IP with a following.

I really enjoyed this show. Episode 8 did it for me. During the first couple of episodes I thought it was a stupid show but after watching the whole thing, I can safely recommend it.👍🏾

Hope a Season 2 comes out soon and Dion. Amazing Kid. And i know there is a season 2 due to that cliffhanger at the end of the last episode.

This show is so underrated
I watched the whole thing, my little sister and i LOVED IT. Honestly surprised it was rated PG, but not in a bad way. It felt so intense, it’s wildly impressive how no gore, sex, or weapons were needed to create the some of the most intense atmospheres this show had, ESPECIALLY towards the end. The minute clues and details that were foreshadowing throughout the show were also very memorable but not obvious, and it all just clicked together very nicely for me by the end of the season. I loved it 🥺🥺

I personally love S1 of Heroes AND LiS (until they replaced Chloe's voice actor. Not cool when Ash Burch put her own experiences into her performance. Korra's production won a great actor from Square's screw up though, and got General Kovirra!)
(I personally refuse to buy Before The Storm out of principle. Treating voice actors as easily replaceable is bloody rude.)
