What's nice about Peach's Garden is that you can glide through the hedge sculptures meaning you can give Luigi a high-5 instead of leaving him hanging as well as do your own imitation of Quagmire with Peach's sculpture
London Loop: On the split path in lap 1, there's an item set if you go straight, but no items at all if you go to the right. This is the second item set of the course, and there isn't another item set for quite a while before or after it. Thus, it's usually best to go straight in regular races, especially if you're ahead because the first item set doesn't always give you defense. (Plus, it's the only time you'll get to race inside Leadenhall Market, whereas the outside path is revisited on lap 3.) Also, going behind the first Chain Chomp on lap 2 or 3 will make you miss the first item set of the lap. Rock Rock Mountain: It's usually better to grab a coin and trick on the horizontal pipe instead of tricking on the pipe shooting air, unless you're going for the 3-mushroom shortcut, in which case you may also be able to trick the upper part of the horizontal pipe. Speaking of the 3-mushroom shortcut, it's viable on 150cc if you drift off the wooden ramp during your third mushroom, which can also save you a mushroom on 200cc. You can even cut inside the wooden ramp without losing speed with three mushrooms on 150cc if you do it just right. Of course, any of these options will make you miss an item set, but there's another one right afterward, so it's no big deal. There's even an alternative 1- or 2-mushroom shortcut by using the second glider ramp to shoot far off to the right. Maple Treeway: The halfpipe has items, and it's usually worth it in regular races, because it's not too slow and there isn't another item set for quite a while before it. Berlin Byways: You missed a couple of minor offroad cuts, but you got the big ones. Also, there's a double item inside the train, but it's usually not worth it because there are item sets not too far away, and it's slower than the main path while being very precise. Peach Gardens: In the hedge maze, there are only single item boxes in the middle path, but there are double items on the outer paths, so go on the outside if you need defense. For the final lap, you missed some minor grass shortcuts in the section only accessible on lap 3. Also, during the gliding section, all the sculptures behave the same: If you glide directly into the center of them, it'll push you away, but you can glide through the rest of them. Meanwhile, the other shrubbery inside the maze will let you glide right through, and everything else is fully solid. Also, things that give you trick boosts while gliding include the fountains and their water jets, the garden walls in the hedge maze, and even the Chain Chomps! Merry Mountain: You missed the very first grass cut. On the split path, the train path has 3 coins, whereas the ground path only has 1. Thus, the train path is always worth taking in regular races if you need coins, as well as on lap 1 of time trials. Also, the halfpipe isn't worth it unless you desperately need coins, as it's very slow and there's an item set right below it. By the way, taking the big offroad cut will make you miss that item set.
@@7u15g4m1ng no right at the start where the chain chomp spawns insted of going across the 2 bridges you can turn left right before the bridge. Ride along the edge. Its not faster but ya
There are indeed item boxes on the halfpipe section of Maple Treeway. They might even be useful to go for when you're in 1st place, just to make sure you get that second item and are guaranteed an item that defends against red shells.
I love this selection! I've played them all once and they are fantastic! Unfortunately got spoiled on peach gardens as my game updated earlier today, but I don't mind! I can't wait to play these all with my family later!
In Maple Treeway, there is item boxes on the half pipe outside Time Trial. In the train cart in the first lap of Berlin Byways, there is a Double Item Box in there outside Time Trials. In Peach Gardens, there is a driveable ledge at the start of the course on your left at the stone brick section. It isn't really a shortcut but it is fun to note that corner is driveable. In the final lap of Peach Gardens, you can drive through some parts of the topiaries but of course, remember to give Topiary Luigi a High Five by flying right through his hand!
All the short cuts in Wave 3 are pretty good I can’t wait to use them when I start playing Wave 3 but The Rainbow Road for Mario Kart 7 looks really nice and also I cannot believe that their was another route in lap 3 where you’re going backwards that’s pretty cool and also I hope that in Wave 4 for next year for 2023 I hope that we get Wario’s Colosseum or Waluigi’s Stadium cause both of them are good but the music from them are so dang good to listen too so I hope next year we get one of them or both for Wave 4
Nice! Thanks for the video! I recall there being 2 extra shortcuts in the original Mario Kart 7 Rainbow Road, but I guess they don't exist in this version. One was going off one of the planet's glider ramps, then diving down to gain extra gliding momentum which allowed you to cut one of the corners with dash boosters. There was also a shortcut at the end of the track near the finish line. You could hop down off the upper lip of the track to basically cut the last turn before the finish line.
I always take the start Maple Treeway cut lap one because I'll get slowed down and be behind when grabbing items then speed up past the other racers and end up in the 2nd-6th range with a 12th-8th place item. Not as good as in Wii where I also did this but still.
Also you could argue the same goes for the race items, but the only battle item that’s not in the main races is the feather and there’s two empty spaces.
The empty slots ate there because they use a 6 by 4 grid to lay out the items as there are 22 items in the game and an 11 by 2 grid would probably be too long and ugly for the screen.
@@Tinaphromad yet that still doesn’t make sense in the case of smash ultimate then because if you haven’t bought any or all of the new characters in that game there’s an uneven amount of slots. Having empty placeholders is way uglier than just not having them to begin with. Then people will always wonder why those spots are empty if the case was just for the look. They’re clearly hinting at something by leaving those there. The only item in the game that isn’t in the main racing is the feather since it can only be used in battle mode, why are there TWO empty spots and not just the one? I doubt it’s just to be aesthetically pleasing.

do people actually use all these strategies for a simple fun game like Mario Kart? LOL I just find it funny since I only play this with friends and family for fun and it's not that serious to get the best lap times.

That rainbow road looks so cool
I really want someone to chase the sleigh on merry mountain
The glider is slower on rainbow road always avoid they glider and go to the bottom path.

Concerning the new items menu, there’s empty slots that hint at new items coming in future waves
It's not hinting at new items. The Battle item menu has a large number of blank spaces, especially in Renegade Roundup.

cutting by the presents in merry mountain is so useful, it can easily put you from 10th to 2nd or somethin
3DS Rainbow Road: you can jump off the track before the cheese onto the moon section to get you to the moon a lot faster.
They got rid of the blue shell on the mini map for the update
That’s a bad change
You are right, gliding "feels" like it is faster. But actually the ground speed is slightly better than the air speed ;)
I have got to see the whole playthrough of Nin10doland doing this.

Nice video straight to the point
On the last section of rainbow road, it's actually faster without gliding.
I know about them all...
You can trick off the chain-chomps while gliding on peach gardens
The Maple WR takes the wall ramp, at the very end of it. On 200cc at least, I believe
On peach garden in reverse lap with glider you can trick off fountains idk if it’s that useful but yeah
for the london loop grass cut, you only need 1 on 200cc
Well at least that’s what I see lol
"Wall ramps"
You mean HALFPIPES

In maple treeway you can do the shortcut at the start without a mushroom, but i only believe it is possible on 200cc
You skipped one shortcut on lap 2 of rainbow road. Go off the track with the boost panels to land on the moon faster.

Rainbow Road Medley- Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
