Financial protection against climate risks: the Global Shield in action

This COP29 side event, hosted on 18 November 2024 in the Climate, Peace and Transboundary Resilience Pavilion, was led by the Global Shield Against Climate Risks. The session spotlighted Ghana's achievements in implementing pre-arranged finance solutions through the Global Shield initiative. It offered insights into how these financial mechanisms help address climate vulnerabilities and accelerate resilience-building in the country.
