I'm going to end up quoting this song out of context during an inappropriate moment at some point and I don't even care. "It said quarter to 5, but it was quarter to ASS..."
Just in case anyone didn't know, a few years ago someone asked one of the writers, Alex Reuben, who the Ass Crack Bandit is and he posted an image of the script which said "Annie (was probably the Ass Crack Bandit)" Annie also acted suspiciously when the ACB was referenced during one season 6's episodes. And probably the biggest clue is that when Jeff says "we'll get him" Annie immediately replies with "or her".
And then the look she gave him after, which at first seemed like her coming to a realization about whose identity it might have be, could have just been her realizing she made a slip-up potentially exposing her quarter hijinx.
It's funny, cause it's been what ? 2 years ? 3 years since this show ended forever ? I moved on with my life, I'm sure I forgot a lot about it. And then, one day like this one, I'll remember one episode, one scene, and I'll google it. *sighs* This show will stay with me forever.

I wonder if they all know how much people genuinely love this show and their characters and how they are just so great and this show was awesome, much love. this song is just tooooooo well done as well. wow
I have a theory about who it is: It's everyone. Let me explain: So, if you listen to the lyrics in the song, it looks like some lines are written by the study group: - Jeff: "another coin down the drain, now that's some change that won't last" - Britta: "government man can't help we're all alone" - Abed: ""maybe we're the crooks and he's the hero" - Shirley: "maybe he's the messiah" - Dean: "and don't forget your jukebox money!" - Annie: "can't stand the fear, can't stand not knowing" - Troy: "25 cents at a time, he's taking our souls" - Hickey: "coins on the sidewalk, coins on the palms of my hand" "coins in the asscrack or the eyes of a dead man" But the episode obviously has some more clues: - Annie: Almost at the end, she, along with Jeff, disappears and Duncan gets coined, plus the "or a she", almost at the end - Abed: The night vision scene is something only Abed would have installed on his cameras or as a standalone set, plus the scene where he's deleting shows that the episode was parodying, covering his tracks as he's known to take other shows and movies as inspiration - Britta: The note found inside the bear's ass had "what are you gonna do, not have butts?", which is something Britta would say, plus the paper inside the bear's ass goes along with Britta's sense of humor, and let's not forget the typo at the end - Dean: He made a deal with Starburns so he could close the case and was playing with a coin at the end, something he would be aware was a bit weird considering the past events - Duncan: The scene where he's with annie shows that he has a roll of quarters and then makes a weird face like he knew he was caught - Hickey: At the end, he's reading a paper note about a similar crime, probably from his cop years, and then makes a weird grin - Jeff: Jeff doesnt have many things leading to him being the suspect, but the "or a she" scene shows that he suspects of everyone else - Shirley: At the end, she's seen counting the money and smiling. Earlier in the episode she said "sorry, no change, blame the bandit", with that typical tone of hers - Troy: Troy doesn't even have a scene at the end, nor does Duncan, but Duncan's lack of scene could be explained by the fact that he's not really in the study group. Troy's however, could mean he's not a suspect, but a victim But, why would they do this? What's their motivation? - Annie: As the lyrics imply, she "can't stand not knowing, can't stand the fear", meaning she most likely coined someone on porpouse to get the investigation going, and to get more people interested on the case, meaning she would get the answers more quickly - Abed: Abed's motivation could be to just parody another show , but that's a relatively weak motivation, so who knows - Britta: Britta's actions could be considered as a "ploy" to show everyone how it's all just part of the authorities plans, as well as how something so "simple" turns everyone's minds - Dean: The dean was just as invested in finding who it was at the start, but after some time, he stops that, and we can assume he makes the deal with Starburns. He probably coined someone in the hopes of ending the case and having more "evidence" against Starburns - Duncan: Duncan has been seen to act a bit inmaturely at times, so he coould've played along just to mess with everyone else - Hickey: Hickey was at a very late stage of his life, and him looking at the piece of newspaper could indicate he wanted to feel his cop years once more by creating a case and seeing how no one is able to solve it, plus he was never really invested on finding out who it was as much as you would expect from someone who was an army guy, a cop and a criminology professor - Jeff: I think Jeff and Troy are the ones that never coined anyone, thinking it was just one person all along, which explains why Jeff doesn't have a standalone scene at the end, plus, he doesn't have any motivations for doing so - Shirley: Shirley's motivation is clear if you look that way, she doesn't give change, which means she gets more money, seen at the end when she smiles as she's counting the money. It also makes sense since she has a business that previously dealt whit a lot of money, coins included. Though that last smile could only indicate that an external situation is bringing her a lot of money, but it doesn't make much she wouldn't give change if it was that way - Troy: Again, I think he's the least suspicious character So, in conclusion, I think the original bandit mentioned back at season 2 was just one person, and it was the same one that striked first at the start of the episode, but after that, everyone else got so wrapped up, that they decided to coin others just to end the cycle, without realizing that doing that fueled everyone else's actions, making the cycle bigger and bigger, all while the original bandit is laughing off...
I say this about every episode but this was probably my favourite. It was dark yet funny. The best damn comedy to ever exist. Why can’t they make em like this anymore 😭
It was Britta and Duncan together. -they high five when star burns is caught -the phone caller is not British and likely female -when Duncan is cracked he calls out "get Britta" -Duncan was gone for the bandits dormant period (Britta couldn't act alone) -Britta is likely to write run on sentences (re:Britta) -finally Britta writes her name in for the bandit at the end scene
Captain Obvious apparently it was everyone major but Jeff, Troy, Chang, Hickey and the Dean. Abed could use the time to catch up on TV shows, Shirley profited in her sandwich shop, Annie got to be with Jeff, britta has a thesis, dean's assistant could fuck with him, Duncan for his compulsions and the lunch lady for reasons unexplored.
Nah, the reality is that every incident was carried out by a different person. Each person assumed that there was only one other bandit, but in reality it was all of them.
There's all sorts of spammed "the absolute legend...etc." comments on UA-cam, but you, my friend, are a TRUE legend for posting the full version of thos great song.

I think it was troy and abed together. I think they took inspiratiom from the scream movie in which there were two killers. It would explain troys over dramatict act when he was the victim in order to convinve people. Why abed wasnt in the hall on the stairs when he was the one doing it. I also believe that when we see that shot off the night vision goggles that i abeds imagination as we see stuff like it before. It also proves how the acb gets everywhere quickly
Marco Deen I’m hopeful that’s the case, they could make the movie about this, reveal that pierce faked his death and was the bandit while the school has one last paintball fight
@@todd4454 Actually it could be the case. Though I believe Abed did it. Pierce dying could be reference to 'The Zodiac' or someone believed to be the Zodiac, dying before their trial. Therefore after the crimes of 'The Zodiac' stopped. Im not entirely sure but Dan Harmon has a way of putting detail's, in a certain way to always be consistent and come together.

@@vworpin9945 I recognized him on my 2nd watchthrough but had no idea he did this song until this video was recommended to me lol
I have a theory about who it is:
It's everyone. Let me explain:
So, if you listen to the lyrics in the song, it looks like some lines are written by the study group:
- Jeff: "another coin down the drain, now that's some change that won't last"
- Britta: "government man can't help we're all alone"
- Abed: ""maybe we're the crooks and he's the hero"
- Shirley: "maybe he's the messiah"
- Dean: "and don't forget your jukebox money!"
- Annie: "can't stand the fear, can't stand not knowing"
- Troy: "25 cents at a time, he's taking our souls"
- Hickey: "coins on the sidewalk, coins on the palms of my hand" "coins in the asscrack or the eyes of a dead man"
But the episode obviously has some more clues:
- Annie: Almost at the end, she, along with Jeff, disappears and Duncan gets coined, plus the "or a she", almost at the end
- Abed: The night vision scene is something only Abed would have installed on his cameras or as a standalone set, plus the scene where he's deleting shows that the episode was parodying, covering his tracks as he's known to take other shows and movies as inspiration
- Britta: The note found inside the bear's ass had "what are you gonna do, not have butts?", which is something Britta would say, plus the paper inside the bear's ass goes along with Britta's sense of humor, and let's not forget the typo at the end
- Dean: He made a deal with Starburns so he could close the case and was playing with a coin at the end, something he would be aware was a bit weird considering the past events
- Duncan: The scene where he's with annie shows that he has a roll of quarters and then makes a weird face like he knew he was caught
- Hickey: At the end, he's reading a paper note about a similar crime, probably from his cop years, and then makes a weird grin
- Jeff: Jeff doesnt have many things leading to him being the suspect, but the "or a she" scene shows that he suspects of everyone else
- Shirley: At the end, she's seen counting the money and smiling. Earlier in the episode she said "sorry, no change, blame the bandit", with that typical tone of hers
- Troy: Troy doesn't even have a scene at the end, nor does Duncan, but Duncan's lack of scene could be explained by the fact that he's not really in the study group. Troy's however, could mean he's not a suspect, but a victim
But, why would they do this? What's their motivation?
- Annie: As the lyrics imply, she "can't stand not knowing, can't stand the fear", meaning she most likely coined someone on porpouse to get the investigation going, and to get more people interested on the case, meaning she would get the answers more quickly
- Abed: Abed's motivation could be to just parody another show , but that's a relatively weak motivation, so who knows
- Britta: Britta's actions could be considered as a "ploy" to show everyone how it's all just part of the authorities plans, as well as how something so "simple" turns everyone's minds
- Dean: The dean was just as invested in finding who it was at the start, but after some time, he stops that, and we can assume he makes the deal with Starburns. He probably coined someone in the hopes of ending the case and having more "evidence" against Starburns
- Duncan: Duncan has been seen to act a bit inmaturely at times, so he coould've played along just to mess with everyone else
- Hickey: Hickey was at a very late stage of his life, and him looking at the piece of newspaper could indicate he wanted to feel his cop years once more by creating a case and seeing how no one is able to solve it, plus he was never really invested on finding out who it was as much as you would expect from someone who was an army guy, a cop and a criminology professor
- Jeff: I think Jeff and Troy are the ones that never coined anyone, thinking it was just one person all along, which explains why Jeff doesn't have a standalone scene at the end, plus, he doesn't have any motivations for doing so
- Shirley: Shirley's motivation is clear if you look that way, she doesn't give change, which means she gets more money, seen at the end when she smiles as she's counting the money. It also makes sense since she has a business that previously dealt whit a lot of money, coins included. Though that last smile could only indicate that an external situation is bringing her a lot of money, but it doesn't make much she wouldn't give change if it was that way
- Troy: Again, I think he's the least suspicious character
So, in conclusion, I think the original bandit mentioned back at season 2 was just one person, and it was the same one that striked first at the start of the episode, but after that, everyone else got so wrapped up, that they decided to coin others just to end the cycle, without realizing that doing that fueled everyone else's actions, making the cycle bigger and bigger, all while the original bandit is laughing off...

I'm so sad this isn't on spotify, such a banger!
Nice call ref, bite my banger!
maybe just download it and transfer it on to your phone ?
I say this about every episode but this was probably my favourite. It was dark yet funny. The best damn comedy to ever exist. Why can’t they make em like this anymore 😭
Legitimately one of the best songs I've heard
So glad i found this. This level of production is what makes shows stick with you for a life time.
It was Britta and Duncan together.
-they high five when star burns is caught
-the phone caller is not British and likely female
-when Duncan is cracked he calls out "get Britta"
-Duncan was gone for the bandits dormant period (Britta couldn't act alone)
-Britta is likely to write run on sentences (re:Britta)
-finally Britta writes her name in for the bandit at the end scene
Captain Obvious apparently it was everyone major but Jeff, Troy, Chang, Hickey and the Dean. Abed could use the time to catch up on TV shows, Shirley profited in her sandwich shop, Annie got to be with Jeff, britta has a thesis, dean's assistant could fuck with him, Duncan for his compulsions and the lunch lady for reasons unexplored.
Nah, it was Ted Cruz, he fits in the profile.
Nah, the reality is that every incident was carried out by a different person. Each person assumed that there was only one other bandit, but in reality it was all of them.
Lunch lady because she got higher tips
It was Annie.
There's all sorts of spammed "the absolute legend...etc." comments on UA-cam, but you, my friend, are a TRUE legend for posting the full version of thos great song.
Waking up with this song in my head. The best feeling. A-S-S-C-R-A-C-K Bandit!
Community has some really good satire songs.
Every detail in this show is so meticulous it makes it impossible to not love it.
That episode was so good, the atmosphere of it all, the dark lighting, it was just like a real crime thriller and that was awesome. And of course the music was excellent :P
I lost any interest to be living on this planet when the project had finished. It's like to have first love and lose it. hell, it's so hard. And don't even say I'm sensitive, I just loved this guys like they are real. trully the best thing I have ever watched.
Yeah if it weren't for this and Rick n Morty I'll kill my self
No1 has ever spoke a sentence so true, and no1 ever will.
Never before has there been so much theorizing about a goddamn sitcom. I love Community!
One of my favorite episodes. This song is just amazing
Maybe it was Pierce and he is now in hiding :O He disappeared at the right time...
@@pancak3565 i dount it, abed has the tracker in him and it showed him in the graveyard, he probably checked during the crackings
This song is actually good.
is it wrong to love it?
"I think we're spending too much time on a crime that nets you twenty-five cents." - Professor Buzz Hickey.
Basic Intergluteal Numismatics is my favourite episode of Community and this song brings back so many good memories.
"stop giving them towels!" 🤣
Nobody would down-vote a guy on his birthday
Love it !!! Community best serie ever!
That this long version exists gives me life. Love it so much! Community needs to come back for #andamovie
3:39 I've only just noticed they start cracking up at the end.
Thanks for that
The singer got cracked 😂
Does anybody know where (or if) I can find just the instrumental for this?
I immediately went to Spotify looking for it when I got to this episode. At least I was able to find it here. Thank you
I can't unhear the slurp when the singer sang safe 0:21 HELP
I love the "don't forget your jukebox money"
I was thinking the exact same thing so I looked to see if someone had already commented it and lo and behold I found myself
I loved the b-52's line. Such a good song.
I love the random love shack line thrown in there.
My friend suggested I start Community a few months ago and I was putting it off for ages, I’m so glad I finally got into it. Season 4 was a bit meh but I’m absolutely in love with Seasons 1-3 and Season 5 so far :)
Thanks Danny, your song suggestions are always the best 😂
What episode / where did he mention this in?
AND DON'T FORGET YOUR JUKEBOX MONEY!
I found this great show called Community. It makes my life brighter : 3
My favorite Ben Folds song
The last episode gets me everytime. Knowing there's songs makes it easier but starting the season again to the chagrin of my roommate is better.
Terrifyingly catchy
this is so much better than it has any right to be
pocket full of hawthorne
vs
a.s.s.c.r.a.c.k bandit
which is winning?
Both songs are stupid. But both songs are perfect. I love them, can't really pick one.
Trick question. The winner is Dean’s payday rap.
@@Kikua1612 OBAMA is SCARED of me!!!....I don't know what that was...I...
@@Kikua1612 most beautiful song of all time
Wtf....I like community and Ben folds and I just found this. It's great!

I really only did this cause I was bored, but people seem to like it. Any other songs I should put up lyrics for?

+Muraad4Prez night caps
The song I just can't get enough of. Just wish it could be found on Spotify!
Thank you so much for this!!! I wish like hell I could buy this song and blast it in my car.
download it using youtube mp3 downloader to ur phone
"He'll give you no quarter, but he'll give you a quarter" 👏👏👏
"Bend over with friends over" --Dean Pelton
Wow, this is unironically great. Had no idea they made a whole song for that episode 💀
Why can’t I find this on Apple Music or iTunes 😭🤣
I had been looking for it for a long time. I had been looking for it for a long time. Thank you 🇮🇹
I lost it entirely when it steered into Love Shack.
So glad to have found this song in full length! I just discovered community on Netflix and it’s such a great sitcom, I’m so amazed by it. Every scene is funny and even a shitty song is made funny and catchy, absolutely fantastic!
The hours I spent on this song. Damn
It's criminal how hard this song slaps still in 2023.
only the bandit knows
bruh why is this such a bop I can neither stop singing it or listening to it. help pls
I want to sing along to this song but I always end up fucking laughing at quarter to ass
Whenever i hear this song I think about Troy being wheeled over to Starburns and then shakily standing up BAHAHAHAHAHAH cinematic comedy gold
