For the salmon, my mom makes a schmear of a softened stick of salted butter, a whole bunch of green onions thinly sliced, whole bunch of parsley minced, 3-4 minced garlic cloves, half an onion worth of thinly sliced rings, salt and pepper. Mix it all together and schmear it onto a side of salmon. Add the onion rings on top before baking.
If you wrap your carrots in paper towels individually it does keep them longer, it helps with the moisture. I thought it was wierd at first when I heard it but it does work!!
My favorite all time k cups are at walmart. They are great value hazelnut. You can get them in a 12 pk for I believe about $ 4.00. I fell in love with them. You don't need any creamer. My mom had me try it at her house and I've loved it ever since.
If you have an aldi near you, try there for pumpkin. I stock up there around the holidays (I give a spoonful to my dogs daily, so I go through a bunch), so you might be able to still find it there!
Try the cookbook cook once eat all week it has really helped me and the kids love most of the recipes. It has been such a help when I don't have too much time in the week which is normal and I also try to cook a meal the day before so all I have to do is heat up the food for the evening and each later afternoon I make the meal for the next day and it's been an amazing plan. Just some things that have helped me and thanks for you're channel it has been very helpful and fun! Have a great evening!
I don't have a link for you, but, here is a dish that we have when we have leftover roast beef. We call it Shepherd pie but most wouldn't. grind or chop into small pieces the left over roast, layer it at the bottom of a deep casserole dish (there should be about 1 1/2 inches of meat), lay on top of the meat a shallow layer of pea's (one can usually does it, frozen works too), put a think layer of mashed potatoes (we like a a lot of potatoes so we put 2-3 inches), then put a layer of canned tomatoes (juice and all)(we prefer whole tomatoes but diced are good too), poke a few holes in the top and cut up a few pats of butter on top so the melted butter seeps into the holes and shake some some black pepper on top. Bake for about half an hour at 350 degrees until hot and bubbly on the sides. Note: You don't want to overbake it so the tomato juice evaporates. If that does happen I usually just put some heated tomato juice on top to make sure the dish has a "gravy". It's a very old family recipe. Hope you try it and like it.
I feel so honored that you shared your favorite family recipe! Thank you so much. I have never had Shepherds Pie, but I've always wanted to try it. I'll have to try out your 'Shepherds pie!' ❤️
A couple of years ago there was a pumpkin shortage (I don't remember why) and my family missed our homemade pumpkin muffins and breads so much I got creative. I used cooked mashed sweet potatoes, cooked mashed carrots and frozen thawed and drained butternut squash all with pretty great results. Yes, I know, it's not exactly pumpkin, but it got us through that time until canned pumpkin was readily available again. Just thought I'd give you the idea incase it is helpful! I enjoy your channel!
Hello from Malaysia! Love how organize u are 🥰 me as a working mum I struggled to do my grocery after work which is very tiring and then during the weekend i feels lazy to go out and ended up we splurged doing once a month grocery shopping which we buy things that we don’t need and forgetting things that we supposed to buy 🤣🤣 Anyway thanks for the useful pro tips from u ♥️♥️
Hello to you in Malaysia. You are a busy woman. Working and having to shop later in the day... that would be quite tiring. And I totally understand buying things we don't need or forgetting things... I must have my list or I miss things. Happy Monday! Have a great day.
Have you tried Cauliflower Cheese, very nice with crusty bread or crispy bacon and baby potatoes. I’m in England and I’m not as adventurous as you with spices!!! X
Dan-O’s is really good! You can get it at certain Kroger’s or order it online. It’s really good! I also like Tony Cacherie’s Cajun seasoning. I think you can find it everywhere!😁
Have you ever considered one of the delivery meal boxes such as Hello Fresh or Green Chef? My family of 5 tried it for a month. I just cancel it ( to save money(. But it was a good experience to see different meals. They send a recipe card that you can keep. I’m sure you can find a coupon or a friend can send you a free box too. Great haul!
I do use Hello Fresh from time to time. Thanks for the reminder. I have it currently paused because we weren't super excited about the meals. But I do check periodically to see if I will get a week here or there!
@@Thegrocerylady yes! I get it at Walmart usually and Dollar Tree has their own version too. I am in the middle of nowhere and can get it so should be easy to find.
Wow..I don't know where you live but it's much cheaper than here in Arkansas! Your 400.00 Sam's haul would have been close to 700.00 here! No pulp for me and the best dishwasher tabs I have come across are the Finish ones...but that might be your regular ones lol. Go ahead and clean and peel your carrots and put them a airtight container or zip lock and you won't have any problems they will stay fresh! Oh and pumpkin puree..try Dollar General or Walmart! And my cajen seasoning is Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning! Love your haul and personality...love and Blessings ❤🦋
Really?! Wow. We're in IL... I would have thought Arkansas would be cheaper. BTW: I have family that lived in Cherokee Village. My dishwasher seems to work best with Cascade. Maybe it will be in stock next time. Thanks for the pumpkin puree tip. I don't typically go to Walmart, but I may have to with the shortage of pumpkin at all my usual stores.
These big food companies are making fools out of all of us! I'm in process of transitioning to making everything from scratch! Everything can easily be made with basic ingredients like flour, sugar, tomato sauce, etc, even pasta can be made with a pasta maker, and once you get good you'll never waste so much money plus you can teach kids to make foods from scratch! Bread and donuts and they'll have a blast, and it will last a lifetime!
How fantastic that you're transitioning to making everything from scratch. I would LOVE to learn how to make my own noodles and homemade pasta sauce. I'm still searching for the perfect recipe. 🍝
We think alike. I was just telling Markie we should look at Pioneer Woman... she always has good ideas! I haven't done much with Six Sisters... thanks for the idea!
If you can find new England brand it is seriously the best coffee and my sis in law brought 5 or 6 different kinds of Starbucks coffee beans when she worked there. We've probably compared it to well over 30 different kinds and new england is always our choice.
I love coffee , I drink mccafe k kups. I also will order on line from Sam's if rats all I need. They also comes in defaf. Next month Starbucks special coffee comes out. Only towards the holidays. I usually get 2 to last
I have the best luck with Sam's Club strawberries lasting about 3-4 days... It's because they are dry on the outside. If there is any juice or wetness my strawberries go as fast as yours. My kids go through strawberries fast, so for the most part they don't last in our fridge for too many days.

Hy-Vee has Libby's pumpkin. I was there this morning.

After you wash them let them air dry. Them store them in a air tight container.
