Was just searching my history for one of Sean's renditions which blew my mind last week, forgot all his videos blow my mind and they just keep getting better
Awesome Sean. When I hear this tune it makes you wonder what Stevie would have been writing today. He was only 35 when we lost him. It’s so cool that his music lives on.
@@seanmannguitar It’s so cool that you obviously love SRV. Your technique is so good. There can never be enough SRV influenced players, I’m one myself but you are right at the top. I just bought a 64 super reverb black face. I cut the head off and run it into a 15 inch JBL. Incredible tone when cranked above 5. I look forward to more of your vids mate.
I’m the biggest SRV fan besides you. Brother this is the only song I want played at my funeral. I’ve listened to this song Thousands of times. I’m a guitar player myself and you fucking nailed it man. Blew me away. Simply pardon my language fucking amazing! All the songs you do are spot on. Truly an inspiration. Keep rockin brother. God bless you!
Missed this one. Was just telling my brother in law yesterday that it is not often that someone can emulate SRV, or anyone of that talent for that matter, but there's a North East lad who can. You certainly can mate. Class man
Just when i was getting sick of single coil teles and strats...ì was thinking humbuckers ...Les Paul ect. Watching and listening to you made me love. The sound of a strat...ì had almost forgotten...
Just fantastic, you make it look so effortless. This is a such a great song. My brother and I played it at a New Years show just before his unfortunate passing. Thank you for such a wonderful memory.
I came just walking home from the subway listening to Riviera Paradise and thinking about how incredible it would be to play the piano solo on guitar, and just a few minutes later discovered this. Coincidence? This is exactly what it should sound like, what a great job. I'm entirely impressed. Very difficult song to play.
Love both strats and teles. They each have areas where they outshine the other. Both are versatile and it's hard to say which is best that's why I have both.
Insanely accurate and dexterous fingers. I play this song every night whilst I fall asleep and this cover is amazing! Such a calming and meaningful song. R.I.P SRV
how you also played Reese's organ solo so amazingly proves the absolute channel of music that flows from those fingers. so mean and so clean Mr. Mann, please don't ever stop
You have captured IT. I am so glad you came up on my listing tonight. That can only be described as awesome, i wish I new a grander word that satisfies the joyous expression you have captured in this song, its one of my favorites by the legend that is SRV. RIP my brother, your gracious music you bestowed upon us will not be forgotten in the artist that revere your love for the Lady we all love the sweet tones of her melodies we shall playing on temperance of you. The strat is that guitarist Lady we love. There are some fine ladies out there but the blued has fully been grasped in the heart. The theory comes with great ease the pain has to be attached to comprehend her rhythm.
Keep pushing your learning Sean and open your mind to new ideas. Would love to hear music that your own ear creates too. Brilliant playing, sadly never saw SRV live but you are channeling him in my view
you flow like water on the guitar. that section from 0:10 - 0:13 especially caught my guard. That was ridiculously smooth and i've been trying to get that flow for some time now!!!!!! i'm 14 so i know theres still a lot for me to learn and i wanna thank you for inspiring me to do so.
Sean I’ve watched this quite a few times. Your technique is flawless. So articulate with immense feel. Smooth as cream. I’m so jealous. Wow, jaw dropping. Let’s here some of your tunes.
Well done Sean, nailed it! I like how you put your own unique touches into it, sometimes obvious and sometimes very subtle. Love the tone as usual, I’m not jealous at all, haha, have a great weekend, it’s gonna be a wet up there and here in sunny Sheffield too!
Aplausos!!!
Amazing performance Sean, even improvising the Reese Wynans solo.... fantastic, never seen that been played on guitar, must have took a lot of work. Well done, also the tone is perfect.👋

Totally! I definitely think he would have explored more jazz elements. Wish we could have heard more of what he had to offer
