- Class 37s try to avoid me on a Sunday Afternoon at Carlisle Station plus Rail Head Treatment Trains and Passenger trains 01 December 24
A chilly afternoon at Citadel Station!
I was hoping to see a pair of Class 37s heading from Larbert to Carnforth Steamtown. Well I did - but I was on Platform 4 and they went south through Platform 1. Twice I made a move to go to Platform 1 after they had arrived but had second thoughts each time. The train was 40 minutes early and was due a crew change. However its a bit of a trek from the south end of P4 to the south end of P1. Ah well.
Plenty of Passenger trains in this recording too, including the colourful Pride pendolino. We also see the Sunday Rail Head Treatment Trains.

That pair of early 1960s 37s were making less clag than the far newer T&T 68s!
I was waiting at Peterborough for my train back to Norwich a week or so ago and got up close and personal to a few class 66s & a 70, which I hadn't done for a while. They truly are hulking beasts.
@@stephendavies6949 indeed but I saw a pair today really claggy

Quite a colourful train Les top man great footage 👍
Many thanks!
Great filming Mr Gilpin. The 68 line cleaner was fair smokies compared to West Coast 37 's
I thought it was a 37 when I first saw it! Thanks!
Wow, a lot of Avantis today! You also caught a lot of in-outs in tandem today, very cool! You may have to ask the 37s what you have done that they are avoiding you. lol ^8s and others seemed fine with you. lol
Thanks Anthony - more why wasn't I prepared to run with my foot being unwell!
Very nice! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
Class 37's are now getting harder to find, at least you were able to capture a shot of them from P4
Carlisle can be frustrating at times as they change platforms at the last minute.
Thanks for another great video.
The 37s keep appearing now and then. Dithering prevented better shots.
Bom dia lelie excelente video amei show afoto vídeo
Thanks!
Fantastic video @LeslieGilpinRailways just a shame about those class 37s were on the other platform
Thanks. Yea sods law I woudnt have been abe to make it across as there was no guarantee how long the locos would be held, certainly once the crew change had happened. They moved it to the loops at Upperby to wait.
