- The Cartune Company (2003) Ltd in New Zealand does 1uz and 3uz conversions / parts and wiring. We have been working on UZ Toyota V8 engines since 2004 when we did our own Hiace van to transport dirtbikes around NZ. Since then we have swapped to doing mainly just Lexus V8 work from a family owned farm hidden away in our paradise , surrounded by the NZ native bush. Kelvin, is there enough "meat" in the block to sleeve a cylinder? Or is the price prohibitive to do that?
We have sleeved a few over the years but these days we generally look for another block. Our stuffed ones go off to race engine builders who bore them a bit and fit custom over sized pistons so nothing goes to waste.
Hey mate, so how come cylinder 1 had the issue every time on those engines that had the supercharger etc swapped each time? What do you think the cause was? Cheers.

It was done about 12 years ago by a mate of mine and there was a second one around too so sorry you arent the first
