- There are four seats available for Sandusky city commission. The candidates include:
• Richard Koonce
• Jeff Krabill
• Lisa Maczuga
• Mike Meinzer, incumbent
• Helen Thompson
• Kate Vargo
• Dave Waddington, incumbent
• Susan Zeier
No on the rec center and yes on housing and parking issues. New job opportunities not in the service industry ideas?
When I moved here in 2019 they told me the house next door was condemned and would be torn down before I moved in. Meanwhile that eyesore is still there and when I called the city about it they came and tried to cite me for not having my kayak on concrete blocks. I haven’t been able to fully enjoy my property at all, but I pay my taxes every year. Now my other neighbor’s fence is laying in my yard. Neither house is owned by a resident. Which one of you will not be a jerk toward homeowners who live here instead of favoring landlords who are letting their properties fall apart?
It seems like several candidates are putting the cart before the horse. Vote NO on rec center levy Issue 14, until it is clear WHAT the plans are and what we get for the money spent. Build it and figure out how to pay for maintenance later is not a good formula for success. BUILD A POOL, it's what the people want.
