      What, in your opinion, is it's flaws? thx

      @@windsorrocks in fairness they have corrected alot of the teething issues now, the original version had charging issues which a new charge strip was created and a modified control board.
      The rail can be creaky and abit clicky
      The new seatbelt with the safety switch built in is an absolute nightmare
      If you don't plug the belt in the lift won't go,
      And the belt is really difficult to plug in

    Hi, where do you fit the clamp when installing the motor unit on the rail? The video skips over this step at 12:16. Thanks in advance.

      The clamp fits at the base of the power pack. Is there a reason you're asking? Are you installing a stairlift yourself?
      If you do it wrong, the tension will surprise you. If you need some help, why don't you call!

      @@advantagehomehealthsolutions Hi, thanks for the rapid response. I've bought a used Handicare 1100 and I'm removing it on Monday. I've been looking at installation videos and there's passing references to a clamp being needed to engage the motor unit on to the rail but no specific information on how it's done. I'd rather I had some relevant info instead of going at it in trial and error mode and ending up breaking something. I've got a background in mechanics working on heavy earthmoving plant and car engine repairs. I'm located in Scotland so I won't be calling Canada!😊 EDIT: Hi thanks for the tip. I dismantled the stairlift in 2 and a bit hours.

      We don't know of an online version that's available. You could contact the manufacturer on their website here: handicare-stairlifts.com/stairlifts/straight-stairlifts/1100/

    The method of fitting the motor unit to the rail would be a big help but nobody shows it ?.

    Hi I have a question about the remote programming, is there somewhere on the motor where you can adjust or change the remote settings to avoid two chairs close by going up at the same time. The switches under the red rubber bung on remote are easy to locate.

    • @chairliftpro
      @chairliftpro Рік тому

      Yes. It is . There is a plastic piece on the back of the remote like a circle. You have to change the dip switches and disconnect the lift. Press and hold up

      Through a process of elimination, by changing this, you could determine what the IR setting is by changing the dip switches on the remote until you hit on it. There's only four choices because there are only two switches (on/off), in binary it is 00, 01, 10, or 11. However, when we do installations, we change it at the board level. And that depends on the power pack product that we're installing.

    It would have been helpful if you had showed how the batteries go in.
