IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!!

Drifting cutbiat on slip floats down the St. John's river with the boys. A rather short video but I had to release it! This was a long grind and I'm glad its finally over! gar fishing aint easy, it can be really brutal for both the anger and the fish. Luckily were both hardy animals. I hope you enjoy(ed) the video!

I tried for them a few times in North Carolina. The first time I had one on and reeled in but I was on a pier and only had 6 lb test on. I tried to flip it and the line snapped. I was with a friend. I should have jumped in the water and got my friend to take a pic of me with it. Was probably about 3 feet long. This was about 3 and half years ago I think. Still haunts me.
