- The United Nations says new fighting in Ethiopia's northern region of Tigray is forcing more civilians to flee to neighbouring Sudan.
Once over the border, they stay near the frontier, hoping fighting will die down soon and allow them to return home.
Al Jazeera's Mohamed Vall reports from Hamdayet near the Sudan-Ethiopia border.

It is strange to hear the ethiopian prime minister's speech to his Parliament stating that the Tigrinya refugees in Sudan are only Young men, not women and children.
It is more likely that the crisis is based on ethnic based political gain.Sources indicate that after the ethiopian forces conquered the western Tigray district, they erected a sign board with wrings on it "Welcome to Amhara region Administration " and so on. This means the Tigrinya peoples who used to live there will not be accepted as Tigriya residents, but if only deny their identity and describe themselves as Amhara ethnic groups.

It is very sad that the 2019 noble peace prize laureate is committing war crime agains peaceful peoples of Tigray. He wage heavy full scale war just to catch his political rivals who used to be part of his party. Besides his army, he invited dictator Isayas’s army & UAE to carpet bombing civilians, towns, mothers, & children. This shouldn’t be ignored as Ruwanda’s of 1994. UN should bring him to ICC at the Hague. Horn of Africa needs attention, lot’s of pains and suffering happened because internationally communities were silent deliberately on responding to the letters previously sent by the legitimate TPLF leadership in Tigray.
