    Sid gets a bad rap for messing up promos and talked about like he's stupid but he's actually quite eloquent and smart. Seems like a good guy

    • @zemmons5000
      @zemmons5000 4 роки тому +14

      @Cognitive Chaos when I saw that I felt so bad for the guy. That was one of the worst breaks I've ever seen. It pretty much killed his career bc he never really wrestled on full or even part time basis after that. I also like how he did seem to care about the business but never let it rule his life, he had other interests like softball and his family and wasn't afraid to step away to do what he wanted

      One of the nicest guys! Everytime he would come into Tampa for a show. He would workout where I worked at. Signed autographs and would chat if he had the time!

      The internet fans showed their own stupidity desperate for reactions but if they thought about it, Sid made perfect sense because he would have half the brains Nash has taking them all on, on his own.

    Let me tell you what kind of guy Sid really is. Back in 2000, my younger brother (who was a HUGE WCW fan) was in the hospital with cancer. He was 11. They didn't know how long he had, but the outlook wasn't good. We tried to keep the reality from him, but he saw through us. Knowing he didn't have long, we were hoping to get a wrestler to visit him in the hospital. Of everyone we tried to get to come out, Sid was the only one that was willing. He drove about 40 miles to the hospital. When he got there, he was awesome. But he was also very shy and not sure what to do. He whispered to me "does he know who I am? has he seen any of my matches? Im not sure what to do" and I told him "just do the usual Sid stuff and he'll love it!"...So Sid yelled at him, and grabbed him by the throat and ripped him off the hospital bed and chokeslammed him down onto the bed, breaking it in half. My brother died of internal bleeding about an hour later. A good, clean death, a much better way to go in my opinion.

    Of course they treated you well Sid. I mean look in the mirror man! Sid was a beast personified back in the day, and as Cornette said "nobody looked like Sid. 😄 The best video clip out there to really grasp how big and intimidating Sid looked, just search "Sid special referee" here on UA-cam where he is introduced to Slaughter, Iron Sheik, and Col Mustafa by Gene Okerlund and he's standing next to the 4 of them. The clip is 1min 42 seconds.
    Could you imagine if Sid was a legit shooter and a fighter back in the day?
