Jim Lee, Stan Lee, Bob Kane are legends in the comics world I would love to own a original Jim Lee piece. After losing my collectables in the floods a year ago I have nothing left but memories. Jim if you read these messages from this channel I'd appreciate if you could get ahold of me and donate a beautiful drawing only you can do. I'd appreciate it so much. I'm also a illustrator and artist I've been drawing, painting, and illustrating for 35 years but in my little hometown there's not a big use for artists like us, I've done private jobs like children rooms designs where I did murals of sesame street characters and Barney, I've also while I was in primary school helped teach my school's art class but that's about it. I was excepted into Georgia Art School but couldn't afford to go. I've written a Batman movie called Batman Gotham in Crisis, it's dark and starts from the beginning of young Bruce Wayne. I found out today that my health is deteriorating and I will be wheel chair bound and paralyzed from the neck down. And my family is trying to get help to rebuild our home because the flood's destroyed it and FEMA refuses to help even though the President and our governor declared our area a state of emergency, so far nobody has offered to help us, I suffer from PTSD and depression and I break down because it feels like it's hopeless and help isn't ever gonna come. I've tried everything from go fund me to making my own charity asking for help but nothing ever came through. I'm at the end of my rope and it's getting worse. Someone please help us I beg you.

Being used to do everything digitally now, there's no "Undo" button with using a brush. Makes you appreciate JL more. Tremendous talent.

Another thing i forgot to mention you schould always allow the black ink to dry overnight until you draw your white thin lines on top of it with very small details.

wearing a mask isn't a big deal to some... however, I wonder if those who say that ever had to wear one for 8 to 10 hrs a day, 5-6 days a week, with no end in sight. not to mention, have some kind of condition that already has your body temp constantly up a couple degrees. working in a warehouse without AC. its not just a minor inconvenience at that point. it's hard to focus on your job, and it starts to be detrimental to your work. I'm not saying everyone is in that particular situation, but there are way more than the lucky ones think. that being said, I love your work Jim. always have.

Hands down my favorite comic artist of all time, but Hoooooly that mask discussion did not age well.
Not bad. I would have just put a slight shadow on the face to differentiate from the plane transitions on the side of his head.
And I aways thought that Scott Williams always inked his artwork. I've been inking comics for 7 years. An inker starts at the bottom left hand corner of the page. His mistake was putting all that black ink at the very top of the page. Next he inks the right side of the page. I don't do that so that i don't smear the ink all over the page. Also so that i don't get all over my hand. Another tip for Jim Lee tape a gaint piece of poster board on your drawing desk so that you don't get globs of ink all over it. I buy different colors of poster board at the dollar store that i tape to my drawing table. Next i clip my white bristol board on to my drawing table and i use a small piece of yellow tape to hold the bottom of the bristiol board. I would have inked the top of the page
I would ink the top of the page last. And remember to turn the page upside down when you're inking the top of the page.
