On 14jun2018, i went walking around chinatown and came across a collectible shop in a building i had forgotten which building it was.. until today when i watched this video. That was the man, with alot of yesteryears items that were very fascinating to look at, some very familiar to me. I rem he mentioned mediacorp goes to him to borrow stuff, and that he was some kind of military officer when he was young, there were many photos of him in the shop. He was very friendly and doesnt make u feel u hv to buy anything. Thank you for this trip, now i know that building i went to was fook hai. I only remember it was slightly dimly lit, has random 2 step stairs and there would be a shop at random corner on its own, the layout is unique that it is not all in a row.
Went to the Vietnamese restaurant, ordered the iced coffee and chicken supreme pho. Both good. Added the recommended condiments and veg to the soup, so comfort food on a rainy day. I was there on rainy day, shiok!
