- HongisBored so he jio Jiejie go Chinatown jalan jalan. Surprisingly they found a really good Vietnamese food stall with crazy-good kopi & delicious pho. We also found a shop specializing in Singapore antiques & an old shop selling barber equipment.
阿鸿闷了，约姐姐去牛车水走走。意外发现了很棒的越南饮食，也喝到了五星好评的冰咖啡。另外，探索了一家专卖新加坡古董的收藏家，喝接近60年历史的理发用具店。

Went to the Vietnamese restaurant, ordered the iced coffee and chicken supreme pho. Both good. Added the recommended condiments and veg to the soup, so comfort food on a rainy day. I was there on rainy day, shiok!

Ya as a viet coffee lover, I think it’s superb to me
I once sold vintage toys n new board games at China Square (across South Bridge Road) for a couple of weekends cos my friend needed a last minute backup for someone who couldn't operate his booth, that was more than a decade ago. Years later I learnt that the China Square weekend flea market was discontinued (sadly) but I didn't know that the vendors have actually moved over to Fook Hai building n continued with their business aka hobby. It was fun being a vendor during that time cos I can waked around to look at others' wares n chat with some of them. I'm a big toy lover cum mini-collector. I will bundle a trip to visit the White Rabbit candy shop at Hong Lim Complex with this Fook Hai weekend flea one of these weekends to take a look. Thanks for all the recommendations.

On 14jun2018, i went walking around chinatown and came across a collectible shop in a building i had forgotten which building it was.. until today when i watched this video. That was the man, with alot of yesteryears items that were very fascinating to look at, some very familiar to me. I rem he mentioned mediacorp goes to him to borrow stuff, and that he was some kind of military officer when he was young, there were many photos of him in the shop. He was very friendly and doesnt make u feel u hv to buy anything. Thank you for this trip, now i know that building i went to was fook hai. I only remember it was slightly dimly lit, has random 2 step stairs and there would be a shop at random corner on its own, the layout is unique that it is not all in a row.
