I really really enjoy this particular episode cos I grew up in that area. One of the lasting memories is going there to photocopy tons of material! Before copyright laws were enforced! Yup, I can get dizzy going round the shops. Thanks for this video. You sound v genuine, funny and down to earth- and don't give off that vibe of trying too hard to please. I spent my student times at the shops selling football shirts & photocopy/lamination shops. Especially Weston Corp now. There is a new toy collectible shop in the mall too.

The WTM at the kopithiam after Fall Factor (towards AIA building) is also very good. The area opposite Queensway has a lot of good food.
Actually true. I love all the food at Alexandra Village, and the 香港街 Kopitiam also! To be honest, the food is much better across the street. Thanks for mentioning that 🤡

Best shopping centre in Singapore. It’s where I used to buy sports shoes, racquets, jeans, spectacles and also photocopy textbooks. After shopping can go to the hawker centre opposite to have dumplings and avocado shake.

i just passed by there today, hope you can come along queenstown more often to introduce more shops, there is a beer shop with alot of draft beer beside fall factor, and a granny kueh shop nearby. I havent try yet, if nice let you know.
Granny kueh shop is ok. But I prefer poh cheu, which is at the coffee shop behind :)

Queensway Shopping Centre in the 80s to early 2000, used to sell a lot of sports goods like shoes, jerseys, balls etc. Also, the photocopy shops upstairs did a lot of photocopying of academic books, and there were quite a few spectacle shops. Are they still there?

Laksa: Roxy Square run by brother (I think younger), Queensway run by sister (I think elder). They are siblings. This auntie also sell curry chicken n is pretty yummy too!

@@HongisBoredU are too humble, I think u can eat both lor! Anyway, are those big photocopy shops at the uppermost floor still there? Many undergrads went there to bind their FYP reports n print lecture notes during my time.

@@HongisBored there are 3 coffeeshops, 1 famous hawker centre, the food alone is alot to recommend, 2 storeys of shops like hair salons, kim zhua tiam, old fashion goldsmith shops, old toys shop, mr diy, old school ngoh kim tiam, there are 2 electrical repair shops, 3 to 4 锅碗条湓 shop, and old school malay barbershops, massage shop (clean one).
