No one else in the world can get away with 5 mins of noise , but sonic youth is punk rock/grunge royalty and I carry a card. Kim's voice and phrasing is the only thing that can tame the chaos demons of feedback run amok when this train starts rolling , the combination of her voice and the layers of sound brings into balance a new form of love song , one of grit , blood and passion. It's the tragic love making that happens as the world is ending.

What a beautiful song. Sonic Youth are so talented at evoking emotions and memories just from their sound and vibe. I love all genres from all decades but very few artists get me as emotional as SY.
I'm high in my college dorm room right now hearing to this song for the first time. I really like it.

Kim Gordon holds this entire place enraptured... It's a very unique style. Only this combination of musicians can pull this off. She is soulful and raw. Far more elegant then some pop-tart thru an auto-tuner.

I'm sure it wasn't a coincidence that all the lighting is blue with a yellow one spotlighting Kims golden hair: "golden blue"

on the music. the intro could be interesting, but interesting sounds need something to become interesting music, one needs to have an idea on what to do with them and here they use them only to make "noise" as an introduction to a pop song that hasn't any relaction with those sounds. this is the cheapest thing one can do with those sounds, ruins them and imply thah the musicians don't think that those sounds can be used to do music. they intend those sounds as noises, as something disturbing, while "the music" begins with the song.
I found it only stupid.

@@some_roman music isn't autobiography. art isn't autobiography. all of us do born, divorce, suffer and die. it's not a matter of simplicity vs complexity. the song is uninteresting and ruins what they build up in the introduction making sounding it just as noise.
