  • Hitting ground balls is a common problem for baseball players at all levels of the game. It can be frustrating for players when they are unable to get the ball off the ground and into the air. In this video, I will share with you several reasons why you may be hitting ground balls as a baseball player, and offer tips and techniques to help you overcome this issue.
One of the most common reasons for hitting ground balls is poor technique. This can include issues with your grip, stance, or swing. It is important to work with a coach or instructor to ensure that your technique is correct, and to make any necessary adjustments. Another common reason for hitting ground balls is a lack of strength and power in your swing. Building up your upper body and core strength can help you generate more power and lift the ball into the air.
Another reason for hitting ground balls is a lack of confidence. If you are unsure of yourself or your abilities, it can be difficult to take a full, powerful swing. It is important to work on building your confidence and focus on the positive aspects of your game. Additionally, hitting ground balls can also be caused by a lack of focus, if you are not fully paying attention to the ball, you may miss the timing of the pitch and hit the ground.
In order to overcome these problems, it is important to work on your technique, strength, confidence, and focus. Practice regularly and make adjustments as necessary. It's also crucial to have a positive attitude and believe in yourself. Remember that hitting ground balls is a common problem for baseball players, and with the right approach and mindset, you can overcome it.

It's a great video of Mookie's swing. He is so nicely connected with his left bicep and left pec.

This is Carter OSteen commenting on his mom’s account. Sometimes I feel like I’m on time and I see the ball but I simply don’t hit it. I thought maybe I’m trying to kill the ball. Maybe I’m swinging around the ball, I get that because I just switched from a 29 inch bat to a 32 inch bat and its a LOT heavier. Any tips for being short and quick to the ball? Also I crush the ball in BP but I have a hard time hitting live pitching in a game. Thanks man, keep up the good work.

Can you please evaluate my sons hitting. He looks like he is doing what is in your video but he keeps hitting grounders. I can send a video today from his game last night. This has been an issue for years and no one has been able to fix it.
