Hi good choice Sab Bartolo to rest and chill out, to escape the noise and bustle of Lima, I also go with my family, from there you can walk to posh Santa María and Embajadores (Ambassadors) next door to the south….maybe one day you’ll come back….summers are much happier in the coast ….winters are gloomy. Nice video !
Good video, I'm an Expat myself (Peruvian American), I've been to Trujillo (the North) which is where I was Born and it's definitely Cheaper than in Metropolitan Lima (but Lima is still cheaper than most Major US Cities). And as fas the questions about safety that I'm seeing on some of the other comments, it's actually safer here than in some Cities in the US. Like Baltimore, Detroit and Chicago which all have higher homocide rates than Lima.
@@MrSunturion That's cool, yeah there are definitely safer parts outside Lima but we didn't have any problems while staying in Lima either. Thanks for watching!
@@HighVibesTravel Pretty affordable, they make wine in Peru and Chile and Argentina so a good bottle could be as cheap as 10 usd Cheap wine for like 5 USD. The bottles in the video are returnable and with the bottle return it's less than 5$ for two liters.
@@Ashbash75 In our experience, the food was a little cheaper in Ecuador actually. But it is a small difference. The countries are pretty similarly priced.
@@theinfinitelivingproject7352 That's Interesting and good to know thanks ! With the recent surge in crime in Ecuador would you say it feels any safer in Peru in general or about the same ?
@@Ashbash75 Its been about a year and a half since we have been in Ecuador. But yes we would say similar safety. Stay aware of your surroundings in both countries and keep your items on you. Especially for busses or crowded areas.
@@theinfinitelivingproject7352 I lived in Ecuador near Quito some years back so know only too well the risks involved on using public transport and walking on the streets. Fortunately I've been able to avoid being a victim of crime there although came close a couple of times to scams.
I was planning to move, but Then I realized that is better just to visit, scary some places, At night there's no safety, reminds me of Tijuana Mexico 👌🇪🇨🇺🇸👏
Yeah, we didn't have any problems during our stay beyond petty theft. But we also don't usually go out at night. Safety is defintely something to consider.
Lived in Mexico for 2 years and travelled all over Mexico and never felt UNSAFE. Stop listening to the news and if you notice how dangerous Chicago and the USA is these days
Yeah right! I think you’re talking about ECUADOR as being like Tijuana… Ecuador is now known as THE most dangerous country in Latin America… so I’m pretty sure you mistook it for your country. Peru is actually one of the safest you can live in Latin America alongside Uruguay, Chile, and Argentina.

Can you do an extensive film in a Wong Supermarket. My wife and I are moving to Lima shortly so this would be an eye opener for us. Thanks.
@@zyzor9287 We will not be in Lima again during this stay in Peru. But most of the supermarkets in Lima are quite nice.
Can you tell the price of beers and wines ? Thanks

What is the monthly cost of food for two people?
@@carmenprado5320 Good question! I can refer you to our Cost of Living Peru video!
After living in Ecuador would you say the food prices were cheaper in Peru?

Interesting film, but please learn to keep your camera steady and not move it around too quickly.
