so confidently was I wrong about BBS, WKND is PS Stix, first non-BBS deck I’ve had in 2 years, skates great.

Your Quasi decks have probably been PS Stix... Some of their shapes are BBS like their twin tails, but most are PS.

Ps sticks feels like a real skateboard to me. But its preference because I didnt realize till recently all the brands I skated growing up Ps sticks made.

After i peel the paper off my grip i hit the sticky side with my heat gun. Make the grip more flexable and it sticks like crazy to my board. For any of you who live in, and or grip your boards in colder climates and notice bubbles or peeling tbe heatgun tricks prevents that completely.

I wanted to try thunders because of how light they are and how good the turning is, but they’re pretty short compared to Indy’s and I always get wheelbite cause I’m fat 😂 But maybe I’ll get risers and try em one day

Idk if you ever rode it but your next setup you should try pepper grip. It's like right in the middle of mob and Jessup. It's that perfect grip that won't eat your shoes in a week but still feels super nice when flicking

Hey Matt: My 11yr old is a beginner with 6 months experience. He has been using chocolate 8.25 ricta 92d wheels and royal trucks. He asked for a new setup for xmas and I bought this:
Quasi 8.0 fast car 2 deck
    Independent Silver Stake 11 139s
    G3 Bronson Bearings
    Spitfire 54mm formula 4s
    1/8 Independent risers
My question; did I do well buying the risers ?

    • @chhris1902
      @chhris1902 4 місяці тому

Risers might make the board too tall since Indy’s are relatively tall trucks but he might like the feel of a really tall board so you can add them or take them off depending on how he feels. You might also need to get longer hardware of your hardware is too short to fit the risers

I think royals are better than aces for ledges.. I had a set of gold aces for a few months wasnt even down to the king pin yet an I hit a ledge an caught on the smooth waxy ledge an it CRACKED have no idea how I thought I hit a chip on the ledge or something but it was still smooth but the truck was cracked 😂 I put on my old back up royals that's damn near the king pin hit the ledge saucy.. I only ride Indys or royals now days everytime I try something new it goes bad like with the aces 😅

You are part of that 2% crew(in your way).
Don’t jump into the boring dark side.
It takes time but it shows its teeth one day when you’re much older.
    Some need that journey…
    My advice:
    Do you first, always.
I heard GF and full time and threw up in my mouth a little.
My experience and the most or all I’ve witness…. A real bummer but also teachable moments.

I run Thunder 148s with thin (forgot measurements) risers, I was getting hella wheel bite especially since I ride looser trucks and roll on OJ key frame Plain Jane wheels.
I think ima stick with Shake Junt grip, mob ruins my shoes and my fingers too fast.
I ride mainly for filming and skating transition, just started getting into street skating so ima need to get some harder wheels.
    What wheels should I get?
