    I am always excited to see S30 Z's. I have a 76. I really want that ABS system. I have sequential fuel and spark and no cam sensor. Using only a crank sensor. I have a hall sensor that runs off of the oil pump mounted where the distributor used to be. It's made by Tim (Great guy) at one six industries. I'm using a Haltech Elite 750. I wish I had Z guys near me to collaborate with. That's a beautiful car you have. Take care of her😍

    I was thinking instead of the reluctor rings, if the rotors are vented, turn the inside to be concentric and use an inverted pickup. I have a customer with 3 Z cars we are restoring. I think he will like this video.

    The E46 M3 ABS module is very pricey, the Bosch motorsport ABS system is very similar but configurable.

      Yes, they are night and day in configurability terms, you can adjust the Bosch unit on the fly too. I don't think anyone will claim they are equals.
      While the BMW based option is a bit more expensive now that it has become more popular, comparatively it is still cheaper, and while you get what you pay for it is understandable when compared to no ABS due to being priced out of a top-tier product like a Bosch unit, it is still an amazing upgrade to a car like this 😎
      We are actually fitting a Bosch unit to our SR86 for next season. Should be an update on it soon and we have fitted the other option to Andres FJ40 project (just a street build, not a race car) however the Bosch unit will be up and running before we have finished the 40 series - Taz.

    Some times i think just coz we have tec to move it forward maybe its good to hold fire & use what works, as the owner kept saying its very reliable.. if she gose & runs nice no need to drip her in tec that u need bill gates to set up. Interesting vid mate. Many thanks frm the UK 😎😎✌✌👌👌👍👍

    Adding EFI to a ‘non kitted’ motor is tough to do

      It's not really hard on L series engine. Nissan made the L24 carburated but the later version, the L28 used a EFI set-up. You just need an ITB kit or an EFI intake, an EFI harness, a ecu and a crank angle sensor or cam sensor. I've done it on my 280z, converted it to ITB and it was a simple process. Especially since the parts to make it work are all already available to purchase.😊

    Interesting to stick with such an old ecu when megasquirts are pretty cheap and much more powerful. Let alone other units.

      I could be wrong, but I'd say it's been in there a while now and has given no reason to see it replaced with something else for the sake of it.
      There are certainly more featured (and better supported if you are not tuning yourself) options out there now if you were to build this today though, and at great price points too - Taz.

    Young fella needs to do a lot more interviewing and build up some experience on keeping the conversation flowing - it's fairly painful to listen to ATM, but keep working on it.
