I was just as nervous as her and failing both my mock tests (9 minors and 1 or 2 serious faults). Passed first time with 3 minors but honestly, to anyone still learning and hoping to pass their test - the hard part is NOT the test. The hard part is after you pass, when you're on your own 🤢🤢🤢 . So take your time with lessons, it's not a race!
Well done for passing! I feel anxious when I drive by myself! Just remember everything you have learnt and you should be safe, and don't take opportunities you wouldn't normally take.
Thank you sooo much Jackie! I have the same challenges. After my mock test this week, full of faults, my instructor said the same thing: forward planning. Hope you passed but if not you'll succeed next time 🏁🏁🏁
Good luck on your test, I was mega nervous but did pass and had such a friendly examiner who was happy to chat and joke during my test and that helped me loads. Examiner said they all love commentary driving as helps them see what you are seeing, planning etc.. I’m now having some confidence issues driving on my own but a friends helping me and I know I’ll get there and if I get really stuck I’ll ask my instructor for more lessons in my car.
Love how shes explaining her thoughts as well. Gives us an idea of the mind of a learner doing their test. Passed 5 months ago, still nervous when driving. Had my first scratching another car when parking on my horrible street. Didn't help my confidence, went out 2 days after and drove fine but was questioning everything. These videos really help with nerves when driving, even when the topic isn't about nerves. Keep it up.
Im nervous and feel stupid for having so many lessons my last test was 18 months ago i moved back down south where i was brought up and not had much luck with driving instructors as last one took me to the wrong test centre I said it was wrong one and got to correct one to late, was so upset. Been having more lessons since and started going out in my partners car aswell, made a mistake got in wrong lane at the roundabout left instead of right but we couldn't go left as it was the motor way so had to get out of a tricky situation, but my partner said we are going back there again to do it right 😅
First time watching this francis big respect to jackie i know where she's coming from i have had them same nerves on lessons and still do at times and yes take your time
I'm sure with practice she'll definitely pass! Perhaps using a sat nav too. But it's always better to make the mistakes now in the mock test rather than the real one 👍 good luck 🤞 for your real exam Jackie you have definitely got this
with my anxiety near test i did the same, i did extra 15-20 hours in last few weeks. and my test should been classed as extended driving test like what you do if you get banned and need to re take test mine was 55 mins, so the extra hours for sure helped, as i was ready way before and had skill just my nerves so as i was ready we went to places id tend to avoid or shown dislike previous lessons, much more harder hill starts, right angle left turn from a 70 road where to do it safe you have to manage the traffic behind you so you can be at safe speed to exit as it was 15 mph junction so sharp so very early braking warning others in plenty time. but the extra lessons and last week i book every free slot i could, only issue he had with me is non eco driving, still not eco driver prob never will be i like engine sound no matter what it is so very rare i have radio on, the extra lessons turned in to more advanced stuff preparing for much more harder than test routes so try to tick all boxes on things you might have to deal with. sure helped keep nerves in check as time for test was one with car and a test what felt endless got back so late his other test been there 10 mins plus they standing outside all other tests were back out again, 55 mins 2 minors pass first time, purely for my anxiety / nerves with a extra long test so glad i decided to do much more before, as i been really pushed in much harder than test conditions much more stressful situations made it much more easy to bring the stress back down during test as dealt with far worse
Wow she’s from Brockley ! Love Brockley it’s so nice. I was super nervous as well my first test, I would say her car is working against her, a punto is a very difficult car to drive. I failed my first in Bromley with 2 serious, one because I was going too slow and another for not checking my mirrors when changing lanes. After that I started driving my car as well as my instructor’s, she had a Micra and I have a Polo, the Polo taught me to drive 100%, it’s amazing the difference a car makes to build confidence. I passed second time with 2 minors, one for a stall because my instructor’s car because it had an engine issue (yes, she told me the day before the exam the car had mechanical issues) and another for a restriction on those poles you need to drive in the middle (no clue what those are called 😂) and I was a little close to one of the poles but I would say driving a car that builds your confidence is crucial
Oh wow congrats on passing in spite of all the mechanical issues with your instructors car! And yes Brockley is lovely. Brockley barge especially lol 😂
Francis I like your funny videos they take the stress out of getting ready for your test, but I have to say I am liking this style of video so much more and I feel like I’m learning so much. Good luck to Jackie I failed my first test my nerves were off the charts but fingers crossed my next test is soonish lol and hopefully it goes well, your pizza slice 🍕 and forward bay park video has really improved my parking 😊
That’s awesome so glad you enjoyed this one! We’ve got more mock tests and lots of educational content scheduled to post in the coming weeks. Stay tuned! 😊
30:10 I think she did right, shouldn't just trust a signal but make sure they're actually going to turn into the road before you pull out of the junction
True. Especially with motorbikes and mopeds. But when you see a car indicate and slow down you’re just wasting everyone’s time when you’re sitting at the give way line still
Your talking is adding to your nerves, just talking quietly to yourself in relaxed manner and breath. If you are talking it needs to plain and simple you are complicating everything and adding extra stress for no reason
I think she’d moved early and quickly enough that the oncoming vehicles didn’t have to slow down. It’s definitely something to be careful of though when you’re pulling away from the wrong side of the road !
Hi Jackie you can talk out loud on your test like you did at the end with Francis believe me it helps and whilst you are doing this you forget about how nervous you are. Rescue remedy is good but eat a banana if you like them an hour before. I passed my test first time with 3 minors . I was as nervous as you but on my test day I talked through it and within 5 minutes forgot my nerves . Also look at the sat nav often you will see a turn coming up which enables you to plan for it . Never think you have failed I thought I had failed three times in my test and I had actually passed . If you go the wrong way don’t worry keep going and the sat nav will reroute you don’t try to change lanes at the last minute you can’t fail for going the wrong way as long as you do it safely. I went the wrong way and my examiner said we are not here to see your sense of direction but if you do the wrong way correctly he won’t fail you . Also that pull in on the right . Pull in as close as you can as you can sort it when you are there and always stop for cars that are coming . I hope this helps it did me good luck you have got this xxxxx
8:03 I think Dan has got it right with a fiat punto what % of new drivers buy a brand spanking new modern car with all the driving assists for there first car? My driving instructor still laughs when I go for the handbrake that it not there.
Good luck. Surprised you have done any lessons on a dual carriage in 5th up to 60mph. Driving at 20mph is throughout your lessons is not realistic. I will not take my test until i feel 100% confident otherwise my nerves will take over.

Excellent tip from Francis about planning ahead it gives you more time . The more time you create the more time you have to react
😊 exactly
I'm only a minute in to this video and I can already see that Jackie is an awesome person, I wish I was friends with her!!!
She is!! So lucky to have her as one of my best friends 😍 #notshowingoff 😅
Jackie!! Love love love your positive nature. You’re amazing. Iron out the creases and you’re going to be great 🫶🏼
I was sooo nervous, i was shaking the whole time but passed on friday with 2 minors, your videos really helped so thankyou 😊
Omg 2 minors is such an incredible result congraaaats 🎉🙌👏
Congratulations I passed on Friday too!!! I heard all the good drivers pass on Friday 😂😂
omg me too passed with only 3 minors on friday
@@KuroOnyt well done 👍 I had one minor 😀👍
Congratulations!

🤞🤞🤞
I'm a nervous person when driving just did my 12th lesson I'm starting to get a bit more confident my instructor can see my driving is getting better
Yaaay well done Sharon!! Hopefully it’s getting easier and you’re well in the swing of driving now 😊
Congratulations on feeling more confident and comfortable when driving 😊
@@fitnessfran thank you
@@picklestheswift thankyou
Good luck Jackie!! Best to get all the mistakes out the way on a mock test so you learn from them and don’t make them on the real thing
Love the positivity!!
Love how shes explaining her thoughts as well.

It’s so weird to see her so nervous cause in her recent videos she’s super confident!

30:19 I wonder if her instructor had actually suggested to not always trust an indicator, rather than the car indicating having priority.
I should hope so!😅
First time watching this francis big respect to jackie i know where she's coming from i have had them same nerves on lessons and still do at times and yes take your time
She's awesome. Hope she passes her test.
Have my test in Morden in 4 th of July and your videos help so much I’m so nervous as o only had 18 hours so 😂🤦🏽♀️
Omg only 18 hours 😮 Do you feel ready?
Wow I had 40 hours before my exam! Good luck 🤞
Feeling nervous is perfectly normal. The best thing to do is to except the nerves instead of fighting them
I'm sure with practice she'll definitely pass! Perhaps using a sat nav too. But it's always better to make the mistakes now in the mock test rather than the real one 👍 good luck 🤞 for your real exam Jackie you have definitely got this

5:46 When I was on my driving test I was trying to drive smoothly so I didn't take opportunities which I may have normally have taken
30:10 I think she did right, shouldn't just trust a signal but make sure they're actually going to turn into the road before you pull out of the junction
True. Especially with motorbikes and mopeds. But when you see a car indicate and slow down you’re just wasting everyone’s time when you’re sitting at the give way line still
I agree, I wouldn't always trust a signal
Quick question ? Does the examiner ask you to use the road signs for direction or he’s gonna tell you to use the waze or ?
1/5 driving tests follow road signs. 4/5 driving tests follow the tom tom satnav in this video
Your talking is adding to your nerves, just talking quietly to yourself in relaxed manner and breath. If you are talking it needs to plain and simple you are complicating everything and adding extra stress for no reason
28:41 would this not be impeading the flow of traffic?

Do you do mock tests for auto cars Francis? I have my test in a couple weeks time

Literally my favourite joke as well haha
Uk road and traffic planning are really garbage, and I live in a developing country.
Looks like they love roundabouts and hate speed bumps 😂
Fiat Punto.....all I'm saying is that it better than a Peugeot 😂
