I will still stick out a huge pole between me and believing in the Clips because of the things that could go wrong. God forbid we have another Kawhi or PG injury. But the way they are playing now is absolutely outstanding, and I hope we get to see this version of this team come playoffs. Big ups for Russ for coming off the 2nd unit. That's one heck of a decision coming from a former MVP.
I completely agree. Harden as a 3rd guy on a championship team may not be so bad but we already learned when he was in Houston he was never good enough to be the best player on a championship team so Harden for insurance during the regular season is fine, but if injuries happen again come playoff time yeah let the Clippers curse continue.
I think that having russ is good because if pg, harden or kawhi get injured they have russ as a back up so I think they are really gonna make it this szn
I agree with that although we already learned that out of the 4, Kawhi's the only one who's ever proven to be capable of being the best player on a championship team. Russ and Harden can keep the team afloat if Kawhi and/or PG get hurt but they're not winning a championship with either of them leading the way, especially at this stage of their careers.
He had Kawhi in the playoffs last year and sure Roco and Batum are nowhere near what Harden can still do offensively but Harden doesn't try nearly hard enough to be what they are defensively.
I love it 🔥 I honestly see them vs. Denver in the conference finals. Even if they don’t win the chip this year, making the WCF in 2021 and keeping this roster (at least Russ OR Harden) until they retire is an accomplishment 🤷🏾♂️💯
Making it to the WCF even after Kawhi tore his ACL was definitely an accomplishment. I totally agree there. What they have now though, I would want a championship so badly. At least right now from an outsider's perspective, I can see the vibes are great but let's see what happens in the playoffs.
The Clippers are 12th in defense this month and 15th since December 1. How is that on the verge of top 5? Now I think we all learned from the Nuggets last year not to use regular season defensive rating as an end all be all thing to decide if the team is built for a championship but just looking at the numbers, no the Clippers are not on the verge of top 5 and the eye test will say as much as James Harden helps their offense as a playmaker and a 3rd scoring option, he still is hurting their defense.
@showtimenick824 well if you're a real fan seeing every game, you would know that most of those games have been blowouts. By that time the bench is already in finishing games, the defense will tend to drop without your best players. Defensive ratings doesn't say everything about each game.
@@chrisgomez8747 I know team defensive rating isn't end all be all and like I said, last year's Nuggets already taught me that. I'm not a Clippers fan at all and my hat in this video should've made that very clear but I do watch Clipper games and I do see how James Harden is benefiting the offense but also hurting the defense.
@showtimenick824 lol true, my comment came out wrong. I meant to say a fan in general, I can see you're a Lakers fan. Harden, yes, but he hasn't been that bad. He's actually holding his ground every now and then. He's been pretty good at getting his hands on the ball when the opposing team is trying to score a layup. I agree, clippers can be better defensively but the 12th spot doesn't really show it all
@@chrisgomez8747 Harden's always had good defensive fundamentals and that's why he's been good at getting deflections and has been able to use his strength to defend the post. It's really just an effort thing with him.
I can't say I'm not one of those people. I just couldn't get around to making a video on it. I did make The HARSH Truth About James Harden when he flat out quit in an elimination game against the Heat 2 years ago. I stand by saying he's overrated all-time because I value the playoffs and defense a lot. His Stans are almost if not as annoying and delusional as Bronsexuals. That said though, I can acknowledge that he's doing what he needs to do for the Clippers to be playing so well and I'll give him credit for that. Let's just see how things go in the playoffs now.
Are you kidding me? How did he not? "Don't expect anything crazy from us until Christmas." Yeah it may have been early in the season and it's a marathon not a sprint, that may be true but all the games count the same.
We'll see and if you're right, the James Harden trade will indeed look terrible for the Clippers. I don't think most people thought the Clippers would be a bad regular season team because of Harden but the playoffs is when we'll really know how good or bad of a trade this actually turned out to be.
In what way did I even imply that I'm a Clippers fan? My channel never was and never will be centered around one team. Just look at my channel. I've made hundreds of videos about teams I don't root for and players who never played for a team I root for. Where did I even remotely compare Russell Westbrook to LeBron? I only ever said they were a terrible fit which everyone knows. You're outta here, you don't need to be here and I don't want you here anyways. You're clearly not smart enough if you even thought for a second that I'm a Clippers fan or that I compared Russ to LeBron. Or if you're not an idiot, it makes me want to welcome you even less because I don't appreciate you putting words in my mouth.
SGA and Donovan Mitchell have more steals per game than Kawhi so I don't know how that's even remotely an argument. Right now, Rudy Gobert has the best odds.

@@showtimenick824 ngl as long as two of the group stay healthy the team should be fine last sxn issue was russ was fighting alone

It hasn't been elite defense but it's been on verge of top 5, I'll take it when offensively they been on a roll

Kawhi must be dependsive player of the year bcoz too much steal and blocks of kawhi period
