I have a lot of good luck with water sprite. It can float or be planted in substrate shrimp love it.
Really love all ur tanks so much colorful shrimps if i was doing that i will keep my cull just to see what happens .but really happy u share all this info in breeding mixes.
Love the deep red colour, great job!!
Thanks
Beautiful shrimp👍👌😍🙋
I wasn’t able to keep shrimp in my tap water at all. No matter if it was filtered or conditioned with prime. As soon as I switched to distilled and remineralized, the shrimp stopped dying.
Awesome
what was the gh and kh level of your tap water?
Yes 3/4kh 8/9gh
Very beautiful reds! 😍
Thanks!
Beautiful shrimp there buddy !
Thanks yo!
Whoa! They're beautiful and your tank looks amazing😍
By the way, is it okay to feed the shrimps a small piece of a spirulina tablet or algae wafer everyday?
I'm sure it would be ok as long as they were eating all of it
I bought re shrimp that were labeled as BM but I really can't tell the difference between cherry, painted and BMs. Is there a sure fire way to tell them apart?
Great video, I hope my movies will be as good as yours one day!
Well you have more shrimp than me that’s for sure 😂 Great video!
Thanks! Sorry to hear about the struggle. Hope you get it all sorted bro!
Are you still into shrimping? I'd love new videos from you
How's the temperature in the caridina tank? I've been reading that they die if the temps oscillate ..
My shrimp keep disappearing and all I see is a molt.. what's the deal ? These were my first
Can you make a video on what we need to do and setup we need if we intend to keep these kind of shrimp? And in asia countries where weather is very hot
I can and will yes
Amazing video ! Just wondering where you purchased these shrimp originally
Most all my shrimp came from a friend In the hobby. Lots have also came from just breeding new kinds
Since you danced around, I mean mentioned re-mineralization of RO water, but don't say anything further, I have to ask... What's, and tanks water parameters, TDS, gH, kH, pH, et al.? And what mineralization products did use? Thx. :)
Nathan, at 4:08 you talk about a baby neocaridina, can I ask roughly how long would that baby have been be at one week old?
As you can guess, I'm pretty new to shrimp and I love them, it's just getting to learn what I'm looking at in their tank that's the problem. I have a couple that I see in the tank that look exactly like the one at 4:08 in the video but I'm not sure if they're new babies or shrimp that I bought with the original 20 and haven't grown as much as the others.
I watch my shrimp a lot and usually all the babies grow at the same rate from a batch. I can tell now just about how old they are from size
You sure can breed Caridina in hard water, you just need patience and lots of tries. In Germany there are some breeders who breed Red Bees, Black Bees and Black shadows etc in hard water.
I feel some will and some won't. I'm still testing.
yea at the start there will be many deaths, but the surviving ones are the ones which will give offsprings to adapt to this water. I hope you succeed. Hard water makes the hobby easier.@@SooShrimpBreeders
Is it norman to keep neo with caridina in the same tank?
Whats the difference between these and cherry
Are you selling them?
sooshrimpbreeders.ca/ - I'm thinking of purchasing some Neocaridinas from him soon!
Have you/anyone try breeding bloody mary into fire red and cherry for a new different shade of red, or do they just revert to clear/wild type? And do you think "new neo color or new neo pattern/muti-color single shrimp" can still be bred, but people just perfer to keep neos in solid color and caridina in muti-color.
Bloody mary are sort of their own breed as cherry shrimp can be bred into fire and painted if worked on
If it's not to basic a question, can I ask how you tell the difference in the males and females?
Males are usually smaller....the abdomen region is usually larger in females
Hi Nathan. My sons and I are also in Canada in Toronto. I saw you got these bloody mary. Any chance to connect us with who you got yours from or if you have any we could get from you.

Do you sell your shrimp?
I see the big deal on the Bloody Mary shrimps
Have this ones for a month didnt saw any eggs they all look female to me xD
if you wanted to strt blue dreams why not buy from lrb and know the genetics are there from the start?
Not sure he can ship to Canada. I may look into just buying a nice strain. I just like to make things myself. What makes it fun for me
