John Deacon was said to be the first bassist to bring melody to the bass. John and Roger were so in sync with each other they were called the sonic volcano
I agree that John Deacon did not get the accolades he deserved. But with a band like Queen, led by Freddie Mercury, it was easy to be in the background. Freddie was the main attraction. Brian May was next for notoriety. But together, they were magical, and it all came together. That's what made Queen so spectacular . P.S. I love your comments, thank you .
I love how Brian moves across the stage to stand diagonally behind John and then Freddie joins them definitively putting John in the spotlight that he deserved. Gotta love Deacy
Thank you so much for mentioning John Deacon in this way. To me he is the most underrated Queen member. I think it could be caused by his shy and reluctend personality. So the are only a few Bass solos of him - maybe 4 or 5 on 15 studio albums of Queen. But nevertheless I became a hobby bass player because I wanted to be able to produce such wunderfull tones like him. To me he is the one who created the most catchy and fantastic basslines of all in rock and pop. A few examples: A Kind of Magic, Another one Bites The Dust, Under Pressure, Body Language and my favourite all time killer bass line (which works only with the right drums) Invisible Man. The more reactions I see from you, the more do I like them. Please go on that way and promise not to stop until you reacted to every single Queen song. If you didn't already perhaps continue with Invisible man? Anyway, thanks a lot.
Thank you for giving Deaky some love he never gets any I love Deaky an he never loses his beat bravo John we still love an miss ya 💯👑👑💞🌹🌹💥🤘✌️🇬🇧💋⚡🎆💥🎆🎆🎆🎈🎈
Must be the 4th or 5th time I've watched this reaction - just a fabulous afternoon escape. Love the attention given to Deaky, a huge favorite of mine. And see this number as a out of this world 'instrumental with Freddie Mercury the icing on the cake. Wonderful, wonderful Queen. Great reaction. So glad it's still here!❤
“Give it 2 me babee..!!” Is it illegal to be turned on by, Fred singing, John on bass, Bri on guitar and Rodger on drums…! I think ‘Dragon Attack’ should be up there with their greatest hits..!!! Hail Queen Fans ❤️❤️❤️
Such an amazing bass riff, John Deacon was Queen quiet member, and usually didn't like to be in the spotlight, but right here he shined like the star he was and still is. And he had a very strong friendship with Freddie who took him under his wing and protected him. And when Freddie died it was too painful for him to continue (it seems he said right after Freddie's death that there was no reason for Queen to continue because the soul of the band was gone, and no one could ever replace it. His phrase "It's like having a Ferrari in the garage but no one to drive it, there's no point"). He only stayed until the song "Only the good die young" was made and released. After that, he retired. John Deacon 💖💖💖
You mentioned the quality, this was filmed on 70mm film so it could be shown in theaters/IMAX. The movie toured in the US, and played music arenas 1981/1982. Pyrotechnics were included for the encore.
Yes you are a nice guy. Revisiting this one with you. Know I know why you always make sure to mention the bass, because you played it I've always said these guys just dont play the music they feel the music.
Nice reaction! If you really want to hear complex bass listen to Bring Back That Leroy Brown ua-cam.com/video/NRh-mn3Dnt8/v-deo.html or the Millionaire Waltz ua-cam.com/video/H-P0VznfK_E/v-deo.html. John was definitely the quiet member of Queen but he is often listed as one of the top 10 bass players of rock.
as for john deacon‘s bass playing you should listen to joe cocker‘s live-performance of his song „the letter“ at the prince‘s trust rock gala at the royal albert hall in london. brian may and john deacon are part of the all-star house band with phil collins at the drums that night. john deacon was amazing at this event: ua-cam.com/video/e8CefyvKcFY/v-deo.html

The whole band are multi talented that's why they work so great together they are all proud of each other.
Actually, Brian got lost there for a minute and he looked to John to get him back on track. John Deacon said this was his favorite Queen song to play.
Thanks sherry 👍I learn something new everyday in this group 💞Thanks 😊
Ayy. Now I understand why John was waving his hand (8:24)

Again and again.
This is one of MY favourite Queen songs. It showcases Deaky's fuckin fantastic talent. Now watch Brighton Rock for a showcase of May's talent.
All four at their best … GOAT !!!!
Slappin the bass!
SEXY, FUNKY, JAMMIN’, ABSOLUTELY FREAKING AWESOME! LOVE IT!
Love you appreciate Deaky!! You are fantastic at this! You are teaching me!! Thank you!!

Amen !
John comes down to Freddie, he knows Freddie needs to be close to his he bass and John is the best.
I could listen to this song over and over again. Love seeing your reaction again. Please react to Tie Your Mother Down live at Wembley 1986.

I've always loved Freddie's energy🎶but then I've always loved Freddie💖💕🎵🎶
Love this song it’s sassy & bass driven .... can’t help but find yourself “slinking along” with it. Great reaction! Whewwwww!!
One of my favourite songs from THE GAME album
Very funky
John Deacon and Ryan Martinie are fantastic bass players. They are fluid and are most likely child prodigies for sure!!!
This performance of this song and Grand Funk Live "inside looking out".
This is a great example of one man, Freddie, holding thousands of fans in the palm of his hand!
Dear, you "must" to react Play the game , live at Milton Keynes. Thanks for your Queen reactions! ❤️👑

Still love this reaction and you! Made me happy to watch this tonight. Tough times in Texas this week😢
Still my favorite reaction! Needed this tonight!
Loving all the uploads 👍
And the guitar work in this performance is on par with Jimmi Page at his best on The Ocean.
Brain wrote that. That's why there is full of guitar and bass competition
true

Some top bassist always said John needed a heavy bass
it was john entwhistle of the who, it's on 'the magic years' compilation, it was mostly tongue in cheek as he called deac's puny! 👑✊🇬🇧
hey dude, youre amazing.
He was looking at Freddie not john❤
Sorry
..I was thinking of Roger looking at Freddie. You were talking about Brian and John . ❤
