The level of concentration required to get through that song without a mistake is extreme. As a bass player/vocalist, I used to beat myself up with it all the time! Finding other players who play on that level ain't easy. George played bass and vocals, but the parts were recorded separately. I believe McCartney was on piano. Playing this tune live consistently is very difficult. Fabulous performance.
@@PC4USE1 George Harrison recorded the bass on this one. You can check the take #2, only 3 Beatles: John on piano, George on bass, Paul on drums. Ringo was away still filming the Magic Christian w Peter Sellers. They recorded the song that very same day
@@Solomongrundy68no, it’s George on piano, Paul on guitar and Ringo on drums. There’s a fill in there that’s exactly the same as Tell Me Why. It’s almost a fingerprint match.
I'm pretty floored that this Montagna dude plays the rollicking bass lines so perfect all while he doesn't miss a note singing! A great Beatles song done it's due justice here. The energy is as if it was totally fresh.
JESUS CHRIST!!!!I didnt think it was possible to sing and play that bass line at the same time!!My God this, cat KILLED IT!!!!Im so glad I checked it out!!!
At the bass line: In a 1987 interview for Creem magazine, Harrison recalled that he was the bass guitarist on the track, rather than McCartney. When the interviewer, J. Kordosh, suggested that the bass part "sounds like McCartney was going nuts again", Harrison replied: "That was me going nuts. I’m doing [on the bass] exactly what I do on the guitar."
i think so many if not all bands are somewhat jealous if how big the Beatles were..... These guys are great...many are..but they didnt change the entire world.....
Biggest fan of this song and George's fantastic solo in it. These guys did it justice. The two guitarists in unison was a little Thin Lizzyish. Splendid. But one thing. Who the hell are these guys. They're great!
Fantastic job guys . It’s come out recently that Paul played drums on this track rather than Ringo. Ringo was away filming magic Christian in April 1969.
great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! still amazed at how 4 geniuses, the LADS, got together, and weird, after 1970, the 4 never stepped foot in the same room again... strikes me ...odd.. but i get it??
この難しいベースを弾きながら、ボーカルは凄いですね😊

My absolutely favorite Harrison song, and Beatles.
Mine too.
One of the Best songs E V E R in music history!!!
No one can sing and play bass on that song ... only that dude .... Thumbs up for the bass player and the whole band
That’s because the song wasn’t done with a bass..it was a tracked lead guitar with the bass cranked to the moon. On a tele I want to say.
I bet Lemmy from Motorhead could ya stooge. When he was alive. Groupie
Paul McCartney could,if it was HIS song, that bass line is his and he can sing and play bass.

Reeaally well done. I bought the single when it came out. This song twisted my grey matter into new shapes, as George often did. Loved it.
JESUS CHRIST!!!!I didnt think it was possible to sing and play that bass line at the same time!!My God this, cat KILLED IT!!!!Im so glad I checked it out!!!
One of my favorite Beatle songs & performed perfectly by these guys.

Certainly one of the best beatles guitar solos.
This guy has just put a huge smile on my face! I can play it note for note but I couldn't sing it too!
Le "double solo" est super!!!
Not just incredible bass playing, to sing and perform it live shows a rare talent!
Even the Beatles didn't record the bass line live!
How do you think they recorded the bass line then? 🤔
@@normandavidtidiman9918 they did it as a separate baking track but not while also singing, and perhaps overdubs.
@@normandavidtidiman9918its very basic knowledge that most songs in the world have multiple layers recorded at different times and edited together
It became my favorite Beatles song the moment I heard it. Great version!!

Biggest fan of this song and George's fantastic solo in it. These guys did it justice. The two guitarists in unison was a little Thin Lizzyish. Splendid. But one thing. Who the hell are these guys. They're great!

Wish we could get a list of the other musicians in the band so we could look up their videos.
Fantastic job guys . It’s come out recently that Paul played drums on this track rather than Ringo. Ringo was away filming magic Christian in April 1969.
