Denser Than You Think - Science Experiment

  • Опубліковано 16 лис 2015
  • Simple density science experiment that you can try at home to see how liquids and objects with different densities behave. Using three fluids (syrup, water and oil) we can see they clearly have different densities, and form clear layers. By dropping items with different densities into the glass, we can see which fluids are denser than them.

Great experiment. A perfect combination of the two experiments I used earlier this week (objects that float or sink in water, and mixing oil and water!

Wow, this reminds me of the childrens science books I got when I was just a kid, I always loved looking at the pictures of different colored liquids of different densities. It was one of the first "scientific" experiments I did as a child, I think the second one was the weighted pen cap with an air bubble inside in a 2 liter bottle full of water that would float or sink depending on how hard you squeezed. Good memories. Also reminds me of the "I Spy" books too, I got one of those with that science book...

Dave, I'd just like to say something. Today at school we were doing science and everyone were bored so they were colouring in their timetables. As soon as our teacher turned this video on, everybody looked up from their timetables or books and that just shows how great your videos are!
