I'd love an answer. For the second bottle with the hole, it's incredible how the air rushes back in to fill the space in the bottle after he stops blowing. What that speed and is it a natural/average speed of air flow?
0:40 LOL! Great video Jared! I'm a 5th grade student and your videos help me so much thank you so much! (by the way my teacher plays your videos in class)
I had a good laugh watching the balloon in the bottle, fully blown, mouth left open yet the air doesn't come out. No amount of physics can prepare someone for an unholy sight like this :)

We tend to think that the balloon is stretchy and this is what causes air to rush out of it. Here it is proven that this is not the case. The baloon can remain inflated and with the mouth opened, if it is inside a bottle where there's less air pressure. What makes air rush out is the difference in pressure, not the mere fact that the balloon is made of latex. The latex wants to go back to the original form and this generates a pressure, but if equilibrium is reached, the baloon can sit just as fine while stretched and with its mouth wide open.
Great video. Can I correct you on something. You said when the balloon had water in it, that if you uncovered the hole air would rush in and push the water out. That's not technically correct. It's the elasticity of the balloon that forces the water out and its the balloon that causes air to be drawn into the void not the other way around.
Bro I have an question for its my honor if u plss answer this that what is the minimum thickness required for any object surface to prevent from collapse in vacuum state
