They really should go back here. St Pete is pretty close by so they’d probably want to go here later in the year to avoid south Florida redundancy. NASCAR won’t be racing here late in the year anymore, so maybe INDYCAR should move their series finale here in September or even as late as October 👀👀👀
One of the problem from the people who went there and some "experts" says that going there in that part of the year (September- October) is insane in therm of the temperature, too high, and that was one of the reason for fail the date and the future of this venue, plus, it's an ISC track, so the owners are more concerned to promote a Nascar race instead an IndyCar race, it's a shame because all, and if not all, almost , all the races from CART to IRL and then IndyCar , were fantastic, compared to the Nascar races.
Dr coloso I can’t wait till the NASCAR TV deals run out and the tracks lose a majority of the money they get now. That’s why they go so hard to promote NASCAR the most because they’re getting more money from the TV deals. Like IMS apparently gets $20 million a year for the Brickyard 400 just from the TV money. They’ll get humbled so bad when NASCARs new deal is significantly lower than the one that they have now and they’ll actually look to promote IndyCar races.
@@eliteflite8395 I hope so man!, because several venues who was in the schedule and show great races are not any longer in IndyCar , Chicagoland, Kentucky, Homestead, Michigan, Fontana, The Glen just for say a few, but, the promotion was so low than it was better to look other places instead to see how the people don't show up, and that was sad. But now the times are changing, now Nascar has this problem, in their tracks, so it's no brainier than the next contract will not be so lucrative.

@@IanTheMotorsportsMan_YT They would have to repave Homestead with new asphalt if they are to do that. The track surface is too worn out for the Indy cars.
@@thedirtybubble9613 hmmm…. At least when it was reconfigured to the way it is now back in 2003, there were some cars going 2 wide for IndyCar or NASCAR. @@IanTheMotorsportsMan_YT The track was reconfigured in 2003 and it still has the original asphalt from 2003. 19 years of track surface under the hot south Florida sun wears the track out and it's too abrasive and bumpy now for these cars. It's the same reason Indy didn't return to Fontana because the track surface was too abrasive. Nascar can run on it fine. Yeap I remember when there started side by side together sad to loose both .
The cars from this time period looked, sounded, and raced so good.

Indycar doesn't race in October anymore. The start of the NFL season kills the TV ratings.

Underrated time in Indycar. Cool cars, good racing, Bob Jenkins on commentary for the year. What’s not to like?
2009 had everything but good racing. That's why the 'overtake assist'/push-to-pass was introduced halfway through the season.
in 2021 Bob Jenkins and Robin Miller are gone
2006 Homestead Indy race was probably the best Indy race I seen in person.
Start of race 🏁8mins 44 secs. 🌴Miami, homestead speedway.👌NTT Indycar Series, thank you, keep these races coming.
I wish this race was on NBC sports and NBCSN
Comcast didn't own NBC during this Time, and NBCSN used to be known as Versus
NASCAR dose that before the end of 2024
@@aldouscoroza in 2021 NBCSN got shut down, so every sport events are on CNBC, MSNBC, USA Network, and NBC Sports
I really wish there is a road course race at Homestead Miami Speedway
or Miami Autodrome at Hard Rock
They used to have road course races at Homestead on the internal road course track for the Daytona Prototype and GT cars.
Great upload. Thanks Indycar.

I really love that Penske cars livery. It's remains me the McLaren of Senna and Prost
They are/were both sponsored by Marlboro so why is that surprising?
Homestead is soooo cool, why Indycar never more back to Miami??
Low promotion and the people don't show up, sad.
Hard Rock Stadium in Miami International Autodrome
Remember when this track was first built, so please the changed it, shame they don’t race there now though
