bro zomba really ragequit again and switched to link 💀 💀 💀 skittles is the goat for keeping his mentality strong and winning grands after losing two sets to zomba already this weekend, hats off to him!!!
I mean keep in mind Zomba is only 15 or 16. It’s easy for younger/newer players to just close their cool. Zomba used to main link and just was looking for an answer. Recently he’s been looking for a secondary he can use for match ups he’s not comfortable with/ when he’s not feeling Rob. It’s nice to see a young player get this far in a lot of tournaments. Hopefully he figures out the secondary he likes, I can see him greatly improving once he does.
It's tough for rob .Link can actually win the match up with the right stages.
I think its crazy zomba is that good at such a young age. He does let his emotions get the better of him, you clearly see he was frustrated

Well at least he can usually keep it together for at least a match or two. I wonder what would’ve happened if he had switched to Roy earlier. I think that was his best bet probably to handle young link.

Skittles usage of Zair is unlike any other Young Link proving it's actually an amazing tool for spacing and combos. On top of that, he had amazing usage of b reverses in disadvantage as well as always knowing when to fast fall when recovering to avoid the Zomba spikes. I need to study this set UP. Good shit to both players.
Edit: not to mention that ending was INCREDIBLY played and Skittles had to play 3 different MUs and win 2 sets to take this tourney. I'm thinking skittles might be best Yink now (along with toast ofc)

Skittles was playing amazing and I’m glad Zomba got frustrated and raged because of Rob being able to get a side b at any percent and kill and also there were times where skittles was recovering bad but Zomba didn’t do anything so ig it’s deserved
For someone whose strategy consists of 90% spam, Zomba sure does love to complain and rage.

Zomba needs to learn how to maintain composure and believe in his character. There is no need for him to ever switch off Rob.

Notice how skittles almost always rushed in… I hate the stigma that yl camps when the best way to play yink involves using projectiles to rush down and not camp.
he’s definitely not playing rush down. he’s still playing extremely safe, it’s just different than what you’re used to on elite smash

??? Did you watch the same game? He only runs in after firing off his projectiles. Skittles isn’t running to do forward air unless Zomba is already dealing with knock back from the arrow or boomerang
@@aliasname2257 i dont think you watched cuz its combination of both what you said and what the og poster said. When he see's an opportunity, he goes for it. He doesn't always have some thing flying in the air to cover him.
Also rob as a character has the more campy design cuz he can wait behind his spin top and stuffs much longer than yink does having boomer come back or setting a bomb on a platform
@@bigtoblerone8446 using the top as a spacing tool does nothing against YL who can shoot arrows directly over the top. If you tally the projectiles fired between both character YL is throwing out about twice as many as Rob which imo is weak. The counter pick Zomba needed was Wolf for real

Skittles is a freakin beast with Young Link, he puts my Young Link to shame lol. Mad props to him.
Zomba is a great player, however not consistent since he gets tilted very easily and that won’t allow him to grow. Reminds me of tweek at end of smash 4. Get a better mentality and he will be godlike. For now is just fun to watch him get frustrated.

Zomba was kinda slacking on the Rob Dairs off-stage,, there were times he was standing on the ledge and had all the time to react to y-links upB and he just kept missing those.. Cool set overall tho :]

ask 10 people who is more "degenerate" yink or the robo operating buddy with the spin top to camp behind, the frame 3 d tilt, the nair, a higher weight than young link, a MUCH better recovery with one of the most versatile in the game while young link has one of the most predictable arcs without a bomb in his hands, and lets not forget-
The spinning side b off stage that lasts half a century and ROB has the best dair for spiking and two framing in the game bar prolly mythra; huge ass hitbox, lingers for 10 frames.
Everyone knows ROB is a top ten character and young link is like top 25. Everyone knows ROB carries just look at the PG charts and stats of the online era.

BUT that doesn’t mean watching Skittles fire off 250 projectiles a match is high level game play. Maybe I’m sour bc Zomba got walled by spam and didn’t counter pick better
@@aliasname2257 We must have watched two different games because I seen Skittles rush Zomba down alot. PLUS Yinks projectiles are meant for confirming into things, you make it seem like Skittles was mindlessly tossing them.
