Will always be amazed on how she can curl lower lashes. Tried it and failed hahahaha

I can't even do my upper lashes
I think it also depends on how your eye shape is ^^ and the length of your bottom lashes. I don't want to sound like I am bragging or anything. But I think I have decent lashes for an Asian let's say I don't need to wear faux lashes for them to show (of course I have to curl them tho 😂), same with my bottom lashes. And finding an eyelash curler that fits the shape of your eye is key :) and ever since I saw Pony curl her lower lashes they have magically worked for me. 😳 I was pretty surprised myself
yeah I was too afraid to do so, I have short lower lashes, might just poke my eyes and get teary. how on earth she did that. hahahaha

when she came to singapore, she used my hairstylist for her Cleo photoshoot, and he told me that the makeup artists that came to do her makeup didn't need to do much because she did most of her makeup herself and she was so professional and amazing that even they felt embarrassed and didn't know what to do because she had already done everything herself 💕

I know!!! but her skills are much higher than that of an average makeup artist :)
imo, a lot of big youtuuber 'beauty gurus' or 'makeup experts' are actually just people who like to use and apply a lot of makeup. however, pony is an actual professional makeup artist who does makeup for celebrities. you can really tell the difference from others to her,. i'm not naming names of 'fake makeup artists', but it's obviously evident in the quality of the videos, techniques, advice, and overall makeup look.
ikr!!? what sucks is alot of "beauty gurus" fall under the same cookie cutter mold which is super heavy, trendy, instagram makeup. all of their "makeup tutorials" look the same. but with pony, her makeup looks not only have great variety, but they're super informative too! i love how she EXPLAINS her steps on why she's doing what she's doing! there truly is a HUGE gap between the talents of a professional makeup artist, and some self proclaimed "beauty expert" who wears makeup that only looks good in photos lol.

anniex3082 yes that's exactly right! her information and steps are extremely useful, unlike some who just go "apply the eyeshadow." etc. like ??? okay, thanks? whilst pony does a detailed explanation on each step and reviews products. also, her makeup is so amazingly done, i mean, look at some other beauty youtubers... they can't even get their foundation on right without making it look cakey? i see that way too often. sigh... sorry for another rant
this is why she's my idol and inspiration. even though she's pretty popular i still think she's underrated for the work she does. i've grown so much because of her. she always gives brief descriptions on the products she uses and i love that she always tries to make it easy for us to understand her instructions. she does such a variety of makeup styles and i notice compared to other youtubers, she doesn't just do the same routine for her entire face and then just different eye makeup. i really hope i can meet her someday!!!

I love how simple her make-up is to do, like she used what, four colours for the eyeshadow and you can see all of them and look so pretty, she just use the right shades, unlike other people now days that use 20 different eyeshadows and the colours just get covered by each other.
I also like how she gives more importance about the colour, describing the kind of shade and why she's using it instead of just throwing the brand shade name.

i love pony so much!!! she knows so much about makeup, it's amazing. other youtube makeup artists usually rotation between a few different products if they're not doing first impressions of new ones. pony always uses different products in different videos because she knows how they can be used for a look! like she pays so much attention to the small details of makeup. whether a look should be matte or not, how the color of her bronzer will affect the look, the shading of the lips, how each of her eyeshadows work with each other (makeup artists using shades with conflicting undertones always kills me), how to contour for different effects, etc. even the slightest shade change in foundation will make the look lean another way and she knows that!!! her skill is above almost all other gurus because of these despite not being so glam and luxurious. she's such an inspiration and i hope to become a makeup artist just as talented as her.

blending blending blending! invest in quality blending brushes and make sure to layer light shadows first underneath and you'll be fine!
