The pastors are causing this confusion. Making it seem like we are the hero of our own lives. Making things self-centered instead of God-centered. I am so glad that I attend a church that actually teaches the bible and doesn’t tell us or insinuate that we are “little gods.”
Shalom beautiful woman of God and many blessings to you and to your beautiful families (personal/ministries). I do not disagree with anything you have shared. This walk is GOD centered. And it is suppose to stay GOD-centered. But as for the "little god" situation, we are people created in The Most High's image. I don't think many believers study Genesis 1:26 and Genesis 2 like they should. Because if we pay attention, Adam and Eve were in that nature (the god nature). Because they took after GOD's (YAH's) image. It is hard for some to wrap their minds around this truth because they have a challenging time getting past their fallen nature. They can't get past their imperfections and the sin. This will never put a person in a place to focus on self. Because when Adam and Eve were in the "god nature" or in GOD's nature, they were still in a GOD-centered disposition. All they could focus on was GOD (YAH), because they were immersed and clothed in His life and in His glory and power. Redemption is designed to take the human soul back to that state. Divinity is GOD-centered. Born again believers are not a common or ordinary people. They are built to identify with a nature that identifies with The Most High GOD and His divinity. This is not promoting "self worship" or idolatry. This is about believers truly understanding what kind of life they are actually walking in. And the kind of covenant relationship they are building with their Creator, The Most High. GOD Bless you and thank you for allowing me to share this with you. Shalom unto you and to your beautiful families.
It seems he's still young in Christ so this makes sense that he'll need to see himself in it in order to understand it. Most of us, if not all of us, had that phase....we have to be in it to understand it. As he grows, he'll get new revelations. I love to see him excited about the Word!
I pray that wherever he goes that the word of God will be preached through the Holy Spirit. Not through a human perspective but through a holy perspective asking God for discernment bc its so easy for any of us to do this. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
He goes to change church, which is problematic but it's not as bad as COGIG or prosperity gospel churches. It's a good start! I hope he reads so he can learn more.
Jesus said in John 15:20 "Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also." He told his disciples "follow me." Not follow him to the crib but follow him as a student---an example. Imitate him and do what he does. If they do what he does they should get the same results he gets. So no we aren't Jesus but he's still our Teacher and example. He's our example concerning persecution and as the first resurrected, we will follow him in resurrection to eternal life. I don't know what the man was referring to about folks betraying him or if it had anything to do with his faith or something else but regarding our faith, there's nothing wrong with comparing our lives (not our character, authority, status and so forth) with Christ. He leads us. But I do agree we should understand what the passage is actually saying and teaching first before making applications to our lives. However I suspect that thats probably the way it was taught to him. But seeing the guy's face light up and hearing him talk about what he was learning made me smile. 😊 And I'm sure it probably made God smile too. Enter the kingdom as a little child.
Shalom men of God and many blessings to you all and to your beautiful wives and families (personal/ministries). I appreciate the truth you all have shared. And thank you for approaching this young man of valour's experience with sincere encouragement. Because I commend him too for allowing The Most High to pour His life into him. May The Most High continue to cover, govern, and protect his cultivation process through His intimate gift of redemption. And may he see this walk apart from the way the world sees the life and image of The Most High GOD. The Most High created us to not only live a life built around His truth. But He created us to have real experiences with Him. Those experiences are necessary and they are important. Because they also teach us why The Most High sees it necessary to endow us with His power. We are commissioned to bring people into real life changing experiences with The Messiah's redemption. This is why discipleship is very important in this walk. GOD Bless you all and Shalom unto you and to your beautiful wives and families.
Follow those who thru Faith and patience inherit the promises. While we are not the actual people in the Bible we can follow their life and gain wisdom to apply the lessons they learn in our own lives. Being smart is learning from your own mistakes, being wise is learning from the scripture, and other people's mistakes😂
Of course the man needs more discipline, he's a babe in Christ if he has accepted Christ into his heart. But there's layers to the scripture and that milk is where you start at.

Yup! Change church pastor does that a lot

But the Bible says that we are supposed to conform into the image of Christ.
Amen.
But exegetical interpretation matters
But how many times were WE Judas? Goodness.
