This guy predicted the future. Also, the 2019 modded Vergil was a trick abuser compared to the 2020 Vergil and has a limited moveset.

But Vergil doesn’t have as many weapons as them...I guess it’s fair?
Dante dodges are limited? Nah just press circle repeatedly... Dante never stops. They're just as good as the ones from vergil. Vergil dodge is a bit faster almost like the dodge from Dante's DT. But vergil doesn't have nearly as much aerial mobility in that form. And Dante has aerial mobility in thw form of extra jump between 1 to 3 dodges that can be reset and Between 2 to 4 teleports that can be reset. I would argue Dante's mobility is even better on some aspects. And certainly faster.
He’s only got a katana, no equipment slowdowns. He’s sanic fast.

There is a semi playable debug version of Vergil in the games files, presumably so the devs could bug test his moves.

Dar Weath pretty much, the modding community for dmc5 works fast lol. It's awesome y'all get to at least play or somewhat get to feel what it's like to play Vergil in dmc5 on PC. He obviously looks jank, and abit buggy not even having hit animations most of the time, but he's so cool and he's not even finished as a character lmao gameplay wise if they did plan on designing him in gameplay.
@@furious_malic7808 dude, this is TECHNICALLY fully playable. you can complete missions, do your stuff, they just gotta polish his ass now, add the complex movesets and add a hud for a start. coop is least priority for virgin boy.

Either they're waiting for PS5 and Xbox whatever to do a DMCV: Special Edition or they planned to do a Vergil DMCV but the idea was scrapped someways through (hence the incomplete moveset and animations)

That Vergil VS Vergil fight has got to be one of the best clips I've ever seen,especially since it's effectively a pretty cool Duel Boss. Not to mention of it being like an implication of him facing his "weakness" head-on
A part of me thinks history might repeat itself. Players want Vergil in the already released Devil May Cry title, Capcom responds with "Special Edition".
I was thinking about this recently. I mean, Capcom can make like, 10 dollars with a dlc, 20 tops. But they grab the game, make it a special edition with Trish, Lady and Vergil playable, and Bam, full price game, maybe even a little more expensive because it's special edition.

Mod will be forgotten if Vergil dlc is out. But it's demice will become Vergil's revival and retaliation.
In case you guys are wondering why this is even in the game, this is all used either in the Vergil fight, in Dante's credits section with the kill contest vs Vergil, or both.

Well darkslayer was just an altered version of Vergil's yamato moveset from 3.
Tahraki491 agreed, no one can use Darkslayer other than Vergil.
Imagine if it played like whenever you dual wield the Yamato and force edge as vergil DMC4 Special edition? (Dante uses Rebellion with the Yamato) that would've been awesome!

They did an amazing job. He went from looking like a complete snooze fest to play, to being an almost fully functional character. Now, if only they could find a way to get rid of that awkward walking pose he occasionally does, which looks like it’s tied to side strafing.

Now I know why they did not made Vergil playable in the game. He's too over powered. Damage over one thousand. And that is only with a single sword slash.

Lol the dev's can change it. I mean, in hell and hell mode you have a full health bar, but die in one hit. The damage can be altered for gameplay purposes

You know? You could add the invocable sword attacks. With button to shoot summoning one sword. Maintaining pressed summoning many. Forward summoning them around an enemy. Backwards around you (consuming DT) backwards to forwards making them fall.

I think he should've been a bonus after finishing the game like in dmc3
