I really admire his general demeanor: he’s a humble, happy kid on court. His ambition seems natural and healthy, neither a battle against inner demons nor some sick drive growing out of ego and spite. I don’t know, the kid looks pure. I guess Ferrero is really a great coach.
There is something addictive about his tennis. I saw him play once at Roland Garros this year and was hooked. I watched all his remaining games, then every game at Queens and every game at Wimbledon and was ecstatic when he won. I just haven’t been that invested in a single player before! Long may it continue!
Agree 100%. I've been hooked on his brand of tennis since early last year. Been watching pretty much all of his matches since then. Somehow I'm fully invested in his success, and I was never invested in anyone to this extent before. His tennis is just intoxicating.
Well I'm more excited when a Ronaldo will come and there will be a strong rivalry which will make the game more interesting than it ever was. El Clasico of tennis❤
Haha, you must be joking. Watch some Messi best ofs and come back please. Easily the best player ever, at least in terms of touch and dribbling. Ronaldinho perhaps, but he never scored as much.
Totally irrelevant comparison. Stick to tennis and you will find he is beyond comparison. My god, he just beat the most dominant tennis player...EVER and he's only 20 years old.
Alcaraz is a phenom but let's please leave this young man to just play his best tennis. So glad he has his amazing team. Stop the comparisons. Just let him play.
I've been following the big 3 since I'm being addicted to tennis but Carlos at his age give me more goosebumps every time he play in any given surface. Skill and performance wise, he is the best right now even he lost I still enjoy watching him because of his versatility of his game. Like Novak I haven't seen anyone play like Carlitos. He came from defferent planet.😀 😀
A mixture of talent and great sportsmanship will always succeed, such a nice fellow that brings so much passion to the court. Carlos is extremely special from mentally perspectives, never lose control that is his main strength, His hero is Nadal and this was also the main strength of Nadal being endless strong mentally.
I'm just mesmerized by his fantastic all round game. He always makes me 😂😂😅 so hard i can't get enough of him, and those expressions when he plays a great shot make me hysterical. He is truly a great entertainer too.
Alcaraz makes the most amazing plays like they are nothing. He is truly exceptional, I dont know about longevity but Alzaraz is to Tennis like Messi to football. Alzaraz plays as if he was born for it,
I don't think any of the Big 3 were as proficient from all parts of the court on all surfaces at his age. And his game is far more captivating to watch because of his aggressiveness and improvisation. He's always looking to create opportunities by doing something unexpected, rather than getting caught up in long and boring rallies (which was very common when it came to the Big 3). If he can stay healthy through the rest of this season, I expect him to successfully defend his US Open title.
I totally agree with you. His game is extraordinary very creative to give his audience something that we didn't see more often from the big three but for him every game can surprise you. Big three in one what can we expect more?
@@joshheinink You mean like 23 Slams? Bro, give the kid some space, no one has a crystal ball. All we know is that he is far better than Djokovic and Federer were at his age. Only Nadal was (maybe) on his level at the same age, but not as a complete player as Alcaraz already is.
I like to compare this with Callas' career in opera. She was at the top of her powers for about a decade. Some other artists lasted three times longer. And so what? What a true aficionado wants is the highest level of art, and it doesn't matter how many seasons it lasts. I tremendously enjoy watching this kid Alcaraz playing at this level with so many alternatives and such physical prowess. I don't care if he wins ten Wimbledon titles, three, or just one. I've never seen such a high quality of tennis, and I've become somewhat addicted to it. I don't want anything less.
I have the same admiration for him, even his career end early I still consider him to be the best. His game is so addicted to watch as if you want to watch him play every day in front of your TV set.😀
Recent years nobody had beaten Djokovic to the level of Alcaraz.. In first 2 sets of Wimbledon final 2024, Alcaraz had broken twice in both the sets is really astonishing..
Top three are great, without a doubt. But beyond the complete game he has I see more pure, natural talent in Alcaraz than any of the Goats. Pure, natural talent...something you simply can't build or learn.
It's very early days to know. The same euphoria was aimed at the teenage Becker. The big 3 sustained it for a long career mostly. He is brilliant and much needed as the big 3 era is ending, but he is playing against a very weak field, a crocked Nadal, and past his best old man Novak. Easy to up your game and hit amazing shots when the opposition isn't pressuring you. The only time he has been affected on the big stage, was when his nerves got to him and Novak ran him around more than he was used to at the French Open. We have to remember that the big 3 put each other under massive amounts of pressure and were always a threat to each other. Alcaraz hasn't that worry. As great as he is, this gen isn't good enough to challenge him and it will become boring as he blasts his way to records. Nothing will compare to the big 3 era.
@@gelvisbluenah. You aren't a good analyst. He's just so good he makes the competition look weak. Sinner is great. Tommy Paul is great. Therexarexa lot of good players. The weak era thing is an old excuse
Like Federer he is humble and extremely likeable, just what the sport needs. His coaches have taught him well combined with his own natural charm. We can all learn from watching people like this and adopting the same attitude, knowing our politeness and good humour will always open doors throughout our lives making both our lives and others fulfilled.
Connors forgets Novak Djokovic had the exact same cramping issues at the same age of Alcaraz. And they said the same about Nadal's play style and longevity some 15 years ago.
@@gelvisblue Novak didn't have undiagnosed and untreated celiac disease, which is indeed a life-threatening condition. Novak only has a Non-celiac gluten sensitivity, which is still disputed by science if this condition even exists.
I love Alcaraz but he has a long way to go before I think it's fair to put the pressure on him to match any of the big 3. I've seen so many arguments for why he will or won't win 20 grand slams. "he doesn't have to contend with the big 3 so he'll get there easily", "his body will break down", "he won't have rivals to push him to keep getting better". But the way I see it, who knows what will happen? but as a fan of both tennis and Alcaraz, I am just happy to be along for the ride and watch his career play out. He's an amazing young player, he's talented, charismatic, fun to watch, and I'm just going to enjoy that while he's playing.
Great point. I’d only add that the probable lack of competition he’d be facing in the future wouldn’t be his fault and therefore should have little to do with the argument of his greatness, especially since he already won against Djokovich with relatively little experience, and yesterday he milked the latter’s energy and nerves to have him earn it.
He has won me over. I sat down with my parents for the 35th year in a row to watch the Wimbledon finals. It's like a family tradition. We all were cheering for Djokovic to win. By set 5, all three of us admitted that we really wanted Alcaraz to win instead, because of the way he played. The kid has heart, and skills to boot. I'll follow his career with enthusiasm and hope that he wins 20 more grand slams.
Connors people said same for nadal who had chronic injuriee. Alcaraz dont have that injuries more he plays less tournaments than big three did at 20. He will be fine
Who Cares what Jimmy Conners says..., Do Your best while You can until You can..., Thats it thats all..., Carlos is the best in the world , right now Period....
I echo some of Connors takes on Carlos. I just love the guy, but his extreme form of court coverage leaves me wondering how will he avoid constant injuries long-term ?
he will need to learn to be a more efficient mover like novak long term but compared to last year, his movement is already abit less crazy this year (his highlight reels last year was a madness)
@@tonygiang3625 not really when one considers all the injury problems that Rafa has had. Carlos is even more physical. I hope he (Carlos) can manage to adapt as he ages without those nagging injuries.

But, as World Number 1, in 2023, Carlos Alcaraz can capture Wimbledon Men's Title.. If the Success in Capturing Wimbledon Men's Title for 5 more years, continiously, by Alcaraz will be Very Good...
Ppl should stop putting pressure on the Alcaraz and comparing him to the big 3. If he can win at least 10 grandslams by the age of 25, think that he has a good chance of overtaking the big 3. I still predict that his slam count for his career will range from 12-14. I see the tennis field being more competitive and deeper after Djokovic retires. Sinner, Rune, and Fritz have the potential to win multiple grand slams. I see Tsitsipas, Ruud, and Zrevev overcoming their mental mental hurdles and finally winning a slam before they retire.
@@j.a.696 Sinner beat Alcaraz in Wimbledon last year and their record is even. Once Djokovic is gone, it will be easier for the other guys that I mentioned to win a Grand Slam. Djokovic is toughest person to beat in a 5 set match due to his defense, mental toughness, and willingness to adapt to how his opponent is playing him.
14:37 Exactly, he's a mix of the big 4. A hybrid player of them all. The creativity and aggressivity of Federer, the Power and FH of Nadal, the defense of Djokovic, aaand the lob of Murray. ua-cam.com/video/18pE_iRbty4/v-deo.html Alcaraz really has it all at just 20 years of age.

2:08 lol how many people said that about Rafa? It's not about the body, it's about the mind, Alcaraz will be the new leader of the pack.... wait a second... he already is 😏
Enjoy Alcaraz for another 15 years or more. Right now he plays level agaist Djoker but he became pro when Alcaraz was born. 2003 till 2023 he is still in Finals. Only Alcaraz can reach to finals its quite exhausting. But the rising star will certainly get there. Bravo Charley..!!
Alc is a great talent but let's not get carried away by saying he's already better than peak Big 3. He needs to win at least 10 slams to get into that conversation.
12:30 wrong, davedenko and older gens would have competed causing suffering to next years results, by using intelligence and stepping back, alcaraz has now won wimbledon, listening to your body is key to longevity
At 20, he is one of the strongest, cagiest, most accurate and clever players to have ever played the game! If he stays healthy, he will get even better! If he stays healthy.... But if he keeps chasing every single shot, he may not last.
I'm a huge Novak fan, but honestly Alcaraz is probably the most talented player I've ever seen, probably even more so than even Federer. He has less weaknesses in his game for sure. Plus he seems stronger mentally than Federer. It's yet to be seen whether he can be mentally as strong as Novak or Rafa though.
Carlos is number one in my book. I only hope he can remain somewhat humble and not get into the conspicuous consumption too quickly like the big winners do.

I don’t remember the big 3-4 being given this amount of pressure . For example RG . He’s still learning how to deal with stuff emotionally most adults older are still learning how. @@gelvisblue Am not talking about other tennis players, i mean expectations are high for Alcaraz even though he says he’s not under pressure.Being 20 and walking out in front of a court with 12 -15 thousand people. It sounds very different there than TV. Ive been to loads of big courts over the years,When this creeps in, it can be paralysing. If not checked. Not sure you can call sinner or Rublev, Felix weak. They can easily out play most on a good day. You said when Fed and Rafa they had each other . Well, that can be said here to. Novak couldn’t beta Federer in 06 07. He had to learn how to beat Nadal and Federer. Who’s to say something similar doesn’t happen again?
@@drstew1 Cannot be compared to the big 3 era (3 greatest in the same era). Felix is no where near Alcaraz. Sinner still has a way to go. Rublev has the foundations, but needs to step it up. It's too easy for Alcaraz and even old man Novak to work them out in the biggest tournaments. I have watched a lot of live tennis too. I remember Becker bursting onto the scene as the teenage powerhouse, blowing away some greats of the game. I remember the same euphoria that Alcaraz is getting. Becker dealt with it well considering how young he was. I feel Alcaraz is very mature for his age and very honest. Like when he first beat Novak and he recognised the disruption Novak had suffered early that year. He said, after that won, that he needed to beat a 100% Novak. I admire his honesty and how he keeps himself grounded. He knows Novak is not his real rival, due to the massive age difference and him being near retirement. Novak also said, he isn't his rival, Nadal is. Pre 2011 Novak was affected by undiagnosed and untreated celiac condition, which affected his coordination and balance. His diet was poisoning him and burning him out. Roddick talks about this and noticed the transformation after 2010. His 2011 season proves that, once treated and he went 10-1 win that season in the H2H with Nadal and Federer.

Alcaraz is amazing... ...but no way can one predict his future. He'll have to look after his body for longevity. Or alternatively he throws caution to the wind, and collects what he can while he has the advantage. Hewitt was end of year world number 1 two years in a row and won the US Open, Wimbledon and two ATP Finals. And then that was that.... It is going to be fascinating to see how Djokovic responds to the Wimbledon lost. I'm also assuming he'll have way more support at the US Open, when he hasn't won since 2018, compared to Wimbledon where he hadn't lost for ages!
He definitely is a great talent at this age ..but in tennis it's difficult to be a consistent best... let's see where he will be in 10 years .hope the best for him❤
He just needs to watch out for wear and tear and injuries. Many greats have said, that he doesn't need to chase down every ball. It was amazing that old man Novak was able to run him around more than he was normally used to at the FO. Novak defied the norms of old age in tennis and devised a genius game-plan to deal with him. This just proves his greatness. Yes he lost at Wimbledon, but it was close over 5 sets and that was with his first serve deserting him. Also, like at the US in 2021, the pressure of history got to him (the chance to equal Margaret Court's Slams record and Roger's Wimbledon record). That all said, Alcaraz is much needed new blood in a poor new gen field. He is amazing, but he needs a couple of serious rivals to create a Big 3 part 2.
11:15 I now think it's Alcaraz to be the favourite for the US Open. He knows now he can beat Novak in a Slam final, and the US Open was always the weakest Slam of Novak.
i mean, what connors said about carlos. for me, in todays tennis reality, there's no other choice to be at the top without putting 500% in every shot, every slide each game. for sure this kind of gamestyle is risky with injuries, but you had to be federer to maintain successful without pushing your body to the limits. even though, rafa who had plenty of injuries throughout his carrer, was able to win 22 majors or novak who also pushes his body to the limits on court was able to avoid injuries. so i would not recommend alcraz to think of changing his play style
maybe Connors has a point … the way he runs down every ball .. and put so much force into every play … might just be detrimental to his longevity .. injury will be the only factor which could derail him becoming GOAT .. surpassing the big three
No coach is above the inner core confidence of a winner. Genius like Djokovic does NOT need to be "simple" or "easy' on coaches, staff, anyone. Djokovic GOAT lives for his own personal family life achievement GOAT GOALS ..... not to appease anyone else. A genius star performer like GOAT DJOKOVIC, in all sports, sciences, arts, professions, EXCELS and OUTPERFORMS all competition.
Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic is similar to Graf vs Navratilova in 1987 when Graf was 17/18 and Navratilova was 30. Their rivalry was legendary and I expect the same with Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. However the 16 year age gap is in Carlos Alcaraz favor because he's only going to get better.
Alcaraz is hitting the ball without bothering about Unforced Errors. Match by match, Alcaraz managed to secure more Winners than Unforced Errors by his Explosive shots. This is called Experience Other Players need to play like Alcaraz. Playing cautiously against Alcaraz won't get even 1 set Other wise, Alcaraz can't be stopped in next 5 years
He is incredible, the best for now and for the future! He has changed everything in a few time... he deserves the best as Federer and Nadal deserved before him. He has their talent combined in one person. He is really amazing!!
@@rkymtnchi503 already the best. He just has to put in evidence all the tricks ( out of any rules of tennis 🎾 ) that use unrespectably Djokovitch. WTF would Connors do when playing other men in this current generation? Lose points because he'd have to put out a tremendous amount of effort? ALL of the top players today are like magnificent machines, but Alcaraz has some things that the others just don't have. He is a quick thinker and His reaction time is phenomenal. His spatial sense is the best. His feel for the ball is the best. His placement is the best. He plays with the force of a Novak or Nadal, but he has the delicate touch and placement of Chris Everett, who could put a ball in a teacup. His anticipation is uncanny. He has the most complete game out all the grand slam players of the last 50 years (the only one who comes closest is Roger Federer). If he stays healthy and injury free . . . we tennis fans will be seeing a lot of beautiful tennis from this guy. 🎾
Djokovic does not have the game to find answers for Alcaraz. Djoker's FH is not anywhere near Alcaraz FH. Meanwhile Alcaraz BH can hang with Nole toe to toe .
(Posted 07-24-24) Since this video was made, Alcaraz has added two more majors to his resume (French and Wimbledon) and is the odds-on favorite to win the US Open later this year. But both Sinner and Medvedev are strong on hardcourts, as is Djokovic if he is healthy. And of course the Olympics are just days away; that will be on clay at Roland Garros.
im a big joker fan.. but for me its sad to see that when nole steps down the gap between alcaraz and the rest will be sooo big, that he will not have any real rivals to evolve from. He is just so much better then the rest. Only nole is a real challenge atm. Thats the reason wha the era nole-rafa-federer-murray-wawrinka was so great.. they pushed each other.
Alcaraz is indeed a very promising athlete however my favourite now and always undoubtedly NOVAK DJOKOVIC. Champion extraordinaire and the greatest ever.
All these days djokovic has been winning because there is no proper competition for djokoic : his record against acalaraz 2 and 0 ( one match alacaraz injured ) . Rune 2 and 0 against djokovic. . that's why he will never be goat even if he wins 30 grandslams
Too much expectation is being placed on Alcaraz. Let him enjoy the moment, and his ambition, but putting pressure on his shoulders to be like the big 3, this early in his career, is too much. He is wise to say, he is not a champion like Djokovic. He understands that you can't always be at your best, and when he isn't at his best himself, he just takes it on the chin .He has a refreshing attitude, and always respects other players. We should just enjoy his career as it progresses, and not look too far ahead.
the real potential will be seen when he gets good rivals like all the other past legends had to deal with...even Federer had a clean run in the 2000s when he looked like the GOAT...till Nadal, Djokovic arrived with all their force...
Id like to understand more from Connors about what he sees specifically in Carlos' game that could be changed to preserve his body while still being as successful as he is, because, IMO, I really do not see much of a difference between Carlos and Novak, and Novak has stayed healthy for years running around like a madman.
Only time will tell how good Alcaraz is.He played in 47 tournaments and won 12 titles ( about 1/4) from 15 finals. He has obviously been studying No23vak' s game for a decade, or so, because he seemed to have the right answer for every situation ( especially when it comes to volleys at the net vs. No23vak' s passing shots)No23vak may, or may not meet Alcaraz a few more times before he retires, but the outcome of those matches will not mean much, since No23vak already made his career vs. Federer and Nadal, and will start thinking about the retirement in 2025.
...... a bit surprised among the critics of Djokovic, Wilander seems to be copping flack still for not agreeing with the majority on him as " the goat " . Instead calling him the boat . I think it's a fair comment from someone who reached the heights not far from. Fact is , Djokovic, while his longevity alone puts him right up there - his slam total grew exponentially after the 2019 season , courtesy of 1) the other two largely being gone & 2 ) the rest of the new gen being weak from 2020 to end of 2023 - with just a few proving up to the task . I've played the game and followed pro tennis since the early 80 s; seen many great players come n go. While I'd rank Djokovic certainly among the greats , mainly for his rock steady consistant game & his flexibility & certainly his longevity at the very top - I don't see him overall any better than many of the greats from the 80 s & particularly the strongest era of the 1990s . Any number of champions from either of those periods - could have taken it right to and rolled Djokovic frequently; i.e Sampras at Wimbledon & US opens ; Kuerton on clay , Agassi on indoor or Safin on and med to fast surface ...etc etc Even wilander himself possessed at least the skill set Djokovic has, would have matched him on most surfaces equipment being equal. Longevity, is one area the big three stand out - all three stayed at the very top, winning the biggest tournament s & competing for near on 14 to 15 years ; that's very unique
He is great. I love him playing. But, one do have to acknowledge that the rest of the ATP field (except Nole) is an absolute disappointment. Spoiled brats who earn too much for what they deliver and are not as determined and hard working as Carlito. Thats why it is easier for Carlito to win especially when Nole does not compete any more.
Just came here to say that novak was the best player in 2023. He won 3/4 slams He made to the final of all the slams He won the ATP finals He won 2 atp-1000 titles. He won 7 titles. He was the only one to had 10000 ATP points that year Became first player to cross 400 weeks at number 1. But people told that this is the end of Novak era and start of Carlos era. Novak era will be end, as nothing is permanent. But it was not in 2023.
I agree with Connors, Alcaraz is brilliant, but career will not last long, his body will not last. Actually I feel bad that I feel like that. He is like a racing car. But I want to gratulate him for what he has achieved up to now.
Alcaraz is a beast.. pretty soon, he wont even need a racket, he'll just use his arm to strike the ball! The only problem is, tennis will become quite boring... unless some other young players emerge who can truly compete with him over the next 15 years or so. If not, Carlos will dominate so completely that tennis will lose its excitement
No it won't. Sinner is already a big rival and rune will step up too though it will take longer for him. And we don't know the next big emerging talent. There will always be others
@z1az285 Sorry, but I disagree. I just dont see the same excellence from the other players that you mentioned. Also, I don't see the tennis world lining up to praise their excellence. Who compares sinner and rune to even one of the big three? Alcaraz is being compared to all 3 of them! But I do see the endorsers regretting having their logo visible as rune throws his mother out of the stands...or when he breaks down and becomes mentally ill in the middle of a match! Can you imagine alcaraz being so pathetic as to throw his own mother out? I can't either! What a weakling rune is! All I see are the endorsers backing away from rune in regret. As for sinner, he certainly has more inner strength and toughness than rune, but he doesn't have the talent or drive to keep up with Alcaraz... nor does he bring the same excitement to the sport. I'm not sure what you see, but I am confident that currently, there aren't any young players that are on Alcaraz's level. But, for the sake of the sport, I do hope that some emerge.
@@JohnLeggio I totally understand all your points. In that sense you are absolutely correct. Neither Sinner nor Rune have shown the mental toughness in a BO5 format that Alcaraz has plus drama seems to follow Rune wherever he plays. But I say sinner is a big rival to Carlos because he has raised his level vs Carlos on all surfaces (grass, hard, clay) while Carlos has beaten him on hard three times. He has beaten Carlos in both formats , at Wimbledon in a BO5 and in fact had a match point at last years USO. It is true he hasn't made a breakthrough in slams or against Djokovic but I do believe he will continue to improve. Let's not forget that Novak took five years or so before he found a new level. Who knows? Rune or sinner may do the same. Or not. No one can predict the future. But tennis is a strange sport that way. Things change quickly. And there may be emerging talents who could pose a challenge. We will find out.

Alzaraz plays as if he was born for it,
He name Is ALCARAZ and not the way you write it.
Yeah, I agree with you. He is the Michael Jordan of Tennis, his play, his versatility in the court with unbelievable shots is a pleasure to watch.
Or Mike Tyson in his prime
Fs atleast wait till he's got 10 slams 😅
Yes, he has inspired levels of improv like Federer. Federer also magically pulled unexpected shots out of nowhere.
He will beat Djokovic again at the U.S. Open- this is Novak's weakest surface- real test is on AO!
Let's see him chase djokovic big titles
Couldn’t agree more🤍
Wow, couldn't agree more.
I have the same admiration for him, even his career end early I still consider him to be the best. His game is so addicted to watch as if you want to watch him play every day in front of your TV set.😀
I feel the same but since this video he's won 2cmore slams
Yessss please we need more Alcaraz videos 🙏 👍🔥

No question. He's closest to Federer but even better with better defensive skills and more weapons.

Con el tenis de Carlos debemos hacer lo mismo, disfrutarlo y considerarnos afortunados de presenciarlo. Dure lo que dure, sin establecer comparaciones .
I am just so thrilled that we have such a brilliant to take over from the big three❤
What a great video, what a work, congratulations!
Connors forgets Novak Djokovic had the exact same cramping issues at the same age of Alcaraz. And they said the same about Nadal's play style and longevity some 15 years ago.
Novak's was down to his diet poisoning him. Novak pre 2011 had undiagnosed and untreated celiac condition.
He is amazing, but Sinner will keep him on his toes. Good rivalry developing!
He will be fine
and since you uploaded this, Carlos wins the channel double

I echo some of Connors takes on Carlos. I just love the guy, but his extreme form of court coverage leaves me wondering how will he avoid constant injuries long-term ?
They said that about Nadal. It’s all just “it’s and ands, pots and pans”

I think Chris Evert sums Alceraz up best ...... She s not just a great player , but a very keen observer

What will be really fascinating is a Novak/Carlos match up at the Australian Open.
@@ddjr6673 Undoubtedly. That would be really fascinating to watch! 👀
i mean, what connors said about carlos. for me, in todays tennis reality, there's no other choice to be at the top without putting 500% in every shot, every slide each game. for sure this kind of gamestyle is risky with injuries, but you had to be federer to maintain successful without pushing your body to the limits. even though, rafa who had plenty of injuries throughout his carrer, was able to win 22 majors or novak who also pushes his body to the limits on court was able to avoid injuries. so i would not recommend alcraz to think of changing his play style
maybe Connors has a point … the way he runs down every ball .. and put so much force into every play … might just be detrimental to his longevity .. injury will be the only factor which could derail him becoming GOAT .. surpassing the big three

Meanwhile Alcaraz BH can hang with Nole toe to toe
.
Alcaraz has brought the drop shot back as an offensive weapon and he himself has been defeated recently with the drop shot hit by his opponents.
They said the same thing about Nadal.
If Carlos stays healthy, fit, he should win the next us open and Australian open,
Connors forgot there is a Spaniard who able to do it
Do not forget Sinner and Rune !!!!!!! They will be next big 3
im a big joker fan.. but for me its sad to see that when nole steps down the gap between alcaraz and the rest will be sooo big, that he will not have any real rivals to evolve from.
All these days djokovic has been winning because there is no proper competition for djokoic :

His first serve is definitely a weakness, did cost him serveral important marches
He is inceredible when he in top of his game, but will he able to keep that momentum when under pressure from the opponent?
And a year later he has four Grand Slams
I wonder if alcaraz will be able to hoold his level and fitness for a long run given the style. Nadal style. Very exhausting on the body
Id like to understand more from Connors about what he sees specifically in Carlos' game that could be changed to preserve his body while still being as successful as he is, because, IMO, I really do not see much of a difference between Carlos and Novak, and Novak has stayed healthy for years running around like a madman.
These legends who also said that way nadal moved he would not have the longevity. How they were wrong. The modern player will have a 20-25 year career

Any number of champions from either of those periods - could have taken it right to and rolled Djokovic frequently; i.e Sampras at Wimbledon & US opens ; Kuerton on clay , Agassi on indoor or Safin on and med to fast surface ...etc etc
Even wilander himself possessed at least the skill set Djokovic has, would have matched him on most surfaces equipment being equal.
Exactly !!
Just came here to say that novak was the best player in 2023.

He made to the final of all the slams
He won the ATP finals
He won 2 atp-1000 titles.

@z1az285 it is clear that you like tennis like I do! It seems that we can agree that 'time will tell' with regard to emerging talent in this most excellent sport. Thank you amigo
