Loved this series, when it first came out on Sky 1 back in 2000. The pub which was shown on the exterior shots was at the junction of Barlby Road and Ladbroke Grove in Notting Hill W10. Now demolished and brown office type block in it's place. Used to work down the road from the pub and passed it alot.
Some of my best nights out were when I just went down the pub/bar by myself, the local backpackers bar was the best. True, but both seasons are significantly longer than most British sitcoms - there's more TGP episodes than Fawlty Towers, The Young Ones, and Bottom combined.

One of my favourite sitcoms ever, though sadly not too many people seem to have seen it. Al Murray is a genuine genius of comedy, whether it's on this show, or his stand up comedy.
Probably the most overlooked sitcom classic ever... Maybe if Al had soul his soul to the BBC instead of Sky, it would be better known, maybe even as popular as Nick Knowles' DIY SOS.
