I have concluded you are my fave stylist. You are real, speak to those of us that need style tips so eloquently. I have been following bloggers for 5 months now. Thank you. Love your colour pops, nothing too drab. 😊
Well said ❤
Agree
Thank you for a great video. Lovely to see you modeling the clothes with a smile. what a difference from these hideous models that frown and look so miserable, makes the whole look unattractive offering no incentive to buy the clothes. When will the companies realize this?
She’s not princess KATE!!! Good grief
Hello Gemma! Love my coat collection because basically it’s the first thing people see during winter. Love a pair of cashmere wool wide leg trousers. Warm, soft, cosy, comfortable and luxurious 🥰🥰 look after your ears
Thanks to you, and Petite Dressing, my 8 days of Christmas winter will be in camel, grey and navy under a raspberry red trapeze wool coat. Then back home to my island, where a t shirt is winter wear.
Great selection of items in the capsule…lots of outfit ideas 👍
Could you please do a video on skirts? Thanks
I love the guiding star! God bless, John 3:16🙏
💕John 3:16 is my favorite, too.
Capsule wardrobe is looking pieces
great ideas! I live in the US midwest, so its too cold for skirts or knitted dresses in winter. (I used to like wearing them with boots in the winter when I lived in the UK!) My winter capsule includes a down lined parka coat, lots of trousers - wool, chords and jeans (for slightly warmer days), two cashmere sweaters - round neck & a roll neck one as well as a hip-length marino-wool shawl neck cardigan and a long cardigan of wool & mohair.
I like your list, it's quite practical. However, I would switch out the sweater dress for a trench coat or rain coat. Where I live in the American southeast, our winters tend to be chilly and rainy, and having a coat that is water-repellant but still looks professional is a necessity.. When I was working in an office setting, I had several such : a neutral trench with a thin lining, a long black "all weather" coat with a removable warm lining, and a pink Macintosh style, that also had a removable lining. I wore these more than my wool coats. I wore sweater dresses when I was younger and frankly, slimmer, but now I just don't find them flattering or practical.
I love this video, as I do all your videos, you’re my favorite stylist anywhere and my fashion icon. A knit dress with knee-high boots is one of my go-to winter outfits, so much more comfy than trousers with my thick waist!
You look stunning in the knit dresses! Thank you for all your tips. I like to watch and rewatch when I need style inspiration before dressing for an event. I also love the Princess Kate style examples.
Outstanding!
Thanks
I love the jewelries… the accessories 😍🥰
I love it that almost everything you suggested in this video is either already a part of one's wardrobe or a good suggestion to add to it. I own most of the things you mentioned. For me warm joggers are also an essential, because some days are so cold that only the promise of their comfort can motivate me out of the bed. I prefer them in bright colours and wear them with turtle necks or good quality jumpers and/or a short puffer jacket.
Love all your styles Thank you
Corduroy pants are a huge part of my winter capsule wardrobe. Although I have jeans, I don’t wear them in the winter and hardly ever in the summer.
I wear jeans most of the time because I have 4 cats who insist on getting my attention by sticking their claws into my legs and they use me as a jumping-off platform on the sofa, and a racetrack when they're playing chase with each other. They ruin my corduroys, so I save them for wearing out of the house.
I just bought a pair of black corduroy pants today. They are so warm I can't wait to wear them. I do love my jeans in the winter too.
Me too!
I always wear corduroy trousers in the winter too. So much warmer than jeans.
Capsule wardrobe s are a nice idea, but wearing a different coat doesn't make the same outfit a different outfit, once you take your coat off
All so gorgeous Gemma😍 Fabulous video ❤️👏
Where's your grey sweater and cardigan in the last look from?
What is the key to looking great in a maxi or midi dress or skirt when you have a little extra weight in your tummy area and you are short waisted with long legs and are 5’6” in height?
Beautiful. Love your style..
Thank you so much!
Gemma will you show "very slowly" how to tie the belt for coats? That new loop that's always shown. It's on the grey coat you shared at the beginning of a video.
Not fro Gemma, but I've learned one way. Draw the belt slightly long to one size. Make a loop knot in the belt about center, near your waist. Then simply slip the opposite end of belt thru, and tug tightly. I find I have to play a bit with it a bit to get the position right, and the length right. Have fun!! You can do it his in the back to have a sleeker look.
There's a setting that allows you to slow down or speed up the video. Go up to the upper right-hand corner of the video. There's a cog symbol. Click on it to see the setting options. Just to add, you may have to click on the screen to see the cog.
Love this!!

I don't think you mentioned a hat? I have two stocking caps. And a knit 'beret' I get compliments on. I like to keep my head warm in cooler weather. It's a must have for me in winter. 🧶
She lives in England, where it doesn't get so cold. I personally have numerous winter hats and earmuffs. In a pinch, I can use the hood on my parka and my wool scarf.
@@edennis8578 Sounds like you live where it's really cold!🥶
Dear Gemma, You always talk about Monica Vinander jewelry and recently I took advantage of their awesome winter sale stocking up on lots of rings and pendants. Very pleased with my purchase.
Wonderful. I hope you love your purchases ❤️
My pieces for winter capsule, it’s tough to narrow it down, but thinking of what I wear the most, probably: 1) long wool coat, 2) wool blazer, 3) silk shirt, 4) knit silk top, 5) knit dress, 6) knit trousers, 7) long skirt, 8) ankle boots, 9) knee-high boots, and 10) cashmere sweater. I like high-quality natural-fiber fabrics and genuine leather footwear. This very stormy winter in San Francisco, I switch out my long wool coat for my insulated trench coat. We had a drought for so many years, that no one needed rain-wear for a generation, I’m so glad I have this option. If I could stretch to one more item, it would be my new silk knit hoodie, I wear it so much.
Hola GEMA.fabuloso closet cápsula.miy versátil.colombia.magnifico video lindos outfits
Love the roll neck jumpers esp in cream, also gray & black colors
I love your style videos. I live the in semi-tropical climate of Louisiana in the US, so a lot of the warmer fashions you show are not practical here. But style and class and great color combinations are always practical. I share your videos to my friends and save them to my UA-cam library for quick reference. Thanks for the research you do on our behalf. By the way, I truly enjoy Princess Kates style photos.
Bonjour.. vous savez d’ou proviennent les bottes de Kate Middelton au tout début de votre vidéo? Salutations de France
Bonjour, je pense que ce sont des bottes Penelope Chilvers
Brilliant capsule winter wear love all of the ideas and com inactions. My favourite us the perennial o resized camel coat. I also like hats turban woollen hats beanie pull downs and berets. I have one fox fur fir ultra warmth and glamour Great video as always Gemma
I'm so glad you included the knee high flat boot. I've yet to wear mine this season but am already thinking of all the outfits I can style with them.
You're my fav!
😊😊😊😊😊
❤❤❤
I love these looks. I would love to see you wear the burgundy coat with black leather gloves as well.
What a great video! I love all the pieces and ideas. I live in a climate that gets quite cold and there is a lot of snow and ice, and these pieces can be adapted for those conditions.
Yes yes
Thanks Gemma! Love watching your videos for inspiration. I’d have to add a comfy loungewear set to my winter capsule wardrobe. Have a lovely Christmas 🎄 ❤
Happy Christmas 🎄♥️
This was actually a very good video. I'm usually very disappointed by these types of videos.
thank you
This whole video is just gorgeous. Well done!
I can say that you are a big Princess of Wales fan!
Who isn’t? I sure am🙂
Yes, same. Exactly.
I am 😀 I think she carries herself with such dignity and I absolutely love the way she dresses
Turtle neck sweaters are a must in my winter capsule wardrobe. Cashmere sweaters and cardigans are also a staple for me in the winter. I love ankle boots because they are so versatile. Thanks for all your inspirational ideas.
Great video! I think you should do a video on what goes with brown. I wore brown yesterday with a Navy sweater to a mixed reaction. Your videos are super helpful!
I like your classics
I love the Princess’s navy and green plaid coat. Well, nearly everything she wears, actually. She has great taste.
I love your pearl erring that you always wear, where are those from. It looks so elegant.
Thank you. They’re Dior
Of course I watch all your videos 😊 you look great in red
😊 thank you
❤
Thank you!😊
❤
Sadly, I feel like I am choking with a crew, mock or turtleneck. I wish I could but I can't. So I'm playing with scarves over my coats.
My Canadian winter essentials are knee-high boots, flat and high (block)-heeled, tan and black, waterproof lug-soled high boots, a wide assortment of booties because snow. Four puffers. One Alpaca wrap, one camel wrap, both lined. One maxi lined leather for fancy occasions. It's expensive here in the winter what with coats, hats, gloves, scarves, footwear!!!
You're Canadian but you can't wear high-neck sweaters? Isn't that a major problem?
@@edennis8578 I made it to 71. So far, so good.
❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾👍
👍🏼❤
WOW thank you for wearing this lovely blouse!
black wool coat, camel wool coat, black jean, skinny blue jean, off white oversized turtleneck sweater, black boots, white trainers, black blazer, white long sleeve button down collar shirt, gold earrings so many more lol but you said 10 😁
You counted two wool coats. She meant to choose a color. I don't think she meant that the jewelry would be counted in the ten. She uses handwritten labels in the video for each of the ten. Wool coat, puffer, turtleneck sweater, crewneck, cardigan, skinny jeans, tall boots, ankle boots, scarf+gloves. I think the scarves and gloves counted as two.
@@edennis8578 hahaheeee…thank you for taking the time to point all of that out. please get a good nights sleep 😂
