Great interview, Joe! I always enjoy watching Dave's videos and his laid-back style really works for him. Was able to enjoy this in the AM with a cup of coffee. I run both mag and non-mag, as Dave mentioned, if you run non-mag you're gonna spend more $ on parts when tuning, since you create a new set of challenges for yourself. A lot of it also depends on your track. The "fun" factor is all subjective; different people enjoy the hobby in different ways. Thanks for posting!
Thanks a ton Mark. At this point in the game I'm still testing the waters as to what I like vs what more I could be getting as "entertainment" out of the track and cars. It's all part of the fun. :)

I got blindsided by that question HAHA but ultimately a bigger shed means more track which means more fun with all the cars I've already got and any more I would then buy :)

Learn something new every video. 👍 You should get an Evolution set off marketplace so you can swap out a few pieces and try analog. It’s what I do. Takes about 15 minutes for the change as long as your set isn’t fastened down.

Great conversation. I am just getting into 1:32 with a Carrera track. I used to have some 1:32 but mostly HO scale back in the 60’s and 70’s. I probably went overboard buying cars. NSR, Slotit, SCX, and Carrera cars. I have been watching a lot of videos to come up with the layout I want to use. That has morphed into a whole new project when I started researching the way actual racing lines relate to an actual race track layout. There will be a lot of modified track pieces. lol
Well I started buying the line up for the 1970-1971 LeMans. I have 3 Carrera 917Ks, 2 NSR 917Ks, 2 Slotit Ferrari 512s, 2 Fly Ferrari 512 S. That’s just that category. I am working on a GT group also. I won’t convert all to digital. I have a few wood tracks I can go to within a couple of hours travel. I am in Eastern WA.

Thanks for the invite. I will shortly. One thing I liked about Dave’s comments. Advanced cars require a different approach. The track will determine the setup. The options are many. A very big difference between Carrera, Slotit and NSR to name a few. Slotit and NSR have more canned options. I probably spent the cost of 2 more cars just building up a parts inventory. Anyway I have been looking for a group of like be minded individuals to share the journey.
10x more fun no magnets, your not really in control of the car with magnets its you and the magnets remove the magnets and take full control, definitly makes you concentrate more on what the car is doing that is masked by the magnet.
