The letters got lost. Too much intricate details and decorations. Great idea of using thinner carton for the sides.
Hey, I appreciate the feedback. :) I wanted to focus mostly on the construction of the 3d letters, but didn't want to leave people completely stranded when it came to designing the letters. Had a hard time finding the balance between getting the idea across but not actually including instructions for the whole alphabet and making the whole video way too long haha

What’s the measurements of your outer lines to the A as I just can’t get it right x
Thanks for the question! Here's an explanation with the measurements I used.
First I started with an 8" x 12" rectangle so I could line everything up inside it. Then along the top edge, I marked 2" in from each corner. I then connected the left 2" mark at the top to the bottom left corner of my rectangle, and connected the right 2" mark at the top to the bottom right corner of my rectangle. This will create the left and right outer edges of the A.
Next, we need to create the inside edges of each leg of the A. Along the bottom edge of the rectangle, I measured and marked 2.5" to the right of the bottom left corner. Then, I went to the top left corner of my A (not the top left corner of the rectangle) and measured and marked 2.5" to the right along the top edge of the rectangle. Then, I connected the mark along the bottom edge of the rectangle to the mark on the top edge of the rectangle. Repeat this to create the inside edge of the right leg: measure 2.5" to the left of the bottom right corner of the rectangle, measure 2.5" to the left of the top right corner of the letter A, and connect the two marks.
At this point, you should end up with what looks like an upside down letter V. To finish the A, you need to draw two horizontal lines to create the cross piece of the letter A. I measured approximately 6" down from the top of the rectangle for the fist horizontal line, and approximately 2.5" down from that line to draw the bottom horizontal line. At this point, you should end up with the letter A!
Hopefully this explanation makes sense. 😄 If you get stuck at any point with this project, drop another comment and I'll try my best to help!
@@CraftersAutonomous perfect !! I’ve done it and it’s turned out perfect! Thank you so much!!!!!

talks too quickly
Sorry if you're having trouble following along! Fortunately, UA-cam has the option to play videos at a slower speed. That might help if you're still interested in watching the video.
Everyone shows us how they made straight letters. No one shows how to cut round ones neatly. Fourth video now. Great work though
There's really no secret to the curved parts, just need a bit of patience because that part can get tedious! I used the X-acto knife to cut the curve shape and then cleaned up the edge with scissors. Another option is to cut several very short straight lines at slightly different angles with the knife and then trim the corners with scissors to round out all the little lines. Hope this helps!
Thanks for sharing so easy to do
Glad you enjoyed this tutorial!
This is such a cool idea, thank you!🧶😊
Glad you like the project! ❤️
