Enjoyed watching this lady make these projects. A few pieces of scrap corrugated cardboard, some fabric and decorative rope, etc and she has some nice storage containers for small items. By the way, l'm a guy but l enjoy seeing people make things out of stuff that would normally be thrown away. My wife used to do things like this, wish she still did. There is a lot of pride in "l did it myself."
Would make a nice gift, fill it with bath items..Thanks for the idea
.😊
Very good ideas

You would be surprised how well paper craft holds up
See...everything that she touches turns to gold..
Always amazed and wowed❤❤
I like the first basket. I love paper crafting. I make junk journals. Those baskets would be nice to hold some small to medium journals.
Great ideas for old cloth and cardboard. There is also a video
about a cardboard desktop
organizer with small drawers.
Used for dry organization…of course not used for wet items. Good designs😇
Thanks so much! This sheds a whole new light on those 15 Amazon boxes scattered around the great room that the cats use for rotating beds! Already have an idea and an afternoon Hobby Lobby visit planned. 🙂
Very impressed!! You took stuff that would have ended in a landfill, and made it into stuff that’s useful! Nice work!
Udterty
Most places usually recycle cardboard. Atleast many places on the eastern coast. I do agree, it is a nice way to upcycle(?) /recycle it though.
Cardboard makes a great weed barrier vs the plastic mesh stuff you buy. The cardboard takes a long time to biodegrade but it's the best for weeds. I found it helps too for ground cover in the garden vs mulch.
Yo cojo cajas q los grandes almacenes tirarían las desago y algo cosas como estás y así no llenamos el planeta de tanta basura
@@frankieberry Actually cardboad that stays moist and cannot be dried by sun and wind (so covered by mulch or IN the soil is eaten quite fast. And I mean "eaten" literally. The critters in the soil (like earth worms) eat it and like it. Same in compost heaps. On the other hand if the carton is above ground and maybe vertical it is surprising how well it holds up even during winter and rain. As long as it can dry. We used carton stripes as provisory borders for garden beds until we knew what we wanted to do. (which is good because we changed our plans how we would create the borders).
The stripes are partiall in soil and there is a fow of branches that support the carton - as the hold the weight of soil that is maybe 12 cm (4,8 inches) higher than ground. The carton stripe could never hold that weight, but the rows of branches do. (they are also partially in the soil and all end at the same height. We used strips of brown carton (no print) that was folded double (so the stripe had double width and then was folded in half - from 40 cm to 20 cm wide. For the length we had to use several stripes, they overlapp for stability.
We still have one bed in an obscure area of the garden that we secured that way. 1,5 years and probably still intact. Haven't put on the wellies and braved the winter rains and cold temps (just above freezing) to see if it is still standing ;) But it was a fast and no cost method to secure something.
Carton for weed suppression is used in (permaculture) gardening, resp. in no dig gardening.
When a piece of land is prepared for the first time or when there are a lot of weeds. The double cardboard layer (layers overlapping !) must be covered by mulch, it suppresses light for a while and thus grass (from a lawn) and a lot of weeds die off. The cardboard (or thick newspaper layer) will rot (it should be gone within one year in any climate zone) but within 1 - 2 months t the dying offof unwanted vegetation has happened, and the soil critters take care of the dead roots and other bio mass.
However here are many weeds that creep in from underground, or weeds that are very hardy - but in general it is a good way to get started.
One problem is that the paper / carton is recycled. And that means some adverse chemicals (even heavy metals) could be in it. In Europe the colours for newspapers and cartons are soy based, they are not the problem. Only the "cheap" non-glossy paper / carton can be used. The glossy stuff has been sprayed (with a kind of laquer), the finish is often used for high end magazine, for the top layer of better cartons * or the paper for the covers. Those are not suited for garden.
If you buy a vacuum cleaner for instance of a food processor chances are the top surface of the carton will have such a shiny finish. If the carton gets wet one can remove ths layer, it dries and goes into the garbabe the rest could be used for weed suppression. It is the matte brown carton.
But discretion has to be used when using carton / newspaper in the garden.
Some people would not use it at all because of the chemicals necessary to recycle paper. People that sell their produce as organic might hesistate. Most gardeners (organic claim or not) think it is not a problem if used once. One cannot add the paper and carton to the compost on a regular base, that would accumulate whatever is problematic.
I watch the channel of an organic gardener in the UK. Charles Dowding: He uses the black tarpaulines (likely PVC or maybe Polyethylen) OR carton for weed suppresion (smaller areas) and for preparing a lot to become a garden. He does NO DIG gardening, so he does not dig up the area in autumn, he does not even dig it up when he starts from lawn or from an uncared for former garden. No I can see how one would dig for the first time and from then on do no dig and not upset soil life anymore and let it do its magic. Weed suppression by carton or bought covers might be part of getting started.
Charles Dowding also uses black sheets (covers) for weed suppression, he used those when he bought a plot of land next to his market garden. Likely it is a matter of time (having to find so much carton in a short time and having to put it out). The new place was a wilderness. Rabbits, weeds and what not. Of course he has high quality covers, so I guess they might last him several years.
That would be great for Mother’s Day or a ladies birthday with bath supplies
Lindíssima, amei vou fazer, muito obrigada ❤que Deus continue abençoando você
Very creative. My 2 year old granddaughter loved watching the process!
You are a clever, creative, and talented person. Thank you for taking the time to create and share with us. Have a gloriously beautiful day!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Amei essas sugestões!
Ficaram lindas. Parabéns vou fazer , pois estou precisando para por meus potinhos de hidrantes e outras coizitas mais. Gratidão!❤
I like this a lot? Every time I have a gift to give, I have to look for a fitting box, for wrapping paper - and that will be thrown away. The basket no 2 especially I could make in any shape or size that I need. Great 👍
Love this beautiful way to make good use of all that cardboard that comes into my house. I can only use so much in my garden in Thanks for sharing this video & idea!
Thank you for the verses you put up first. I appreciate them as they are a good reminder in my daily life.
These are sooo nice!!! Thank you for showing us how to turn simple boxes into gorgeous storage
The 2nd design would make a really pretty and beautiful easter basket(like for easter egg hunts). 11:18
I really like the second basket that you created with using the rope and popsicle sticks! did you use 17 sticks? what type of rope did you use?
did you ever figure out what type of rope was used? it would have been nice had some of those items been linked in the video.
it looked like braided jute
Such an amazing gift continue the work God has blessed you to do
All of your baskets are so beautiful and so unique. Thank you for sharing.
What you can do with common everyday items, love it.
These are such adorable ideas! Seems pretty easy, as well. You gave me ideas not only for baskets, but small tables and tier trays as well!❤❤❤
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊.😊.😊😊😊😊😊😊
We have so many cardboard boxes from deliveries.
A good many are going in my mom's flower beds. They keep weeds from taking over.
We have plenty left for crafts.
I can think of a few things I'd like to make.
Like my own Easter baskets instead of paying the high price for them.
Inflation sucks. But, it does do one good thing:
Gets my creative juices flowing a lot more. Makes me even more resourceful.
What can I make that I can use but not pay a fortune for from a store?
You might want to try covering the cardboard in these with laser foil gift wrap (from dollar stores) you can stick it on with glue stick.
Those baskets are really beautiful.
This basket is different but I like it for it's rustic look.
The fabric on the first project was absolutely gorgeous❣️❣️❣️ Great basket too!
I made a sewing box for my mother when I was in my late teens. I used a cardboard box from something someone in the family had bought. I thought it was such a sturdy box and I loved that the lid was a self hinged one by the cardboard. I felt I had to make something out of it. 🤔hmm, what and how.
With no pattern at all, I lined the inside with fabric, cut some straight pieces of cardboard from another box to make dividers. Covered those with fabric too. Glued them in place. Covered the outside of the box with some polyester stuffing, then covered the whole outside with a beautiful floral cotton and hand sewed every single edge to make it sturdier, avoid using glue, and keep it aesthetically pleasing, outside and inside, including along the top of the dividers. I was so proud of myself and my mother loved it. She could not believe I had no pattern! I cannot believe I had such patience. That was the one and only sewing box I ever made.🤣
Seeing you making your beautiful floral lined basket reminded me of that gift I made my mother so veeeery long ago.
I love seeing people’s creative repurposing of what otherwise would end up in landfills.
Thank you for sharing your project and bringing back a happy memory.😉❤️
very pretty! I love your opening! Glorifying Adonai should always be the first thing we do. Thank you for sharing that!
Cute! I love upcycling with cardboard and plastic.
I envy your talent!!! How do you come up with these ideas? I liked them all, but the first one is my favorite💐💐💐
All 3 items are gorgeous.
I like the purple flowers on the fabric very pretty.....
These were all absolutely beautiful. Thank you for the ideas.

Pvc bookbinding glue is way better. Dries very fast, doesnt crack or yellow when aging. Would have a way better hold on that fabric without the worry of hot days melting the glue again, lol. A d you wouldn't have to worry about glue lines bulging under the fabric. Or occasionally burning yourself.
The basket is gorgeous!
Muito fofo 💜 eu amei ❤️🤩
Arte magnífica. Parabéns.
These are awesome! I have to try them all! Thank you for sharing!
Amazing designs out of what would normally end up in recycle. Would never have thought of this. Thank you for sharing. Definitely going to give it a try.
I find the cardboard craft basket helpful for one reason-the design could be easily converted to make pretty hat boxes if you add a lid, in whatever design that you personal like. I’m a dress/stockings/heels/curled hair/pretty hats-vintage glamour kind of woman, and I have hats. What I don’t have is a good way (read attractive) way to store them dust free. I’d forgo the cardboard exposed exterior and likely stick to fabric and quality trimmings, but it could really work for that. And I’d probably experiment with using fabric mod podge instead as the glue for the fabric by the yard. You can feel the glue ridges all around using hot glue. Sometimes even see them upon close inspection. And sometimes hot glue doesn’t hold well long term. It’s brittle. The bond breaks and it falls apart.
These are budget friendly ideas. Apparently you are in the wrong place.
Yeah Martha Stewart doesn't live here
Where is your channel?🧐....
Really doesn't matter if it hold a long or not enjoy as long as you can just beautiful love it you are wonderful thanks again

These baskets are beautiful!!! Thank you 😊
These are super creative and absolutely stunning. What a wonderful way to reuse cardboard and make it useful and stunningly beautiful! Love them so much. ❤
Arts and crafts are a good way to
spend time with the children and
encourage creativity.
Easy recipes are also a way to
encourage creativity and build
skills. Enjoyable activities with the
children.
My mom used to make things out of cardboard in the 1960’s. She coated them with shellac then soaked the fabric in thin glue - the fabric stiffens. Cheaper than hot glue.
I love your baskets and really like the the metal-reinforced handles! I'm gathering materials right now to make several! Thank you!
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

It is so nice to read positive comments and it makes the crafter feel good too. My mom always told me if you cannot say something nice, do not say it at all. All of us crafters work very hard on our projects and try our very best we make things that are simple and budget friendly and the comments on these sites, the negative ones, do not need to be said at all. But, again it's so nice to read a pleasant one. ❤️
Amei muito linda e simples vou fazer pra minhas netinhos parabéns beijo ❤❤
Very nice craft from cardboard box. The basket made by brilliant lady is very beautiful; decorated by attractive printed Pampers
I'm loving your projects !! I'm so glad you popped on to my feed. ❤
I always keep boxes!! When my daughter was a baby I turned the diaper boxes into totes for my laundry room by simply painting them black and adding a label on the outside! Literally that’s what those totes we buy from Target/Walmart is…cardboard and fabric or just paint on top! Love this one video though and want to try it now!
They all look beautiful - well done!!
I love the basket. It’s gorgeous. I can’t believe you made it from cardboard
Such cute baskets with something we would just throw away. We'll done!!
