i did not see this! shame on me, it's super fun, thanks for sharing! as soon as i get an ipad m2 (for hover) I'll try some pixel art! love this process and the reference to old time video games!
Nice, thank you! Meanwhile you could try activating the grid at minimum size, which will allow you to see the pixel placements before painting, it’s pretty handy and works well if you don’t have the hover feature 😊
this is awesome, I can imaging creating tiles and sell them to game devs for them to build the world too or make a concept art for a game with this tiles, I assume is the same with platforming tiles, always wanted to know how to do it in procreate since is what I mainly use.
That’s totally possible. I’ve personally made an entire zombie apocalypse themed tileset, game devs can buy it on itch.io, and I can tell you that I have sold a few copies 😊
@@IttaiManero that's awesome! I am new to game dev and so far I can do most or all concept art in procreate, great to see this video, when I started trying to do pixel art on procreate, I am still new to pixel art and made a few sprites for a client but when I started there weren't helpful any videos like this one, most or all were made in different programs and had to translate them, glad to know that some artist can make some money just selling some tiles sets like this. :)
@@IttaiManero btw if I was to sell a tile set, do I have to provide characters with different poses and static animations, what do you require to summit?? will love to see a video about it one day.
@@LolixBelle I’m glad you found my video useful! The only thing I would say it is required for you to sell a tileset on itch.io would be to be completely honest about what is it that it contains and what can people expect about future updates. For example, in my zombie apocalypse tileset I made it very clear that what you saw in the preview images was all that it contained and that I wasn’t planning to expand on it. I made clear that my tileset didn’t contain any interior environments or things like that. I also mentioned in details everything that was included.

Could you include your reference grid for make tiles in your pixel art pack? Thanks
Hi! In this other tutorial you can see the method I used to do the grid: ua-cam.com/video/vwgacGe-ei0/v-deo.html It is so simple I think it is more useful if you do it yourself because then you can decide how many pixels tall and wide are the squares and do the grid exactly the size you want 😊 That said, maybe I’ll include some grids with a future update, but with that method you don’t need to wait.
Thanks! As I explain at the beginning of the video, each square in the grid is 10 by 10 pixels. Just make the canvas as big as you need for the amount of tiles you want to create.
Hi. I just came across your channel and found this video. I am so amazed by how you create the tile sets. what is the size for each grid? and what is the app you use to create the village, is it the same app where you draw the tile sets?
Hi. That's different. How to make 10 by 10 grid using procreate drawing guide. I am trying to make 1 inches by 1 inches grid with procreate 's drawing guide for mandala. Pls show us.
Hi, Manisha! Go to the Actions menu (the icon with a wrench on the top left), then go to Canvas, tap on Edit Drawing Guide, and there you will find the settings to set a 2D grid of any size you want. You can choose between pixels, centimeters, inches and so on 😊
@@IttaiManero I know that but there is no measurements in 2d grid, it is only slider to make grid bigger or smaller. So it is hard to guess how much small is 1 cm grid
@@manisha-colorcreativityartwork the slider number corresponds to the measurement you set. So if you set it to be in centimeters and you put the slider in 1, then each square in the grid will be 1 centimeter big.
Hi, you need to follow the steps detailed in my PDF guide book that’s included with both free or paid versions of this brush set for exporting crisp high res pixel art made in Procreate
I love it ! Thanks for the tutorial
Thanks! My pleasure! 😊
