This is wild. I consume dozens of hours of league content on UA-cam per week, and have never been recommended this channel. Thanks for posting your link on summoner school. This video is very informative and well edited.
I'm always eager for more of your content. Very helpful and informative. I've learned more from just a few of your videos than I have from many coaching sessions, educational services, and hours of other youtube content. You are a truly valuable LoL educator and I would pay to have more!
Wow I’m so happy to hear that 😭. I’ve been struggling a bit with working/streaming/editing but I promise more videos to come. Reading this really made my day. Thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoy/are learning from the videos!!
your videos are a life saver. i've had to learn support from randoms in discord servers but your content just gives it all to me from one guy! so nice to finally have a coach curtis styled channel for support
Honesty this video is the best support guide that is out there on UA-cam. League of Legends is a difficult game and honestly this is a great introduction to support. Even after playing League for almost a decade, I still learned something new.
I just came across this video. Your style of guiding us through the macros is so digestible and I absolutely love it. I know this video is somewhat old but I hope your future content has a lot of educational videos too!
as always very insightful, thank u! im a master support player and the amount of ppl in my lobbies who don’t understand a lot of these concepts surprise me let me send then this video 😍
Im new to league...and this is the first video i found and watched and everyone in the comments is saying this is the best video they have seen. Must have been lucky or im about to be a menace in this game
Roaming, especially in low-ELO is kind of a trade-off in getting my jungler/mid ahead but my ADC falling behind. Get prio and roam: Your ADC gets caught and dies. Leave him under your tower: Your ADC gets dove and dies.
Men… as a Main adc is so frustrating to have a terrible support no matter the elo. I am currently in silver elo. And i want to enjoy playing the game but When your support tries to take your minnions or only wants to push without thinking it sucks. Thank you for the guide. Super informative to know what does a Good support do. Maybe i will change to support in the meantime to understand the botlane better, and to get to the point where i can play a decent match as an adc.
This video is very very useful, but idk if this is just a me problem but it goes very fast and you move onto the next topic before I can even grasp what you were talking about in the first place. I could just rewatch it but I would appreciate it if you can take more time to explain certain concepts before you talk about the next one. I know this video has a lot of information so it would pad the runtime by a lot but I think it would be worth it if people can understand better.
Like for example you say "this is a mistake" or "you should do this" but you don't really explain why it's an ideal play or a mistake and it's hard to understand without the reasoning
As a Lucian player I see a similar phenomena where people will first time Nami even when I tell them play what they’re comfortable with. Like, Lucian Nami is OP whenever I duo but as a solo as long as they know what the support is doing usually Lucian pairs well enough lol
it seems unbelievable to me that for recall timing you did not mention that when you kill the enemy or push a wave under tower it is imperative to recall when the cannon wave is between the inhibitor and t2 towers: if you do not, the wave will bounce back with the enemy pushing, and you will lose a full wave, and potentially one or two plates. This is because if the next incoming wave is a cannon, it will be slower for them to shove it, and when it reaches your tower, their cannon will take aggro priority, and it will take much longer for the tower to kill it, hence, you will be in time to come back and collect the full wave, losing max one minion.
Nice video although I think most people know these concepts in general. Would be nice to have in depth video on each specific macro point with practical examples of right and wrong play. One question I have is last game was playing as melee vs heimer jhin who perma push with 3 turrets down and we absolutely cannot do anything, moving forward from tower is impossible, they dive and adc is so behind . What can you do in this case as solo q?
Every video, I like to be inclusive to those that are starting the role/may not be as high of a rank. To answer your question, if you play against a heimer, you always want to deny him setting up his turrets level 1. Go to bot lane when the game starts and break all of his turrets. If you are a melee support, your goal is to look to all in heimer. Try to avoid taking any trades in lane so that way you will have a higher chance/more opportunities to look
It feels like the only viable supports are passive supports. This is because the jungler literally always starts bot side in my games. So our bot is always weaksided. So we can never try to make aggro plays. Do you have any advice for this feeling?
Miss Sho when do you think it's a good idea to go for level 1 bush ward in botlane and then back for sweepers, I've been doing that quite often these days, but I feel like there are times when it is more effective than others.
I think its fine to do it everytime. There's a lot of mind games you can do if you know that the other enemy support is doing the same thing. If you and the enemy support move when the game starts and meet each other at the bot bush (😳), you should not drop a ward so that they dont get the exp/gold from clearing it. Also if you're playing a ranged support into melee, you want to ward the bush closest to the enemy turret because you will push them out harder since you will have prio to level 2. I can explain this more in depth on stream.
hey, nitpicking on a vid 10 months ago, no ill will meant. i think i'm noticing you say Elo like an acronym - its actually named after a person! Arpad Elo, a hungarian chessmaster who innovated the rating system named after him. The correct pronunciation is something like ae-lew (ua-cam.com/video/Y6hrljjvK6A/v-deo.html), but most people in english spaces i see just say ee-low. again, no ill will meant - i also spent a long time under the assumption Elo was an acronym for something. hope this is useful!
sadly support role is so irrelevant in league, being good at it is totally useless as a matter of fact, as a main supp, i had to roleswap and abuse jg role just to get to d4, then roleswapped back and get to master

This comment made me subscribe ❤️
most herbivore comment ive ever seen, how is it a flex for someone to say i consume hours of league content lol
No bullshit guides are always my favorite. Focus on yourself and not your teamates.
i hate youtube for not recommending your videos, such an underrated channel. keep up with the good content!
Thank you 😭😭

Happy to hear that! This is exactly how I envisioned this channel, so im super stoked you are learning a lot! :)
Been looking for a support player that actually give valuable information, and just stumble on your channel finally
You explained so well, honestly this is the best video I ever seen to supports
Great video!! Laning phase is the most important part of the game, especially for climbing consistently

Learned more in 10 minutes than I have playing for 7 years. smile
Wow the quality jumps every video, thanks for clearly explaining it !!
I am learning support and this series is incredibly informative.
Happy to hear that :)

finally an USEFUL guide for supports! well done
Oh damn it's Saber at 3:27, didn't think I'd see him around
awesome content as always!

@@ShoDesu Thanks ! I can't wait

this is better htan those famous league yt channels explaining things
Great video!

when should i help my adc take plates and the gold compared to when i should let them take the full gold
Honestly for solo queue you should just take the plate. Most adcs are bad until grandmaster/challenger.
thanks for the help @@ShoDesu

SHODESU VIDEO ONLY 2 WEEKS LATE !!!11!!??
Very nice vid much input
huge video thanks
very nice video
Are these guides still good even when map changed.. New Support item etc?
Thank you

Do you have any advice for this feeling?
What can you do if your teammates aren't making any of the plays that you're setting up and seeing?
Premade with a jungler / mid laner
You forget one thing in low elo you get spam pinged and flamed by your adc if you go near his minions xD but for real great stuff :)
ermagawd I love Sho
@ShoDesu at 5:20 how did you make that ?

Dang I wish I can play Janna as well as you
what janna skin is that
Obrigado.
oh shit its saber!
6:55 Top laner will carry? Meanwhile in my games jungle top premade both feed enemy toplaner
Amém.
