1. All of them runs on batteries 2. This train is the first city passenger train without a mold nose 3. And this train has the biggest cars that could be used for freight trains too This is the best city passenger train ever imo
Looks a bit like they partly modeled this one after a Japanese Shinkansen. The faster models tend to have longer noses that are shaped to reduce the 'sonic boom' that happens when the lead car enters or exits a tunnel. Engineers apparently studied species of kingfisher birds to help develop the shape. The split in the front curve of the nose also emulates the real thing, since there is an aerodynamic cover that splits in two to reveal the coupler. Even still, I think Lego could have done a better job of emulating the shape but that's probably why they look the way they do.
Feel like that is becoming the norm for Lego channels that are reviewing sets. Its complaining about studs showing, stickers, and piece count per price. And all their solutions would just make the price go up do to increased pieces, increase molds, increasing pad printing usage. None of which stops me from buying Legos, I enjoy stickers, and studs make it feel more like a Lego set than a normal model.
Honestly this is one of my favorite train designs that Lego has put out, especially in recent years. Absolutely love that it draws inspiration from the Shinkansens with the angular design of the engine car, and its a very good color scheme as well. Also, you can easily take all those tracks out of the stack by pulling on the bottom-most rail, the one that has the base of the poles visible! I learned that trick after buying a second one to have a full-length train and create a track that runs around the floor of my bedroom...
Dude i can really tell you haven't ever had a single train after the 9v era cuz trains have always had batteries, they've always had that easily accessible compartment, etc.
I can also tell he's making pointless excuses and complaints, like complaining about the train breaking sound (which is really neat) when you could just turn your volume off :| Or the battery thing, as many people have said all lego trains (Aside from the special 9 volt era) have had batteries its nothing new
You can use the track connectors to be train stoppers. Really hard to budge it open with a train (I couldn't do it with max power). Also, fun fact: You can change the controller's color by clicking on the train button.
i don’t think this is the worst, far from it. i like how the designers built the front with normal pieces instead of using one big piece like they have done on many other city trains. cant argue with the battery part, 9v area was superior
It actually seemed like you really liked it! And thanks for showing the programming side I had no idea! I'm gonna have to try it. I agree the nose looks bad but overall it's one of the best, the tinted windows are great. The extra straight tracks I believe are because the train is advertised as being fast and a single loop would derail at max speed - it can still derail even with the full set. The curves on the edges aren't good enough for the carriages not touching btw, if you try elevate any track build with a turn they will touch each other. Try get energizer rechargeable AAA's, I did just for these sets and I tested them vs dispensable premium Duracell AAA and they measured up well, max speed is still reached even with the slightly less voltage.
That's a neat train, but sheesh it costs a lot! I'd have to buy two of them because it doesn't look quite right with just the one (real high speed trains have a loco at each end).
I do think the 9 v system is much better because of not having batteries go flat every few hours. But they could have the best of both worlds, bring back 9v powered track with the big yellow dial that plugs into the wall, but with either an integrated DCC system or Bluetooth to send control signals to any number of trains. But still, even if they chose not to do that I still much prefer the 9v system with it's big control dial and infinite full power. Batteries suck!
Rechargeable battery's would be good and convenient but they use I lot of colbult witch is very bad for the environment when it gets minded. Great video though
Honestly, one experiment I want to do is combining remote control systems and the 9v system. There's a guy (also on UA-cam) called Bevin's Bricks, and he sells metal wheeled power pickup accessories with Power Functions wire attachments. It's a possibility, not sure if it'll work, but I may be able to set something up that has the metal wheels to draw power from the track into the engine, and have some sort of switch similar to the Powered Up battery box/hub that pairs with the controller to only let the power slow when I press the controller buttons.
The powered tracks had issues because you had to build a close loop and avoid shortcuts while laying tracks, that's why they moved back to battery powered trains. But when the tracks was powered you still could battery power the trains if you wanted to, but then without control. Also the powered tracks kind of degrade over time making it harder to make a complete circuit between the tracks.
It's my mum's phone and it's not a ugly train it's the coolest train of ever seen in my life plus there's so much are speed on it like any train ever had I can keep going you know like this is the coolest train it's so dynamic that has two whole carts like how many cards can a train have I don't know
The doors on mine don't stay closed, every time the train goes around a corner they swing open! The Powered Up Bluetooth also has problems in crowded environments (like model train shows) as all the interference from other people's phones reduces the range to only a couple feet! Power Functions had its issues too, requiring line of sight and limited range, but at least the trains didn't stop if they lost connection.
I actually think the ability to use replaceable AAA batteries is probably better for the environment assuming users use replaceable batteries. Having user replaceable batteries makes it easier to keep the rest of the product working for longer. Convenience does degrade by using AAA but it’s kind of like the Xbox vs PlayStation controller debate.
Almost nobody ever uses rechargeable batteries.... so they hit the dump 90-% of the time. 9v is a hundred times more green than any other type of modern Lego trains. Plus very versatile and can be used with PF motors and Blue-Tooth if wired right. No need to replace batteries is more affordable to enjoy it!
With the same green 2022 Lego passenger train i changed my to a red color the same way Mini fig jez did in one of his videos since the large front slope pieces only come in 3 colors currently

I actually think that having a single locomotive is a plus. You can buy two and combine them into a single long realistic train. Having two locos and one wagon is making this process a lot harder.
@jayspeer That’s very true, but Lego sets these days are very expensive anyway, and two entire train sets with all that track and electronics would be pricey...

Recently I had gotten the technic garbage truck an it was missing the sticker sheet lol... had to order one from lego. Edit: It appears the train runs on 9 volts and each battery is 1.5 volts. Also the remote appears to be 6 volts.
personally even though this train is great ,well for me anyway, its got the nose problem its not the curved pieces and angle or what not but its the windshield piece they used I think it would've been better if they made a new mod so it would align with the side of the nose front, but thats just my opinion.
Only thing i don't like is the green colour(would prefer the acid green to have been dark blue with that green as accent/line or better dark red) and the price
Disagree the new Lego City Powerd Up works much better than both 9v and power functions in practice but has its flaws 9v you do need a lot of power stations to keep a big layout supplied power functions you have to be directly on top of it. The set itself is solid first time in a long while lego made a brick-built cab design and I would only make one or two small changes to the coaches. You can combine 9v and power functions I took my own train small steam engine and tender and gave it Powerd Up lights and motor it has a controller and works very well on big layouts i use rechargeable batteries for saving money
I got 4 Lego trains in the past 1,5 year and actually liked this one (the 60336 is still the best). The last train I got was the 60197... didn't really like that one, boring build.
I thing next evolution RC trains will be Wi-fi, i dont know how much wi-fi take then bluetooth, but Wi-fi gets new revision, long distance, small power usage (dont drain phone batery too quickly). But when we get Wi-fi or betther solution for motors or batery box is in the stars. RC Tracks are basic, only 1 inresting part is retaired and second hand market cost 1 kidney.

personally even though this train is great ,well for me anyway, its got the nose problem its not the curved pieces and angle or what not but its the windshield piece they used I think it would've been better if they made a new mod so it would align with the side of the nose front, but thats just my opinion.
my pov who has nerver seen a real lego set: cool
Biggest flaws this set has are the carriage designs and the nose to body ratio on the locomotive
No it's not ugly I like it❤ How could you say it's ugly What's wrong with you!!???🤬😡👎🖕 I love the train❤😁👍
It's called an... ✨OPINION✨

Only thing i don't like is the green colour(would prefer the acid green to have been dark blue with that green as accent/line or better dark red) and the price
“This is the hub” 💀💀💀💀💀💀
Are you trying to get top comment or what?
the controller stays charged for longer, so 10 batteries are fine
Don’t they all run off battery’s?
Well all the Morden ones
Yeah, all the modern ones do, but back in the day they made ones that plugged right into the wall and didn't use any batteries.
@@brickstudiosYTdang
@@brickstudiosYTactully the 4,5v runned on batteries and its a series from 60-80
@@BrickMasterPoland Yeah, the very first powered Lego trains used batteries
Every Lego train runs on batteries how was not bad
I just prefer being able to plug them into the wall rather than running on batteries.
6:36 Lego doesn’t need to have a f*** metal bar! The damage that u showed is unfortunate because Lego f***ed this up.
That’s like the coolest tree I think
What is the app name so you can control it from your phone?
LEGO Powered Up Application
Disagree the new Lego City Powerd Up works much better than both 9v and power functions in practice but has its flaws 9v you do need a lot of power stations to keep a big layout supplied power functions you have to be directly on top of it. The set itself is solid first time in a long while lego made a brick-built cab design and I would only make one or two small changes to the coaches. You can combine 9v and power functions I took my own train small steam engine and tender and gave it Powerd Up lights and motor it has a controller and works very well on big layouts i use rechargeable batteries for saving money
It’s not that gross to me it just doesent matter what the front looks like
I mean if you are displaying it, then it kind of does matter. But we all have different tastes and i personally like the train
Leto should have given more track for that very large train. The track look very small for the train size.
This is more track than any other Lego train set has included. Usually we're only given a circle or small oval...
@@InventorZahran Yeah, this set does come with more tracks than usual, but it's still not that much 😂
Bro, can you complain less? It's a decent set for those of us who want/own it. In the words of a famous outlaw: "Keep your opinions to your self"
Because what? U dont like it, dont watch it, simple! This train is worst train lego ever made.
I got 4 Lego trains in the past 1,5 year and actually liked this one (the 60336 is still the best). The last train I got was the 60197... didn't really like that one, boring build.
ima buy a 9 volt train and some other new lego trains and see how they work
Why dont they add rechargeable battery boxes instead of having like 6 aaa batteries
Nice video, also in my opinion this lego train is the worst even if only with the front grille. But other lego trains I like 💚 Even the original ones
