🙂↕️ 🙏 This vid and music bring back memories from 8 years ago when i first started training and watching these vids religiously on the daily! Thanks again brother Sakan 🙏
Hello, Sakan. Best regards from Moscow. Nice warming up exercises. We don’t do these ones. There are a lot of funs of Kali in Russia. I am one of them.
Hi Ken, thank you for your compliment. I learned from my teacher, Sifu Quan, and his lineage is from the Inosanto Academy. It is definitely influenced from Doce Pares, among other styles.
@@MartialMasculine wow very beautiful. I am from cebu philippines and Dionesia Canete is my GM from docepares... It is really heartwarming to see the world wide spread of our humble martial art... We really thank you for promoting Kali, Arnis... We wish you all the best brother....
@@triskelionkilla7255 I'm so grateful to have your kind support from the motherland. It's my wish to one day travel to Cebu and train with the great masters! Thank you and blessings!!
You're right. At the bottom of the video next to the "rectangle" for theater mode is a "gear" symbol for "Settings". You can reduce or increase the speed that the video plays. You can reduce it to half speed or, even, quarter speed.
arkham666 Perhaps I'll make an online Kali tutorial some day. The first video would be a warm-up like this. In the meantime, slow the video down to .75 speed and follow along best you can!
Sakan Lam thanks man. All things being well I'll be coming out to train with you next year (I sent you an email about this a couple of weeks ago) so if all else fails we can go through it together then.
Charles Little Definitely a spiritual journey for me. Been about 4 years of practice, but I had Shaolin Kung Fu prior to that. Thanks for your kind words btw!
Hello, Sakan. One more time best regards from Igor. Is there any possibility to contact with You except You tube? Is it possible to get video exercises from You? Thanks
Igor Rybkin Hello Igor. We can always talk via Facebook. I'm busy taking care of my 2 year old daughter now so not much time for video lessons at the moment. Once I have free time, then sure!
Nothing Meek Thanks for the comment brother! Kali is an incredibly diverse art (as is Kung Fu) and involves a ton more than just stick work. I'm not sure of the weight of my rattan sticks, but they are quite light. I always aim for 28" in length... that gives me enough to choke up on the stick to have a punyo (butt-end). Take care!
+Rafik Samman These sticks I had made by a rattan furniture maker in Thailand, then I wrapped the ends with electrical tape to prevent them from splintering. You can find the best and most stylish from Smoking Sticks Arnis online! Hope you enjoy your training!

Can you do a video on how to do these warm up exercises, in slow motion of course for beginners?
If I have the time, I'll do it for sure. In the mean time you can slow down the video and try to mimic the movements!

Yeah for sure, would be awesome to have you over for some intensive training. Looking forward to it!
What is this soundtrack you are playing? It is perfect for warm-ups and I would love to play it in my gym.
Darth Thanos Song is from the game Two Worlds 2. Track is called 'The Golden Cliff'.
Awesome. Thanks for getting back to me so fast. Love your vids! Keep up the great work.
Darth Thanos Happy to hear that my friend. Best of luck in training!
What's the different between Kali and sinawali?
Kali is the name of the martial art. Sinawali is the name of the double stick weaving technique. Thanks for watching!
+Sakan Lam Thanks! subbed

I have been wanting to get into the Kali sticks lately! Nice work! What size and weight are the sticks you use?
