    I also love to use mine on my face and ears ,resting each side of my face on my mat .Also too on my tail bone .Top of ones head ,right on the crown chakra is brilliant for relaxation and hair growth .Simply place the crown of your head on the mat ,as if about to go into head stand , only omit an actual head stand .

    The mat knocks me out it’s great. However, when I use it during the day I have no energy left. Therefore, I recommend it before bed with meditation and you will sleep like a baby 👌

    Thank you Aprille - I have one (mat only) that I use with my chi machine but never thought about how to use this in other ways. I will look into the pillow now. Another incredible innovative idea for us. ❤️❤️

      Glad I could help! Very true - not many out there! In fact I think you are the 3rd ever I have met : ) Choose one that isn't too expensive (around the $20-30 mark) and I think you will be surprised at how useful it is. In fact, I will be using mine later today to relieve some back pain.

    Hi Aprille, I wanted to ask you where you purchased your acupressure mat? Would you recommend getting one? Thanks for your help!

    • @YogaRangerStudio
      @YogaRangerStudio  6 років тому +2

      Hi Linda, I received one as a gift and the other came from Amazon.com. Most mats are pretty standard (some have more little spokes than others which I tend to like as it feels more comfortable to me). I think if you have chronic pain issues or insomnia, this is a great little investment. I have recommended them to several clients and they have had rave reviews. They can help release tension, soften the body and because the spokes get a little deeper into the skin, they stimulate the lymphatic system. Prices range from $20-125 depending on the company but I don't find that the higher price gets you much more : ) Having tried 3 of them - I don't see a huge difference really! Let me know if you have any other questions! (BTW, I use mine weekly - either in bed while reading/before sleep or for rolling out on tense areas). Peace, Aprille This is the one I use in this video - amzn.to/2L1L3xa

      I look for a couple of things - feel the spines and see if they are too sharp (I tend to like them a little less pointy and more soft rounded). How long is it and how wide? Will it cover your entire back? How many spines are on the mat (circles) and how many spines within each circle? Usually the label will say. More is often better as it distributes your weight more evenly across the multiple spines. You can Google Lens the brand to see comparisons and reviews on the internet as well. TJ Maxx and Marshalls often carry them at much lower prices if you have one of those near you : )

    I'm excited to start using this mat pillow combination and my question is how does one use it for help with sleep

    • @YogaRangerStudio
      @YogaRangerStudio  4 роки тому +2

      You can use it right before bedtime to relax the entire body. I don't suggest falling asleep on it but maybe sitting up with it or lying down on it right before bed will help release tension.

    • @petradenbleker8633

      I bought a mat and pillow yesterday. Before I went to bed I layed on it for about 10 minutes with a t-shirt on. When I got up, I felt very energized for a few minutes, then got very sleepy, went tot bed and slept for over 9 hours. I'm amazed how simple this is. So I think the best way to answer your question is, just do it and find out. How did you get on?

    My aunty 70 yrs+ had two spinal surgeries working mainly around L4/L5. Had replaced the screws & adjust the nerves around this area. The back pain came back again. Can this acupressure help ?

    • @YogaRangerStudio
      @YogaRangerStudio  4 роки тому

      It might. Acupressure helps release the tension in response to pain. For me, when I have pain, my muscles and body tense up and tighten up therefore causing more pain and the cycle continues. This helps you fully relax and my clients have had incredible results with back pain - feeling much better!

    Can I benefit from this as I have a very painful sciatica problem?

    • @YogaRangerStudio
      @YogaRangerStudio  4 роки тому +1

      If it's inflamed and super painful right now it might be better to rest it for a day or two then slowly integrate some stretches and the mat in.

      Yes... Helps with circulation, tension release and reduction in pain and stiffness post workout. These also work great for sleep if used right before bed.

    Do you have the official Shakti mat or a copy? I'm asking because I like saving money but I also like a quality product. I see a lot of copies on Amazon and I thought I would ask you about what you recommend

    • @YogaRangerStudio
      @YogaRangerStudio  3 роки тому +2

      I have 3 different ones and they aren't all that different (from 20-60 in price range). I did find the Shakti mat was a bit harder or more firm but that's probably the only difference for me. I do like the sets that offer the pillow too. Look for some good ones with high ratings and reviews under $35 and I think you can find some great ones there!
