Time to stab comfort h e h
I like how he said "stare at the failure straight in the eye" while the character is looking to me straight in the eye
Haha, oh no! You're not the failure! ~ Ashley
I've found it pretty mind boggling how many new youtubers Ive found after I started posting, like if you dig into a hobby a bit more you'll find these gigantic unexplored communities that do similar things to you and its just crazy! we live in such a powerful age.
Facts
Yeah, it's amazing how curiousity could really lead you to new places. Be curious enough and you'll find ways to learn. 😌
my end goal is to go insane from artistic obsession
Rachel Evans going insane isnt really fun. u will feel depressed and suicidal my nigga
@@himself9342 I love this fucking reply LMAO I find it so funny
The shyness point is helpful to people for sure! It reminds me of when I first started college. If I didn't go out of my way to make friends then I probably wouldn't have any as I came from far away and just had the freshest start. My thought process went like this: "if someone started talking to me, then I would talk back to them! It's just hard to be the one who talks first" so this made me realize that I had to be the person who talked first, because there had to be people like me who wanted to talk to others but was too shy to start. If they would look at me funny then I guess they weren't meant to be my friend. And, that's how I made a bunch of friends! Now, it just comes naturally to talk to others that I don't know. Sometimes I feel unsecure, but mostly, I run with this new personality I was able to develop for myself because that's who I like to be!
I am past 21 but I need a reminder on some of these lessons. Trying to get back the passion. Thanks!
that's ok! You can do it Aleksandra!
Wonder if you got back the passion...
I'm 21 years old and this helped me out alot!!! Very inspiring thank u:) all the best bobby
thank you Meka
me too)
Im still 18 I gotta wait for 3 years before I listen to this
I'm 27 right now and hearing this really enlightens me and reminds me why I never stopped drawing and dreaming of creating. I've always had my ups and downs and ruts thinking at times I've fallen way behind with art but the back of my mind always told me to keep going forward no matter how long it takes and hearing these words expressed through you gives me a huge boost to the momentum I'm gaining now especially with schoolism. I thought I'd never get into art school or anything but now I'm in and it only feels like a matter of time. Thanks!
This video might've saved my life. Thank you so much Bobby
I like your concept of muscle development & gym to struggling with Art after long neglect ; repetitive method is the only answer
Yes, you're right about that! ~ Ashley
I am 21 and just starting out in art, I often times feel like it's too late for me to get into art and feel lost on how to start but this video really spoke to me. Thank you very much!
look into drawabox.com
Gosh im speechless... It’s as if this video was ment for me or something! Being 21 and barely getting into the world of animation (litteraly im just learning how to draw) and being in community college for already 2 years i have felt like i haven't gotten anywhere with myself. And lately I have been putting myself down over the same questions . "Why do this? Aren't you to old? How will you pay the bills?can you take care of yourself and your family?" I am willing to go for this i dont know where ill end or how this will play out but i want to go for this. Thank you for making this video
Thank you. Never too old to keep learning!
Being 21 just starting my art career- this was just full of nuggets of gold that I am really going to remember and use. Can't wait to show my artist friends so they can use this to their advantage as well. People need to make more videos like this with specific and quality advice. Thanks! :)

I think the title should be for people in general and it mostly applies to everything not just art. Thanks for the wisdom, I think deep down most people should know this but have to hear it constantly to actually apply them so this is great for motivation been a fan for almost a decade.

This talk is awesome !! I would have like IT twice
Im 21 yeras old, and this video has helped me a lot thank you bobby, one of my biggest struggles is will power, i had exercised my will power in other things beginning small, and when i accomplished my goal, i though i had developed my will power, and when i tried to use it in a different task i couldn't get it to work, but now because of you video I realize willpower is not a whole, but its divided and not all tasks use the same kind of will power, just sharing this because it was really hard for me to get this... hahha thank you so much!!! ill begin small with this new task!
Thank you! Im so glad I found your channel!
This channel is absolute gold! :D Thanks for sharing this!
Wow, this came at such a perfect time. I'm 21, haven't watched your videos for almost a year now but this really spoke to me. Been feeling really stagnant about not just art, but life in general. Really motivational, thanks so much Bobby!
thank you Grace!
Thank you so much Bobby, your videos always help me a lot. Sometimes I getting myself down, think bad things about my drawings and think I'll never achieve my goals. They look so so far away sometimes. But your tips, livestreams and good vibes brought to me the confidence and the love for the process. I'm not 21, I'm 27 actually, but it help me in a way you can't imagine. Thank you!
Glad to hear Joviana!
Thanks as always for the awesome video! I'm already 28 and still struggling to make the kind of progress in my art that I need to become skilled at all, so I'll take all the advice I can get, even if it's for people younger and better than me! Staying positive is definitely the toughest of these for me, so it's good to have a reminder to try.
28 is still super young to go after your artistic dreams!
You are awesome man. Thank you for making this video!
Thank you, Bobby Chiu for posting this art talks and opening schoolism. These talks and classes have really help in my current dark state in life. Thank you for being the light in my moment of trial :)
Thank you so much for the kind message! :) ^nc
I wish I watched these three years ago. Before I came to my current living place in Louisville, KY. I was doodling and sketching all the time. Now I can't put a line on a blank page. I guess I need to look into what I really like to draw and stick with that. Even if it is copying, it is motivational to teach myself how to draw what I see.
As someone who recently turned 21 and is really struggling with figuring out how to keep going with my art & still finding out how I want to include art in my career, this video really really hit home. Thank you so much.
Thanks for your comment! If you love it, keep doing it! Best of luck :) - Nancy
Thank you very much Bobby!
I am a struggling artist and you have consistently been one of the strongest positive voices in my life. Thank you so much for putting out these very inspiring videos, you always get me pumped to get back to work!
thank you Dylan!
Oh, amazing, that question I was asking today. Thanks for video 🙏
When I attended art school way back when, our freshmen drawing class was 5 hours long. Same with our painting and sculpture classes. I found that it was really about halfway through the third hour that I got into the right headspace and felt myself fully immersed, fully present to the art, fully engaged, and working at the top of my abilities.
But yes, in drawing, we had short breaks every 20 minutes, longer breaks after 90 minutes and an hour for lunch. It would have been smart to follow this same pattern in our painting and sculpture classes, as well.
I'm a new artist and I need these tips in my life.. subbed!
i completely agree with this. I have a huge issue with not focusing and not drawing at the Higher level. So really this helps, im in schoolism and its been super great!
Thank you so much for these little plant people videos you have no ideas how much this has helped me !!!
Great motivation and so helpful, thank you Bobby. Much appreciated and very grateful for what you do!
thank you Steph!
Thanks for sharing! There's so much I would like to have know at that age, but I know I wasn't mature enough to had use that knowledge. Great advice!

Oh! I live in Toronto and every time I see the sketches on the TTC trains I always had wondered who the artists were. I learn something new every day. :D
Thanks for the video! I really needed to know what to apply before I become 21.
Great video! 8:46, that's a great point and a very funny example. Thank you for everything Bobby.
Fantastic video! Great advise not just for art but for life, Thankyou for this :)
I really needed it, thank you.
Thanks as always Bobbi! Just shared this on my FB, not just for the chance to win a schoolism subscription, but because, as always, you're giving awesome advice. Thanks again

Thank you for this! love your stuff as always!
thanks Abdul
I can't find a way to express you how grateful I am, so I will write this humble comment ... Thank you to be that adult and experienced voice that I needed to hear in this phase of my life, this make me feel hopeful and motivated in what I want to do with my career, even if i am too young. Thank you so much, and sorry for my bad english.
Very motivating!
Excepting one thing that doesn't work for me. I can't "challenge". I just get scared and avoid it. It tends to work better if I just take the challenge as any other ordinary task.
This is a fantastic video thank you so much!
This is 360° inspirational. Thanks Bobby Chiu.
thank you Jimi
Thank you Bobby, you're awesome!
thank you TransformersGeek

So much inspiring !!!!!
Thank you so much Bobby! I just turned 21 and I want to be a great artist too.
Excellent, insightful advice. I am 51 and all of the points rang true through my entire life. Particularly liked the part about 'cultivating love': indeed love and passion have to be nourished, explored, learned and watered like a plant :) It makes them flourish!
Thanks for your lovely comment +tfa1910! ~ R
Wow. Definitely needed to hear this.
So glad this video was helpful to you!! :) Thanks for watching!
~S
Thank you so much Bobby!
You're welcome :)
Hey man. I love your videos. I’m 21 and a fine arts student in buffalo ny. After about 5 minutes of your videos I get super excited about whatever I’m about to make. Tonight my routine is 30 minutes reading about face 30 minutes drawing a portrait and 30 minutes painting
Right on! Keep it up :)
Awesome video as always! :) I'm not young any longer, and sometimes this gets me really down since I'm not where many younger artists are, and it really gets me down. "Is this for nothing? Am I too old?" And I always remember your words from "The Perfect Bait": what matters is hard work and discipline. Still is tough, but we have to believe!
So, do you have any advice for us old folks? I didn't went to artschool, so being self taught and old... I think many can relate.
Thanks again for your amazing an life changing work!
I should make a video about this... thank you for this comment lol
I'm almost 21, looks like I've been blessed with a jackpot.
I wish there were a podcast or video series with a bunch of examples of successful conversations so I could know what to do. I swear, parts of my brain shut down when I enter a conversation with too many unknown variables.
Thank you for the motivation, Bobby!
Thank you for watching!! :)
~S
