@@urgentadam2047 Hmmmm.... Based upon what Mallory is describing in this interview, it sounds like the purple teams come in handy for jobs such as, to quote MM: "Going after a guy who's assembled a crew that's digging ditches around Kabul, to plant IUDs." I can see a case for purple teams composed of 4-6 men being the most shrewd bet, when it comes to Mitch Rapp-ish(no, I don't share Vince Flynn's personal beliefs. Dude can write an action scene though, and his books are fun)operations such as this, and they're also probably the most effective when it comes to gaining huminit in parts of the world like Afghanistan and civil war torn Syria. I guess at this point though, so many folks in Washington want in on the action, there's great hesitation to so much as suggest that we consolidate a lot of this activity, and perhaps even do away with some organizations entirely. Similar to The USMC setting up MarSoc, largely because they were butt hurt over not being included in the initial invasion of Afghanistan

Great episode!
And at 16 minutes, slips that we're going to fight Russia.
Can you interview a Nuclear site SRT member? Wanting to know more about the paramilitary group that protects facilities like that
CIA. Ordinary people who accomplish the extraordinary, against incredible odds and adversity, in an awful world.

CIA Paramilitary Officer that just glazed over the Atlanta PD website for UN General Assembly and NATO.
LMAO @ the buddy program. I did the same thing in the Army except on signing day my "buddy" backed out. I'm glad I followed through, best decision I ever made then or now and was only 17 at the time.

Can you work with your guest on their audio setup before they’re on the show? Mail them a mic instead of putting them on speaker phone or their laptop mic. Your content is great, but the audio is terrible.
I was thinking the same thing I had trouble understanding him

No need for American presence in Afghanistan at this point. Just start dropping important supplies.

Nice to hear a bit about cycles of learning and progression aligned with functional teams and systems. I'm a salty SoB at heart; sadly, not a part of these teams🫡. Hopefully, lessons learned will be applied. Efficacy combined with limiting human death and property destruction in the 'hot zones' to come. Targeting Officers: Pre/Post operation meetings, materials, motives, psychology and location..beautiful stuff🧐

I am very interested in the topic of this podcast and tuned in as a result, however, being prior military and a recovering alcoholic I can't deal with the host getting steadily drunk. I was kinda disappointed.
🤣🤣🤣
Stop being so entitled. The world doesn't work to you liking. Just turn the screen off and listen to it as a podcast. I didn't even know he was drinking until I saw your comment and had to go backm
