After a long hunt, I finally found my white Chanel GST with gold hardware! I found it preloved, with a surprise giant red lipstick stain in the pocket and structure loss from improper storage. I sent it in to Leather Surgeons for restoration and a spa cleaning service. Open the box with me to see the result!

I sent my gst I bought in 2006 in NM Chanel last month, they didn’t do this good of a job. They changed all zippers and hardware, and charged me 700$. No liner change, no structure rebuilt, no recoloring. But they did mention if I send my bag outside for treatment, they will never take it again.
Wow! With that kind of overpriced subpar service, why would you WANT to take it back to them for restoration?!? They mentioned at Leather Surgeons that they do a lot of structure rebuilds because Chanel doesn’t use sturdy enough stays in several of their bags, especially the Gabrielle. They buckle and look very aged very quickly. I would use this place again in a heartbeat! 💗
@@GretaBeth I agree with you. I asked Chanel repair department to rebuild my bag and clean my liners; I don’t care about changing the hardware. Mine is black caviar, and the new hardware is much lighter than my original one. (Worse quality but lighter to carry). I only accept to pay because I did not want conflict with my SA; she is always nice to me. So I walked out. Also, I asked Fashionphile; They told me if I sent it to a non-Chanel repair, they would not buy out my item anymore. Again a cashvalue vs better repair debate.

I love this. They did an amazing job! I just purchased a GST from Fashionphile so it's good to know that Leather Surgeons can reinforce the sides as the bag wears over time. I sent my Chanel Maxi flap (also purchased from Fashionphile) to them and it came back looking almost brand new. Enjoy your "new" GST Greta.
