    I've had my unit for a while now, and I have to tell people that there is a bit of a learning curve to learn how to use it properly. But once you do, the product is far superior to seeing what's in walls, floors and ceilings than a simple stud finder.

    Kyle ... After you cut your floor for the electric conduit, and filled it back in ..Did you put concrete back over your cut and if you did, how thick was it ??? Or just put pea gravel back over it... Reason I asked is I will be using my Walabot DIY 2 attempt to locate a waterline pipe under a slab that is leaking ... Do you feel it will locate the metal cpper piping under the slab ??

      I poured dry concrete back in, i didn't wet it though, I figured if I ever have to go back i didn't want to break it back up. I'm not sure if it will find the copper, i'm not sure if it only found it because it wasn't "solid" concrete but it finds wires and other pipes in the walls and behind my tile backsplashes.

      Hi Jim..did you end up trying the walabot for your pipes? I’m looking into it for the exact same reason so would love to know how you went if you did. Thanks 😊

    I wish you had demonstrated how the Walabot works on detecting piping behind wall tile like in a kitchen or bathroom. In Expert Mode does a pipe appear blue? Can you see the pipe behind the wall tile in Image Mode?

    My walls are spray foam insulation and then drywalled with a dead air space in-between . I am wondering if you have tried the Walabot on this type of wall and if it will find things that are covered with the foam in the wall ?

    Questions for you Kyle. You know how an 8"x16" concrete cinder block has 2 hollow cavities each about the size of a 4x4? and then in the middle and on the ends there is a piece of solid block that acts basically like a stud? Will it detect those solid portions?
    I am needing to find the solid and hollow cavities on an exterior block wall and would like to know if this works for that purpose?
    I'm not sure about your area but where I live the typical home construction has 8x16" cinder blocks and then 5/8" of stucco over it to give you an idea of what I am looking to see through.

      Hey, honestly I don't know. I haven't run into that scenario with my house or places I've used the Walabot. It's worked on my drywall, stucco house, and wood floor seeing the conduit under in a cavity I had cut to run new wiring but I haven't done anything with cinderblocks.

    Kyle, thanks for your videos. Early in yhthis video you said there were wires above the outlets, which you knew were there. But when you scanned 'below' the electrical plug, it showed the same red images. Was that a false reding, or are there also wires going 'down' from the electricasl plug? Thanks

      There are light switches on the opposite side of the wall too. it's a wall full of wires everywhere. It may have been from one of those.

    Hi Kyle, is it possible to find water pipe leakage with this device? What you think? Thanks.

    • @kyle8198
      @kyle8198  5 років тому

      I'm not sure. I know for sure you can find the pipe. But from their commercial it would seem you could find a moving rat in a wall, why not find moving liquid. I'd imagine that since the electrical shows up as Red RF then liquid may show up as something else. Give them a call and find out.

      @@kyle8198 I will contact them. If you have an oportunity to test moving liquid please do, that would be awesome. Thanks.

      I made another video seeing them through tile and heat through my wood floor and concrete.

  • @megatrolltrollington

    I don't think rf frequency detects thermal radiation. Its probably detecting a difference in the rf signal of the concrete, and the concrete with the conduit when the rf returns to the device after hitting the wire. I'm no radio scientist though.

      I didn't make this thing and I'm no mathmagician on how it works lol. I just know it somehow sees the power lines through my tile and through my wood floor & slab floor. Maybe it's magic?

    If you want to use the Walabot on the tiled wall, you need to calibrate on the tiled wall.
    If you calibrate on a different wall than the one you're scanning, your results will be completely unreliable

    Will it show if there are termite trails behind the wall?

    • @kyle8198

      I don't think it would show that. I haven't had the need to check.

  • @PartyMTLcom

    Stop lifting it off of the wall after calibration. It must stay on the wall!

    The company advertises that the product works on all Android phones. This is not true. It only works on Android phones that support USB On-the-Go. Many, if not most, Android phones out there today do not support USB On-the-Go.

    • @samsh0-q3a
      @samsh0-q3a 5 років тому +1

      false, opposite is true, most androids post 2015 support USB OTG. upgrade.

    • @ThePonyfan
      @ThePonyfan 5 років тому +2

      @@samsh0-q3a There are a lot of pre-2015 phones in use. Walabot has a list of phones that support USB OTG but they do not post the list to their website. They only offer the list after you have already purchased the device and discover that it does not work on your Android. The product is expensive enough. I'm not buying their product and a new phone to see wall studs. My C. H. Hanson magnetic stud finder works great for $7.99.
