She was the substitute art teacher so I’m not sure if it counts as a firing. We were making origami ornaments and she told a 10 yo he was doing the folds wrong because “I can’t slit your throat with this” while rubbing the paper across his neck. I never saw her again after that.

In year 11,my English teacher went on leave for hospital and was replaced for a devil of a teacher for two week before her “ contract ran out”. She tried to make us buy from her online english revision store, tried to say she paid for passed paper question when we saw her get them out of the English department lessons cabinet out side our classroom and when we did take her lies went and ran to the head of English. Even the teachers didn’t like her and actually want to pull her out year 7-9 classes to protect them. What finally did it was her taking a year 7 inhaler while they were having a asthma attack in her lesson and trying to give them detention for interrupting her lesson and keeping the inhaler till the end of the day. My class confirmed when we saw the inhaler on her desk after the break.
I'm glad that one OP called the media and protested their corrupt school. That kind of justice is just 😙👌

I had a professor in college who got canned during the 4th semester. He was a photography/filmography teacher and the details are a bit fuzzy, but from what I understand, he either:
1. snuck into a restricted area to take photos and got caught
2. had a friend who snuck into a restricted area to take photos and got caught, and he was fired due to association.
Either way, I'm not entirely sure he deserved it. It seemed like an honest mistake, from what I'd heard.

No one got fired for my incident (unfortunately), but despite rules saying it wasn't allowed, my high school kept inhalers locked up in the office. I have an asthma attack, take the elevator (I'm in a wheelchair) and sit there for several minutes wheezing and crying because I can't breathe. Finally, FINALLY someone gets me my inhaler, and my friend had to hold and pump it for me because I was barely conscious. My mum threatened the school with a lawsuit, and they stopped forcing students to keep inhalers in the office.
Later, that same school called my mum to drive from work and pick me up because I was going into anaphylactic shock. The HOSPITAL called and reamed them out, saying if I had been just a few minutes later, I could have died or suffered permanent damage, and why the fuck didn't they call an ambulance?!
I have a lot more stories about that school board, man. And not many are good.
I was fired for not doing the morning training, despite only doing 2 morning shifts the whole time I was there
I had a friend who was a Spanish teacher who was about 2 years from retirement and was also teaching part-time at the college. A group of kids were mad he failed them so they got him fired. He lost both his jobs and his marriage failed. He was put on suicide watch. The kids eventually confessed but because their parents were connected in our town he didn't get his job back. His life was totally destroyed. He ended suing the school district and he got a bundle but has a gagg order put on him. They kept giving him bad references. I've lost track of him. G.A. Both of these happened at the same school in 8th grade when I was there. Had one teacher (Remedial Spelling) get into a shouting match with a kid. Kid slaps teacher in the face, teacher slaps back. Not sure what happened to the kid but teacher was fired. Another teacher (Art) couldn't control her students so she just starts screaming at us to shut the frick up, runs out of the room and we never see her again. Principal takes over for the rest of the day and we have a substitute for the rest of the year.
The gay black guy story, yeah, happens to straight ones too. I'm in West Texas and my kid's baby sitter's school was in an uproar over a male teacher getting fired for a false accusation. Girl even admitted it was false. Kids all protested. No dice, still fired, and he moved.
My freshman teacher (i cant remember the subject she taught) said I wouldn't pass unless I agreed to go on dates with guys in the class. She got put on probation and fired at the end of the year once I spoke to administration since mom wouldn't do anything and told me to go along with it. As to why she said that, she overheard me and a few other girls talking about boys and I had said I wasn't intrested in dating until after I was established in my career. She told me that was abnormal and insisted on me dating in high school.

Fired for reporting abuse and harrassment of my supervisor to HR, but they disguised it as firing me for recording evidence of him being abusive in my pocket, all you could hear was sound and the video itself was just a black screen. Meanwhile he takes photos all over the site and harrassed someone for things that weren't his job (the building had a no photo/video policy and no one thought to have annual reminders for the 3 years i was there, only was told the one time)
and that's how they fired me in retaliation for reporting abuse while having a more legal excuse to get rid of me. I take it as a badge of honor in a way, it shows they saw me as a threat. Not to mention not a single soul otherwise on that job site was happy to see me go, everyone just hated the supervisor even more as he continued watching movies at his desk while we were understaffed and struggling
Mechanic teacher had relations with female students. He was my homeroom teacher. Only had him one class (for our school homeroom is only used for freshmen first day and SATs) but damn.

That one teacher I really hated first got put on leave (we got a long term sub) after he got arrested for driving while on sleeping pills, then later got fired after he got arrested for driving drunk.
Damn. Evidently I went to every boring school in this nation. It was a big deal that my 5th grade teacher came to my house for dinner once because my also teacher mom invited him. He was one of my favorite teachers and we were his first class, we're still in touch. So lucky to have so many great teachers and have one as a mom. I read constantly, and, of course, became a comedy writer. Find great teachers, get paid to be a wise ass writer for tv, make your teacher parent proud yet crazy at the same time. Win/Win. The thing with Mr. Ethan was horrifying, it is heartbreaking, I hope that student wakes up every day living that. The guitar player teacher was awesome and we all got to sing with him once a week, pretty sure the school knew it was going on. He was not fired. Guitar playing teachers in the 1970s was probably a mandatory staff member.

Principal was a drunk and had more than three DUIs
Assistant principal was a former underwear model who creeped on the girls (he did it to me. I was 13 and looked like I was 10! 🤮)
High school
Football coach was a _MASSIVE_ drunk. Hit a fence four times while trying to back out of a 30 foot gap.
English teacher would play with himself through his pockets during lectures. Liked to look down the girls' shirts. (*finally* fired in my brother's sophomore year the guy was arrested for having CP on his _unlocked_ classroom computer)
Boys baseball coach (also my brother's sophomore year), during an away game, got escorts and booze for the whole team. His fate is unknown to me (I've tried to find out what happened but I've had no luck.)
I'm sure I'm missing a couple of ones but I can't think of anything. Will update if I remember.

Sounds like our jazz band director. His wife found out his band assistant was also pregnant ( wife was pregnant too) caused quite a scandal and the wife broke her teaching contract and left town. The town and school turned a blind eye as long as he brought the jazz band to first place every year until they didn't win one year they finally fired him. I don't know if he faced legal action as I'd graduated by then.
1 teacher told mom her kid needed diapers and she would intentionally hold this kid back, kid was in third grade and had won the presidential award.
2 teacher wouldn't teach kid cursive because kid A didn't belaive in God, and B kid was left handed. Makes kid repeatedly write own name and fall behind in writing and even through math.
3. Spanish teacher was fired for discriminating against one handed kid.
4. First year Welding teacher didnt have a clue how to weld, intentionally Burned and failed a girl. Mom got involved, and teach announced she wouldn't be returning next year
Should mentioned welding teach refuse d to teach a trans kid also, and the girl who was being screwed by the teacher for months had been teaching this boy because they where friends, and this girl knew how to weld before the school year started

He got fired 2 years after I left and after less than a year after I moved, his dogs killed my cat that I had to leave behind because not enough room in my car (she was still being cared for because my dad stayed behind a year to sell the house). Just explain the situation to your boss, they will come up with a solution far better than lying or just assuming your position is the correct choice

36 kids in a class too much? In 5th grade we were given an assignment regarding each state of the union. After we ran out of the 48 (this was prior to Alaska and Hawaii) we were given countries, alphabetically, mine was Cuba and Yanarillo and the Zabreski twins were after me so 54 kids in the class. My wife knew a teacher who had 83 first grade kids in her class. Just to clarify, both classes mentioned were in Catholic schools. It wasn’t the fear of God which kept the kids in line it was Mother Superior and if that failed the parish priest.
I'm not sure about America but in Canada there are legal limits on how many children can be in the care of one person. After you hit the limit you need a second or third or etc. person to accomodate

I like how in the US school system the teacher is employed by the school and not by the Ministry of Education. So, if the principal has it out for some teacher...fired...some kid says something to his mother...fired...well, in civilized countries you cannot be fired without due process...but that's only i civilised countries
Not fired or quit ..yet. my work expects me to do multiple people's job they just shuffle me in a different department every couple of days.out of the 30 or so employees maybe 10 of us actually do what we're supposed too.others don't have any conquences,but holds the good workers at a higher standards and yell at us more than the slackers.i was also told I was wage capped 2 years ago I had a raise since but chump change only thing keep me there is the ideal hours and complacency 😮🎉

I got my science teacher fired actually it was me and my friends we noticed you only drank from his thermos so what did we do we went up to his thermos and emptied the contents into our water bottles which it was vodka and we put water back in he went and took a squig coughed swore flipped his desk and freaked out and stormed out of the room never saw him again
