2:36:58 I also used to work at a movie theatre. They asked me to role play any character from any movie with them. I chose the shark from 'Finding Nemo'. First question interviewer asked, 'So how did you find Nemo?'. Without hesitation, I responded, 'I found him very tasty!' He told me later I got the job then and there. His choice was solidified when I aced the 'Kevin Smith Films 'group quiz later that afternoon.
Best job I ever had!
Job interviews are great and entertaining for me. I love em. Good or bad. Sometimes I purposely fail it when I can feel bad energy in a specific place.
the name schlumberger 3:35 rang a bell to me because we use to use their oil drills. the oil business is a rough place for a lady and you have my respect
My Interviewer was late for about 30 mins, I wished I had asked her (HR Director) the question, If I was late 30 mins would you still hire me ?.
Did they answer? Usually If the interviewer is late and doesn’t apologize they definitely will not value your personal time in the future.
CIA: what laws are you willing to break for us.
Me: Well you guys don't follow any laws, so...
CIA: Correct! You're Hired!
18:45 or create a curated online persona so when people look you up it's all positive.
52:35 wait in your car or at a nearby place until 10-15 mins of the scheduled time. I've always went to the place of interview early but not go into the office until about 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Interviewing is a game, you have to play it by the rules.
Friend once applied to a job repairing MRI's. So not a lot of people on the planet with the educational skills to do the job. Anyway, during the interview the company owner told my friend that fornication between employees was forbidden and would result with immediate termination. This guy kept bringing up that fornication outside of marriage was frowned upon, etc. He repeatedly used the word fornication. My friend didn't get the job and was not disappointed.
How odd lol
Lol, a he's got sex on his mind
I remember seeing an interview with David Frost on British TV. He was a British talk show host and newspaper columnist (among other things!). Anyway, in the 70's he interviewed Richard Nixon for American TV. When the two of them were in the lift going up to the television studio to record the interview, Nixon apparently said to Frost "Did you and your partner fornicate last night?". Needless to say, Frost was a little taken aback by this, but didn't let it phase him at all, and I believe the interview was quite legendary at the time. I guess Nixon had no idea how to make small talk with people.
I’m a girl and have a degree in welding technology and oil refinery maintenance and those sexist questions at an interview is very accurate, the only time it was not an issue is when I worked union work .
You’re a female welder? I’ve never come across one here. I think it’s cool
That's because in the real working world, the only thing that matters is your ability to produce quality and value. So many of the women who apply to traditionally male, high pay for high value jobs can't actually produce, they expect their male co-workers to take up their slack. Affirmative Action has really hamstrung the very few women who actually can produce the required value for the pay. As for why the union didn't question if you could produce commensurate value for your pay, unions rely on laws and coercion, not commensurate value to bully employers into hiring union workers so of course you being an underperforming token female was absolutely not an issue for the unions.

When I get asked my biggest weakness Im always honest and say I have ADHD and asd (not the weakness btw), I explain that the biggest way it affects my work is that I have to been told things very directly with no room for me to misunderstand. For example u can't say "we need someone on tills" you would have to say "we need YOU in tills". Most employers understand this and my old manager told me they appreciate that I was honest in the interview
For the first one, don't they know your birthday from the job application? I'm confused
Dude was loopy...
52:40 Try showing up to work 30 mins before your clock in time every day for 5 years straight... Then the bosses claim you are not dedicated to your job.... The 30 minutes was incase traffic was bad, construction zones, putting your stuff in the lockers etc.
Lmao, "they asked me what my disability was, so I noped the heck out of there right away, if they ask me that I don't want to work for them." This is the stupidest shit I've ever heard! Companies are willing to accommodate to their employees in order for them to receive any needed help to be able to accomplish their jobs! How are you going to get mad when they are asking what your disability is so that they may begin to ensure they make the appropriate changes that will help you if you were to get that job?
Serious............. Why are there so many ads, and why are they all crammed together in the beginning of the video? I'm so glad I figured out how to skip all of the ads lbvs.

Absolutely crazy how many places will just ask blatantly illegal questions. And how many of them are pertaining to young female applicants getting pregnant or intimate. So creepy.
I'm self employed but back when I worked jobs, if someone tried to waste my time by making me jump through hoops to cover for their lack of skill at hiring, I just got up and left. I'm here to make your company and me money. That's the ONLY reason I want this job. If you can't ask me pertinent, relevant questions so default to covering your ego with BS questions, I'll bet there's a lot of other stuff you're not good at, like running a profitable business.
You're not just interviewing me, I'm interviewing you as well. Hope you pass.
I was stunned to hear the one where someone asked for my computer passwords. I'd tell them that's what con artists do to old people and proceed to leave. If someone is a criminal, I think they would do a better job of hiding it. I would leave with my middle finger in the air, say some very nasty words about how I feel about con men, and leave. I'd also tell them to prepare their anus for prison. Maybe it was just a test to see how dumb an employee can be?
5:25 Good move. When companies do that, the old "When they make a dollar, I make a dime" mantra applies, only worse. Plus, if a company ever tries to rip you off, you can tell them that you won't renew their license, have fun reinventing the wheel.
7:04 I also think it would be funny if you said you were limited in what you could explain, due to various security requirements. Any attempt to manipulate me into giving an answer could lead to a long prison sentence for you. I have a limited understanding about the military and secret codes, I just know that some things you aren't allowed to tell anyone outside certain circles. One man who worked on the B2 Stealth would get awards for service and wasn't allowed to tell his own family what some of those awards were for. I think it was only until several years later, he finally got permission to do so.
No
I lost my last job(the main one as I call it) a handful of months before pandemic shutdown and didn’t get a job until the end of April of this year with the school district as a lunch lady. One of the things that they asked about was my small custodian job I have at a church. It’s a small place and I’m just a staff of 1 to clean it. But it’s pretty easy due to the size and I make my own hours as long as it gets done before Sunday services and the occasional event. I can adjust my time there for any schedule I’ll get since it’s not a high paying place but it is a good side job. I told them all of this, in more of a professional tone obviously and they were ok with it. Unemployment had a few more questions then the school district but they needed to make sure it wasn’t a something that would be considered as a livable wage.
I don't even get to the interview anymore.
"You didn't list the pay for the job, what's your pay rate for this position?"
"$20-$24/hr based on experience. I may be able to get you $21 with your experience" (12 years)
"No thanks, that's too low." (And frankly insulting when asking for multicraft troubleshooting for a fortune 100 company)
I still remember one of my father's stories that involved calling daily until they had a day where they were under staffed and offered to work a half shift under the table to prove his capabilities. They asked him to stay later and her accepted, they asked a second time and he explained that unless he had a job offer he had to leave for his current job. They offered him a job and he quit his previous one. Now how many "rules did he and this company break by today's standards.
It’s bothersome that so many ppl don’t mention reporting these interviewers. By not doing so they continue to engage in this inappropriate questioning.
For those who think they’ve dealt with hostile work environments…
… unless you’ve served in the fucking military, you have literally NO idea what “hostile work environments” are.
Forget about being interrogated about personal shit… imagine getting yelled at just for asking for the location of a certain tool necessary to do an assigned job, or threatened with physical violence just for not being able to do things fast enough.
Hell, imagine having to owe your supervisor LUNCHES just for FORGETTING SHIT!!
You have no idea what “hostile work environments” are.
You have the same conditions in retail.
+ You get the sexual harassment on top of it if you are a young woman.
@@katarinatibai8396
Fucking Christ! Are your supervisors MEN? If so, you should sue the damn company.
Manhole covers are round so the cover doesn't fall into the pipe itself
It's funny how many people are asked illegal questions and don't report it. Report that shit! Even if nothing happens immediately at least there will be a record of their illegal behavior following them wherever they go.
I filled out an application at a restaurant.
Told my unemployment consular that they asked for your birthday on it.
She insisted I bring it in to her.
I did, she photo copied it, and must have raise heck over it.
(it is illegal in the USA to ask your age for a job)
That Hispanic guy in the second story was being racist.
Hope he got fired.

Worked for a local Japanese restaurant for 3 days. My last day I was asked to fill a lady's glass several times. This lady did not want her glass filled, but managers insisted. Manager eventually fills without asking. I ask for my schedule the next day as it had been word of mouth at that point. They said I had a day off tomorrow. Cool. Called next day, still no hours. Call again. Nope. Next time I asked if I had done something wrong and had been fired. They said no. Dad and I go there to pick up my wages, owner is saying how nice my dad is as I am signing a w 2. She basically was butt kissing and said she would give me hours that week. She did not. Mom and step dad have dinner and stepdad calls store about their help wanted sign pretending he was a potential employee. They excitedly tell him they are hiring. When he checks out he confronts the owner about this. If they are hiring they should let me have hours. She said they were not and had left the sign up. She also claims my dad was being very violent towards her when we came in last. This conversation led us to decide the store was not worth our time and I never eat there anymore. None of my family does either. It was the weirdest situation I had ever encountered, and I am sure it was over the not filling a drink thing. Family thinks she wanted free work as I hadn't signed any paper work or have an electronic clock in system in place when I was working. They kept written records of everything though.
Also, sad story my stepdad heard. A girl interviews for the restaurant he is managing. He wasn't her interviewer, but I think he was asked to talk to her at some point. Somehow in the middle of her interview she began tearfully telling them about being violated while in the kitchen at a local Mexican restaurant. Dont know the full story but it made my family and I sick knowing this happened and we have since stopped going.

The age question to me makes sense in some situations, there’s some jobs where you legally have to be over a certain age (e.g. my previous job required you to be over 18 by law)
Fucks sake people need to nut up and sue for illegal questions. Go to your cities free legal aid program for help.
Why is that dude mad that he's not actually native Canadian.. if you're white and from Canada, you're not actually native lmao

I do think that asking a woman if she was planning on having a baby soon or if she is pregnant is actually a legitimate question. I know it’s personal, but they need to know because its going to cost the company money.
United States law requires that everyone have equal opportunities regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or transgender status), age (over 40), disability, genetic information, retaliation for engaging in Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).
@@nataliep501 yeah I know...but I still think its a legitimate question...laws can be just dumb sometimes..or just dont fit every narrative
.
@@nataliep501 That's not the issue, the issue is, is it right for you to make a decision regarding the employer's workforce without allowing them to be involved in the decision? It's about women gaming the system. You wouldn't like it being done to you yet you hide behind fiat laws to whitewash what is an immoral ploy on your part. If you want to have kids, wonderful. Have them. But be an adult and tell the perspective employer that that is what you intend to do. Women pull shit like this and wonder why they don't get taken seriously. Be an adult and you will be treated like one.
These questions about pregnancy are 100% legitimate. Deal with it.
Years ago....they asked,, 'is there anyway I could lie on my application to state that I had a mixed minority bloodline, so they could hire me'. Then again same thing happened on a college application. Ummmm no.
If an interviewee is disregarding someone in the room, surely there is accountability to be placed on the failure to communicate how much influence each manager present has on the hiring decision.
Yeah, wanting employees that share Christian values is not that terrible. And like you said, for you, it would be hell. So now, you already know it’s not for you. But I bet for someone who is Christian, having a job like that would be a good fit, and that’s what the interviewer wanted to find out.
I am worker also, i don't get what's wrong about these pregnant stuff. It's a valid question to not waste company's money for your life choises.
